"The lodge was brilliant, clean and very well equiped and had great views of Lake Windermere from the surrounding decking. The lodge has sufficient parking for multiple cars if needed. And room to store water sports equipment should you bring it for use on the lake. The only thing we had a small issue with was the flooring in the kitchen has become loose and sections of it were able to slide out of place, which is a slip hazard. We would highly recommend the Harrop Lodge."

"Our lodge the Harrop Lodge, was lovely overall. The bed could have been better, it wasn't awful but it wasn't a luxury mattress with a topper either.My biggest issue was that, although the lodge had great views of Lake Windermere and had a huge terrace. There was no outdoor furniture. I did ask in person twice and by chat once but it seems they didn't have any!! Poor show, and when I complained it went on deaf ears, with no email address available to push it further."

"We had a great few days away at White Cross Bay. Conveniently situated. The bus stop just outside the park is great too. The Windermere Lodge had everything we needed. I think it could do with a deep clean as the chairs in the lounge were looking a bit worse for wear. Also the lodge is quite close yo the main road and right next to the play area which was ok at thus time of year but could be a problem in school holidays. Overall though a great park conveniently located to lots lovely lake district walks."

"Caravan was a nice space for what we paid for, was happy with what we had- TV signal very poor but when in the lakes we know its not guaranteed. No wifi in caravan or phone signal but same again know its not guaranteed. Some cobwebs etc around caravan and a large stain on mattress, apart from those everything else was clean."

"When we booked this lodge, we initially thought it would have a hot tub because the advert mentioned certain accommodations. Turns out, Brathay Lodge at White Cross Bay doesnt come with one, which was a bit confusing. We spoke to staff upon arrivaland it turns out this mix-up has been happening quite a lot over the past few weeks, mainly because a private owner also calls his lodge Brathay Lodge. When searching online, most pictures are of HIS lodge, not ours. That said, once we got past that initial bump, we settled in quite nicely. Our lodge was pretty cosy, although there was a slight draft coming through the main doors, but the full central heating kept everything warm. The kitchen was well equipped, with a cooker, grill, fan oven, fridge freezerand dishwasher - just remember to bring your own cleaning stuff like washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets. The dining table, pots, pans, cutleryand crockery were all there, making it easy to settle in. Overall, we had a lovely stay once we sorted out the misunderstanding. The staff were really friendly and helpful, which made a big difference. Wed definitely come back again, despite the small confusion at first!"
