Field View at Mundesley Reviews

"Cannot fault the lodge"
Verified Guest - Apr 2024
"Lovely holiday park within 5mins walk of the beach along the cliff top. Our lodge was beautiful, pet friendly 3 bed field view with hot tub (no3). Couldnt fault it, very clean with everything you could need for self catering, with some lovely dog friendly pubs around. We will definitely be back"

"Some scuffs on walls and under floor heating not working in one en suite and hot tub jets on two sides didnt work"
Verified Guest - Feb 2024
"Perfect for us. Spacious and comfortable. Spotlessly clean and has everything you need for a home away from home.We stayed as a couple but 4 people old comfortably stay."
Lynda - Feb 2024
"Very clean lodge exactly what we were looking for, very happy with the bathrobes milk bread and bread on arrival"
Sarina - Feb 2024
"The photo on the advert is very misleading, we expected a lodge with a nice green outlook as shown. In reality the lodge is on a very crowded holiday park where the only view is walls and windows of the next door accommodation. Fortunately these were empty at our time of visiting. We had to wash some of the glasses and mugs before use as they were unclean.More cutlery needed, we had to wash up between courses when planning a special 3 course meal, that was just for 2 of us.Mirrors needed in the bedrooms over the dressing tables.Chairs around the dining table were very grubby and stained. The lodge was warm and comfortable. The staff around the park were friendly and helpful."

"Such a lovely place to go and chill and relax"

"As a family we have always been on Haven holidays but in recent years Havens standard of cleanliness has been shocking so this year we have tried different companies to holiday with. For cleanliness Mundesley Holiday Village is outstanding and blows the competition out of the water. The last thing anybody wants to do when they go on holiday is to start cleaning their accommodation and we were very grateful of the supplies for example milk, coffee, butter, bread etc. it was also a very kind thought to leave in our cabin selection boxes for our children which they enjoyed. I wouldnt hesitate going back there at all, it had the wow factor and was beautiful, It was perfect and we couldnt fault it at all.Thank you to all the team at Mundesley for a wonderful holiday/experience.Paul, Alison & kids."

"Shortly before our holiday we were contacted by very helpful and friendly staff about our stay, provided with all the extra information needed and were given a warm welcome in advance for our arrival. When we got to the holiday village we found our lodge (no 18) absolutely spotless and perfectly made up for our stay. The decor was lovely throughout with no signs of any use from other guests. As it was self catering there was everything to hand that was needed for cooking to washing clothes. There was nothing we could have thought of that we would have need extra. A folder was placed in full sight with very helpful information from instructions for appliances to useful numbers for food, taxi services and even the hospital and vet. Additionally there were numerous places listed to visit etc. The staff we very polite and friendly and very respectable of us when they came to check the hot tub everyday. The holiday village was very well kept and in lovely rural surroundings. There was a costal walk literally a few metres away, we walked each day with our dog and enjoyed it every time. If we were asked if there was anything we would be picky about or suggest we honestly would have trouble but maybe only 2 things that we personally would have liked and probably others wouldnt be bothered about. These were that it would have been good to have had a hook on the large living room doors onto the decking so if you didnt want all of the doors open just one could be kept from blowing shut secured with the hook and although there were 2 very large bathroom mirrors it would have been nice for a full length mirror in one of the rooms. We thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful stay in the lodge and certainly would stay there Again."

"Beautiful and luxurious, comfortable furniture and beds. Kitchen excellent if you want to self cater. Nearest big supermarket at North Waltham. Welcome pack was thoughtful and fresh."
Dee - Jun 2023
"Lovely place only downside apart from cost was the double bed for a luxury villa was poor"
Stefano - May 2023
"Brilliant & cosy cottage far enough out the way to be secluded but close enough to local amenities. Amazing hotub & bathroom with underfloor heating throughout tops it off. The owners, Rob & Sharon are wonderful! (And of course Bonnie) Will definitely be coming back again for longer ASAP!!"
Christopher - Nov 2024
"Beautiful cottage with hot tub and log burner. lovely hosts, peaceful, perfect for our mini break. Hope to return for longer soon!"
Emma - Nov 2024
"Really well equipped house, lovely and warm too which was so nice on a rainy December day! Bath was just lovely and a nice big shower! The property is under a flight path - this did not disturb us at all! Dont be put off! A great location for dogs who hate fireworks as it's in the middle of nowhere. Really beautiful, well converted property. Thank you! "
Phoebe - Nov 2024
"It was everything we wanted for our weekend away and we loved staying here. We'll definitely be back! Our pups absolutely loved the underfloor heating and had so much fun in the garden. In fact Luna came home with a strained tail and according to the vet it was because she was wagging it so much over the weekend!! Very happy pups and hoomans!"
Andrew - Nov 2024
"Lovely cottage. Great location for us. Away from the hustle and bustle. Great hot tub . Lovely helpful non intrusive owners. They have it just right!"
Simon - Nov 2024
"Absolutely loved how well maintained and equipped this cottage is. Plenty of dog walks right on the doorstep. Very friendly host, they were so efficient and communication was excellent. We enjoyed meeting the animals on the farm and the very curious pig penelope. Perfect escape for us and the doggos. Will definitely be back, brilliant value!! Highly recommend. "
Brooke - Nov 2024
"Beautiful property, spotlessly clean, well equipped and very comfortable, had a fabulous break, hot tub amazing x"
Libby - Nov 2024
"Very kind and considerate owners. Couldnt be better. Enormously helpful and extremely pleasant. Charming half-timbered cottage with a great strong shower, cosy kitchen & living room combination and very comfortable bed. Fantastic parking directly next to the rented cottage. Well heated and very charming, and spotlessly clean. Great walks across the fields to the local village of Thaxted and of course within easy travelling distance of the village, replete with half-timbered houses and windmill. "
James - Nov 2024
"We had a wonderful time in Goddard Mead. The cottage was very complete and there were walks on the doorstep. The welcome and stay was very warm. The owners are lovely people."
Annemieke - Nov 2024
"The owners Rob & Sharon, have gone to a great deal of work to sympathetically convert this historic building & we couldn't have had a warmer greeting from them both & of course Bonnie. Goddard's Mead has everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay. The location is in a great area of Essex and would recommend taking the time to wander around Thaxted and other villages/towns nearby to discover it's fascinating history & buildings. "
Carol - Nov 2024
"Such a lovely place to stay in a really beautiful, private location. The owners were really friendly and helpful, nearby if needed but without breaking that sense of privacy. The hot tub was perfect after a day of cycling! One thing to be aware of, the cottage is right under Stansted's flight path, and so there's a lot of aircraft noise. It only took us a couple of hours to get used to it and it didn't spoil our holiday at all, but something to be aware of if you're sensitive to noise. "
Inderjit - Nov 2024
"The lovely cottage is situated on a working farm, but is very private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are delightful. The cottage is very spacious with good equipment in the kitchen and the bathroom. The bed is really comfortable. The garden is secluded; dog proof and with good furniture. There are numerous walks around. Thaxted has good restaurants. We liked The Star and The Maypole. The Swan and the Indian are not bad either. We thoroughly recommend this place. "
Richard - Nov 2024
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Sharon and Robert were great hosts and made us feel very welcome. The accommodation had everything we needed and was clean, comfortable and secure for our dog Archie. The location was ideal too with plenty of walks to find and Thaxted and surrounding villages are lovely places to visit. We felt our batteries had certainly been recharged during our week and we enjoyed our relaxing break! "
Denise - Nov 2024
"Stayed here for a week from 15 to 22 July with our 2 mini daschund girls who thoroughly enjoyed there stay making new friends in the village of thaxted. The cottage is lovely especially the hot tub a bonus as it was the hottest days of the year so the water was coolled so it was more refreshing the hosts were very welcoming was nice to see there horses being taken to the fields each day you are on the flight path near stansted but I enjoyed watching the planes come in would definitely recommend "
Sharon - Nov 2024
"Lovely accommodation, very peaceful and relaxing and great for dogs as the garden is fully inclosed"
Fleur - Nov 2024
"Had such a lovely, relaxing break. Cottage was immaculate, equipped with everything you need and some lovely added extras too. Couldnt recommended more"
Antonia - Nov 2024
"Had a lovely weekend away staying here. Would love to come back later on in the year."
Rachel - Nov 2024
"Lovely friendly owners. Couldnt do enough when the power went down due to the storm. Very well equipped and clean. Very warm cottage. Our dog enjoyed the enclosed outside space and us the hot tub!"
Penny - Nov 2024
"Excellent quality and ser ice"
Fred - Jul 2022
"Amazing property with lovely views, all amenities available in property and a peaceful location only 5 minutes walk for the beach."
Peter - Jul 2022
"Very clean and friendly helpful staff"
Stephanie - Jul 2022
"Everything perfect regarding the lodge,no 18 was overlooked when you were in the hot tub, would have been better with a screen of some sort around it. Apart from that ,perfect."
Aileen - Jun 2022
"As a family we had an amazing time, very relaxing. Very clean with super friendly staff. The little touches made it for me , milk & butter in the fridge, tea , coffee & cookies on side , so on arrival you can have a nice cuppa ! We looked to book to go back but was fully booked for the rest of the year. There is a short walk to the beach , but if you struggle with walking I would suggest driving as it gets very steep."
Helen - Jun 2022
"Lodge was lovely and very clean. Communication was good before the holiday and staff helpful when I phoned with an enquiry. A few complimentary items left such as milk, butter, cookies and dishwasher tablets etc. which was a nice touch. Hot tub excellent. Only a few minor criticisms in that there wasn’t much privacy between the neighbouring hot tubs. Also in the bedroom there wasn’t anywhere to sit to do hair, make up etc. or a mirror and only 4 coat hangers supplied. The bed was very large and extremely comfortable though and each room has en-suite which is a bonus. One other slight disappointment was the access to the beach. I thought it would have been easier to walk there but with a baby’s pushchair we ended up having to drive there as it was down a narrow steep cliff path but once in the village there are a lot of shops, cafe and great pub."
Pamela - Jun 2022
"The lodge was great but it needs a full length mirror. Overall a good place to relax."
Ann - Jun 2022
"Lovely luxury lodge styled to a very high standard, Lodge 18 unfortunately has restricted views and feels slightly overlooked but we absolutely loved our stay at Mundesley Holiday Village."
Daniel - Jun 2022
"Field view was a fantastic lodge everything you needed staff on site very friendly we enjoyed our week hot tub was brilliant we had lovely weather plenty of places in easy reach to see owner has done wonders with this site"
Angela - May 2022
"The unit was brilliant hep was always on hand. Will book again in the future"
Rolf - May 2022
"Would have given a higher score if all the facilities were open. Having said that, the accommodation was first class. Really comfortable beds, high level of cleanliness. Very helpful friendly staff. Unexpected welcome pack upon arrival. Excellent communications."

Attractions Near Field View at Mundesley

Here are some of the activities and experiences you can enjoy on your visit to Field View at Mundesley. If you discover a worthy inclusion to this list on your hot tub break, please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too.
Sheringham Park - NR26 8TL
about 11 Miles
The National Trust Sheringham Park in Norfolk was designed by Humphry Repton and the book of original designs can still be seen. The park has many attractions including a viewing tower and a gazebo with amazing coastal views, wildlife trails which young children will love and an exhibition barn where visitors can learn the history of the park.
Bewilderwood - NR12 8JW
about 11 Miles
Bewilderwood is a fun day out for the whole family located in the Wroxham area of Norfolk.  This imaginative adventure park has won awards and we think kids especially will love the characters and the magical tree houses. You can even book your ticket online and beat the queues by visiting their website where you can also view video clips of the park. This place is also the setting for the book 'A Boggle at BeWILDerwood', by local children's author Tom Blofeld.  Parents are not left out either as you're encouraged to take part and play alongside your children.
Dinosaur Adventure Park - NR9 5JW
about 17 Miles
This fun family day out has been well planned and we think is certainly worth a visit.  New for 2010 is the PrimEvil at Dinosaur Adventure.  Other fun activities include the Dinosaur Trail, Arachnophobia, the Raptor Races and the adventure play area.  The secret animal garden is also popular.  You can play a role in wildlife conservation and sponsor an animal if you wish.  At the moment if you sign up for their newsletter there is a chance to win a family ticket.
Bishops Boats Seal Trips - NR23 1RY
about 18 Miles
This is a really unique attraction running daily seal watching trips from the middle of March right through to the end of October.  The experienced skippers will lead you out on one of the traditional wooden boats where you will have the chance to see both common and grey seals.  If you love animals then this is one attraction not to be missed! They also do some boat trips combined with guides on dry land such as seal watching combined with a visit to Blakeney Point Nature Reserve, owned by the National Trust.  We think this attraction is excellent value for money as they keep their admission prices low.
Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens - NR21 0LN
about 23 Miles
if you and your family are interested in nature and wildlife then Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens is the perfect place for a day out. This beautiful area of national parkland is home to a huge range of common and rare birds from sparrows to Red Crowned Cranes and also has a red squirrel enclosure - part of a conservation programme and now home to a family of adorable squirrels. Other activities to enjoy at Pensthorpe include pond dipping and Landrover discovery tours. Pensthorpe also played host to BBC'S Springwatch in 2010.
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park - NR32 4TZ
about 28 Miles
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park is an amazing 50 acres area of stunning coastal parkland and is packed with family friendly rides and attractions. This park is an excellent choice for families with children of varied ages as there are a number of small rides for the little ones as well as some adrenaline boosting white knuckle rides for teenagers. As well as rides the site hosts some fantastic shows including the ever popular Sea Lion and Parrot encounters. At Halloween, Christmas and Easter other themed shows can also be enjoyed.  The site also has a good range of places to eat and drink whether you are looking to spend a leisurely hour relaxing with a meal or just grab a quick snack.
Melsop Farm Park - NR20 3DT
about 30 Miles
We love this attraction in Scoulton, Norfolk with a great collection of animals.  Children and adults alike have the chance to get hands on with the animals in the special handling areas.  On rainy days there is always the indoor play area for the little ones and when it's time for a bite to eat the cafe on the farm is open all day selling drinks and snacks.  Hot food is available over lunch times.
Africa Alive - NR33 7TF
about 33 Miles
Africa Alive is one of Suffolk's largest attractions and one of the most popular in the whole of the UK.  The Africa themed park is very unique and gives visitors the chance to see some amazing creatures in a habitat which is as close to nature as possible. The park can be explored by car and on foot and Hyenas and Giraffes are just some of the animals you will encounter as you make your way around the park. Watch out for the lightning fast Cheetahs and keep your eyes peeled to spot the more reclusive creatures. During a day at Africa Alive there will be plenty of shows and educational talks taking place and if the weather turns then the indoor Adventure Play Ground comes in very handy. The site also has a well stocked Gift Shop and a Discovery Centre.
Banham Zoo - NR16 2HE
about 34 Miles
This award winning wildlife attraction has much to offer both families and couples looking for a fun and educational day out.  You can discover a whole wild world of animals with over 1000 different animals from around the world. You will probably want to try and spend the whole day here so you don's miss out on anything.  Highlights include the amazing animals presentation, the birds of prey display and the feeding talks, all of which take place at set times of the day.  This attraction is fantastic value for money and highly recommended.  Their latest event is the Snow Leopard Club Naming Auction and there has recently been a baby giraffe born at the zoo.
