The Hollies Kessingland Reviews

"A lovely, spacious lodge."
Rachael - Apr 2024
"Good accommodation. Site close to beach and local seaside towns."
Gill - Apr 2024
"FANTASTIC DONT DELAY BOOK IT TODAY A MUST FOR A REST"
Carol - Mar 2024
"The Jasmine was a lovely comfortable lodge home from home, and for pet friendly accommodation it was incredibly clean. It has a secure private garden with BBQ, and a secluded hot tub, which we took advantage off every day. The Lodge was fully equipped with all kitchen equipment but some oven gloves would have been handy. Great relaxing break, will definitely book again."
Verified Guest - Mar 2024
"Throughly enjoyed our break in this lovely, well equipped lodge. All very clean and a bonus to have two bathrooms. Kitchen had full size appliances and plenty of equipment to cook/eat in. Hot tub was super and we did not feel overlooked."
Verified Guest - Mar 2024
"One of the best, if not the best holiday lodge we have stayed in. The owners thought of everything. The lodge was spotless and beautifully decorated. It smelt so clean and fresh. There are plenty of board games and the lodge has WiFi for those rainy days. We would definitely recommend a stay here."
Shirley - Mar 2024
"Amazingly clean, with everything in it you could ask for. Dishwasher, even a washing machine! Loved it!"
Claire - Mar 2024
"All beautiful and with everything we needed!"
Verified Guest - Mar 2024
"We stayed in the Avocet lodge, it was lovely. Plenty of space, bedrooms and living space very comfortable. We all loved it! The only things that maybe could be improved is perhaps larger door mats, although we took shoes off at the door the door mat was small, and you could use 2 doors and there was only the small mat at one. A extra chair, there is a 2 seater sofa (you could squeeze 3 on but it would be cosy) and 2 armchairs, if you had 3 couples staying in the lodge or a family of 6 there would be a fight for the comfy seats!! The only other thing is perhaps a few extra pieces of kitchen crockery, perhaps a couple of larger dishes for cooking, as its self catering. We cooked one night and had to cook in batches as there wasnt a large enough dish or frying pan."

"A lovely relaxing stay in Jasmine Lodge. The hot tub was wonderful, with the water lovely and warm. Lots of storage, which we didn't really use as we were only there for 2 nights. My only criticism was the kitchen equipment could be more comprehensive. The lack of a corkscrew was a real gotcha, thank heavens we had a bottle with a screw top as well. A larger frying pan would also be a useful addition if cooking for more than two people. Despite these minor niggles, we would highly recommend and plan to book again."
Graham - Feb 2024
"It was spotless and it had everything you may need and very spacious"
Aidan - Feb 2024
"Great lodge everything you need clean and well kept but WiFi none existent.Good selection of shops close to site plus beach access directly off the site,if youre looking for a quiet and relaxing break would highly recommend"
Teddy - Jan 2024
"Perfect place. Would definitely return!"
Mica - Jan 2024
"The best Lodge we have stayed in , every facility we needed"
R T - Dec 2023
"Excellent ????"
Blerta - Nov 2023
"We had a fabulous week. The accommodation was everything we needed and was very comfortable. Thank you The Hollies"
Ali P - Nov 2023
"Great holiday
Recommend for a break away"
Michael - Aug 2020
"Accommodation was very nice, clean and practical."
Dominic - Aug 2020
"We had an amazing holiday, the lodge is beautiful.

A few negatives if I had to nit pick:
Black out curtains are needed in the master bedroom.
The ability to change the temperature on the hot tub would be nice. It wasnt warm enough in the evenings, only 36c.
The hot tub was emptied out at 8am on our last day so couldnt be used for a last quick dip. As you couldnt check in till 5pm on the first day then really there was only 3 full days in the lodge and hot tub for a 4 night stay."
Kate - Jul 2020
"Would happily stay here again and will look to book for later this year"
Janet - Jul 2020
"We stayed in the kingfisher lodge. It really was home from home, with a kitchen fitted out and equipped much better than my own. It was very clean, with modern furnishings, a couple of board games and a hot tub, which was the perfect way to end the day."
Joanne - Mar 2020
"Very good. Thank you."
Verified Guest - Mar 2020
"Dont go if you want any comms. Otherwise adequate"
Verified Guest - Feb 2020
"Lovely comfortable lodge with bunk beds for grandson he loved it and jacuzzi enjoyed in garden"
Linda - Feb 2020
"If your looking to relax its a great retreat"
Beverley - Feb 2020
"Very comfortable lodge. Unfortunate accident on site meant that we had no water for about 10 hours, but this did not spoil the long week end away."
Janice - Feb 2020
"Loved it! Cabin was beautiful with everything we needed, and the added bonus of a welcome pack. Thank you, will definately be back."
Deborah - Dec 2019
"the superior was really good and comfortable. stayed really warm with minimum heat input."
Luke - Nov 2019
"I cannot fault the experience in any way"
Peter - Nov 2019
"Lovely lodge in a peaceful area. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area."
Teresa - Jul 2022
"Loved it. We had a baby in our party so booked a travel cot. While the cot was not in our lodge upon arrival, staff brought it over and assembled it within minutes and also threw in a high chair. The lodge itself was lovely and perfect for our needs - also very well equipped with kitchen utensils which wasn’t our experience elsewhere in prior years. We hope to return."
Thomas - Jul 2022
"What a fantastic holiday we had very clean site plenty of space in our lodge, when we arrived to check in staff were more than helpful when being shown where we were staying we will definitely be back next year. ??"
Jenny - Jul 2022
"Second time we have stayed here and won’t be the last. Lovely surroundings near to a stunning beach. Facilities are immaculate and the staff so friendly and cheerful."
Sally - Jul 2022
"We stayed in the kingfisher like a few other people have said for the money you pay this could do with abit of a spruce up the screen over the bath has been broken since at least January and we have just been in July so looks like the same issue but then again I didn’t report it ,can’t fault the staff though our hot tub was checked everyday by a friendly park warden , it was quiet at night no club room ( which I think makes it better ) made our own entertainment we would come back again but it appears to be fully booked already"
Linda - Jul 2022
"The place is beautiful, the lodge was clean and the staff are very helpful. We had a great time. My little one could not stop smilling with the whole experience. Will definitely recommend and come again."
Dipen - Jun 2022
"A modern spacious lodge set on a well kept site with excellent facilities for all ages. It was just a few minutes walk from the sea shore and an easy stroll along the coastline into Lowestoft, which is well worth a visit. Southwold is nearby, and the car collection at Caister Castle is a must for enthusiasts The hot tub was a real treat. Thoroughly recommended."
Stuart - Jun 2022
"Lodge was lovely, could have been a bit cleaner. Site was nice and quiet but close to the beach which was ideal for us with dogs. Close to amenities and easy to go visit places. Site warden was very helpful and friendly."

Attractions Near The Hollies Kessingland

Here are some of the activities and experiences you can enjoy on your visit to The Hollies Kessingland. If you discover a worthy inclusion to this list on your hot tub break, please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too.
Africa Alive - NR33 7TF
about 1 Mile
Africa Alive is one of Suffolk's largest attractions and one of the most popular in the whole of the UK.  The Africa themed park is very unique and gives visitors the chance to see some amazing creatures in a habitat which is as close to nature as possible. The park can be explored by car and on foot and Hyenas and Giraffes are just some of the animals you will encounter as you make your way around the park. Watch out for the lightning fast Cheetahs and keep your eyes peeled to spot the more reclusive creatures. During a day at Africa Alive there will be plenty of shows and educational talks taking place and if the weather turns then the indoor Adventure Play Ground comes in very handy. The site also has a well stocked Gift Shop and a Discovery Centre.
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park - NR32 4TZ
about 4 Miles
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park is an amazing 50 acres area of stunning coastal parkland and is packed with family friendly rides and attractions. This park is an excellent choice for families with children of varied ages as there are a number of small rides for the little ones as well as some adrenaline boosting white knuckle rides for teenagers. As well as rides the site hosts some fantastic shows including the ever popular Sea Lion and Parrot encounters. At Halloween, Christmas and Easter other themed shows can also be enjoyed.  The site also has a good range of places to eat and drink whether you are looking to spend a leisurely hour relaxing with a meal or just grab a quick snack.
Bewilderwood - NR12 8JW
about 22 Miles
Bewilderwood is a fun day out for the whole family located in the Wroxham area of Norfolk.  This imaginative adventure park has won awards and we think kids especially will love the characters and the magical tree houses. You can even book your ticket online and beat the queues by visiting their website where you can also view video clips of the park. This place is also the setting for the book 'A Boggle at BeWILDerwood', by local children's author Tom Blofeld.  Parents are not left out either as you're encouraged to take part and play alongside your children.
Banham Zoo - NR16 2HE
about 29 Miles
This award winning wildlife attraction has much to offer both families and couples looking for a fun and educational day out.  You can discover a whole wild world of animals with over 1000 different animals from around the world. You will probably want to try and spend the whole day here so you don's miss out on anything.  Highlights include the amazing animals presentation, the birds of prey display and the feeding talks, all of which take place at set times of the day.  This attraction is fantastic value for money and highly recommended.  Their latest event is the Snow Leopard Club Naming Auction and there has recently been a baby giraffe born at the zoo.
Suffolk Owl Sanctuary - IP28 6HX
about 29 Miles
This amazing owl sanctuary located in the Stowmarket area of Suffolk should be high on your list of places to visit in the area.  The attraction is also a registered charity and carries out important work in the care & rehabilitation of owls from the region.  The sanctuary also raises awareness of owl conservation throughout the UK.  Between April and the end of September there are two superb flying displays each day so you should try and make your visit coincide with one of these displays if you can.
Dinosaur Adventure Park - NR9 5JW
about 31 Miles
This fun family day out has been well planned and we think is certainly worth a visit.  New for 2010 is the PrimEvil at Dinosaur Adventure.  Other fun activities include the Dinosaur Trail, Arachnophobia, the Raptor Races and the adventure play area.  The secret animal garden is also popular.  You can play a role in wildlife conservation and sponsor an animal if you wish.  At the moment if you sign up for their newsletter there is a chance to win a family ticket.
Melsop Farm Park - NR20 3DT
about 34 Miles
We love this attraction in Scoulton, Norfolk with a great collection of animals.  Children and adults alike have the chance to get hands on with the animals in the special handling areas.  On rainy days there is always the indoor play area for the little ones and when it's time for a bite to eat the cafe on the farm is open all day selling drinks and snacks.  Hot food is available over lunch times.
