Dalby Forest is located within the North York Moors National Park of Scarborough, offering everything from a Go Ape centre to stargazing and mountain biking. Malton Grange Country Park, Amotherby
Just under 20 miles from the forest, rests Malton Grange Country Park.
With nearby attractions including the ‘Flamingo Land Resort’ and Castle Howard, these contemporary lodges are ideal for those wanting to keep busy.

A straightforward hour’s journey from Dalby and located within the lovely town of Harrogate, Wighill Manor is an ideal hot tub break for families wanting that ‘countryside escape’.
Previous customers suggest staying in the ‘Hawthorn Lodge’, which includes a master ensuite as well as a cosy twin.
Although pets aren’t allowed in this accommodation, there are plenty of chances to see some wildlife; whether this is walking alongside alpacas at the ‘Nidderdale Llamas’ attraction, or simply exploring the nature trails that Wighill has to offer!
If you did want a bit more buzz, then you’ll be glad to know that York is only 30 minutes away by car. Expect to see Georgian Town houses, a range of great independent shops, and of course- its iconic 13th- century Gothic Cathedral!
Falsgrave Leisure and Lodges, Scarborough

You’re also just 30 mins away from York which is a great place to take children or explore as a couple. Packed with history, culture and some mouthwatering restaurants. My family and I have visited many times and there’s always something exciting and new to see!
Grosmont Lodge is a good choice for couples with a modern living area, lake view and outdoor hot tub. The Newton Dale Lodge is excellent for families with three bedrooms and open-plan living – also with a lakeside view.
