Exploring Loch Ness
If you wish to explore further afield, then why not take part in a Full-Day Loch Ness, Whiskey, and Outlander Tour. Starting in Inverness, you can journey to Loch Ness and join a cruise to the ruins of the 13th century Urquhart Castle, before exploring Beauty Priory, which was used in the filming of Outlander.
Take in a Whiskey Tour
You can also join an optional tour at the Highland whisky distillery, learning all about whisky production and perhaps even sample some.

Another way to see the spectacular views on offer in the area would be to book a trip on the Hogwarts Express and the Scenic Highlands Day Tour from Inverness. The steam train is the perfect way to see the Highland scenery as it travels all the way around Loch Ness and along the West Coast. Made famous by the Harry Potter films, this has been voted one of the world’s most scenic railways and is a must-do whilst you are in the area.
