The carp lake can be fished directly from the deck of the one-bed lodges that sit on top of it. Fish in the carp lake include mirror carp, common carp, roach, tench and pike.

Lawson Fishing Lodge at Brayton Park

Brayton Park is brimming with a history dating back to the Norman Conquests, and after being used as an airfield in WWII, the magnificent grounds have since been transformed into a luxurious retreat in the heart of Cumbria, surrounded by stunning views of the Lake District. This is the perfect location for relaxation and rejuvenation, with plenty of walks and outdoor activities available nearby.

Locate on the North Lake, the two-bed Lawson Lodge provides accommodation for up to four guests and features a private hot tub and a unique private hardwood jetty, allowing guests to fish right outside their front door. Guests can return home to light the wood burner and enjoy a cosy evening in with the modern self-catering facilities, or they can visit the highly-rated Lakeside Restaurant.

Nuddock Wood Lake and Fishing Lodges

These fishing lodges are perfect for angling enthusiasts. Featuring two bedrooms – one king-sized bed, one twin – a kitchen with mod-cons, living and dining space, and outdoor decking with a hot tub, all completed with a private swim allocated solely to the lodge.

The carp lake contains fish up to 45lbs across 13 swims – three of which are reserved for the use of luxury fishing lodges. On-site, the communal Anglers’ Lodge includes shower and toilet facilities for day visitors, a café, social space with a log burner, outdoor space with a BBQ, a TV showing Sky Sports, and a tackle shop selling baits and pellets.
