"Booked a last minute 4 day break with our dog. We had a couple of issues with the hot tub and door lock but these were solved within minutes. Could not believe how fast the response was....well impressed. The lodge was very comfortable. We stayed at 32 Fairways. We did feel a bit overlooked being in the central location of the fairways with cabins all around us. However it did not spoil our stay it's just that we prefer a little more privacy. The whole site and grounds are very well maintained. We ordered take away from the hub which arrived on time and was piping hot. The shop on site had a poor selection and was expensive so apart from a few essentials we shopped elsewhere. The pool and spa were clean and well equipped. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and welcoming. We would have no hesitation in booking again."

"Lodge was lovely and we really liked the open plan and both rooms were a good size. Lodge is in need of some little repairs such as the film peeling off cupboards, marks around and some badic utensils missing.We ended up buying a mop as house keeping couldn't provide one and having dogs with wet paws, made the floor slippy for our 15 month old. Decking area was large and provided a good space for our son to move around on his bike. Hot tub was lovely, although could only be controlled from the main control on the side rather than the buttons at the top, which meant hanging over the side to sort it out"

"I only gave 3 stars because the caravan I stayed in was very dirty, a lot of dust, the linens on the bed were dirty, but otherwise it was very good, for this reason I don't think I will ever return to this park"

"Mobile home had a few issues which I reported within two hours of our arrival and were mostly dealt with promptly and efficiently by the lovely staff. However the mobile home really lacked some basic things. We booked as a family of six in a three bedded home. On arrival we noticed that the home wasn't adequately cleaned and had spiders and cobwebs in most rooms, there were only four cups for six of us, bathroom blind was broken, one of the bedroom doors didn't close and lightbulbs were out. Nothing major just a bit frustrating. However what was very annoying was that the ev charging points are all out of order and have been apparently for many months. It would have been really helpful to contact visitors and pre warn or at least not state on your website that there is ev car charging when there isn't.Staff all great, very responsive, site very pretty and well looked after just a shame our mobile home was tired and not fully cleaned or maintained."

"The lodge was lovely, in a really nice location with a stunning view. The hot tub was well maintained and easy to use. The bedrooms were a good size and felt very luxurious after staying in a much smaller caravan last year! The only issue was that some kitchen equipment was missing but once I reported it, it was supplied within a few hours. I love that the decking is always secure at Finlake so our dog (and also our crawling baby this year!) can go in and out as they like if its warm enough to have the doors open."

"The sof cushions had not been cleaned underneath, the sofas had dog chews and rubbish underneath. Tin opener was broken. Sweet wrappers down side of bed. Rest of van lovely"

"A lovely lodge. My only irritation was that there was no curtain at the front door. This wasnt very private as the lodge next door could see straight into our lodge. Not great when you want to relax in your pjs every evening. Apart from that it had every amenity and was a lovely cosy lodge."

"Lodge was very nice but could do with upholstery & carpets being cleaned/washed. The beds were very comfortable & bedding & towels very clean."

"There were several niggly things that were a bit disappointing with the accommodation. There was an overwhelming stench of dog in the lodge, especially in the bedroom, the bed especially. The cleaning was done very quickly so at first glance it looked clean but actually the duvet had blood stains on it, the sofa creases were full of bits and pieces including food and the hot tub cover was so dirty it made you think twice about getting inside it. The microwave and the washing machine were both broken but someone did come out immediately to fix the washing machine. Microwave wasnt fixable but you could work around it. The lodge was actually decorated nicely and had sweet little touches, it has potential to be lovely"

"Lodge was not deluxe! It was tatty and very dated! Very dirty and unclean! Stank if wet dog and took 2 hours of deep cleaning by ourselves to be able to stay first night we got no sleep and child was up poorly and still is due to dust mite allergy and this place being thick with dust and dirt! You could not relax and enjoy the accommodation as every where you looked you saw more dirt and filth even after us deep cleaning for 2 hours.Missing draw in freezer only 1 shelf in oven, blocked shower drain, thick cob webs every where inside and out Would advise you dont go unless prepared to deep clean and did x loads of cleaning products and air fresheners"

"Great site so clean and well maintained. Great facilities especially the swimming pools. Good location for days out to the coast and dartmoor. Lovely surroundings for walks with the dog. Would definitely return."

"Our holiday was great. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful and the activities staff were super engaging and genuinely looked like they were enjoying themselves as much as we were. The only negatives I would mention (and they are minor), there weren’t many paths along the roads of the site so although walking on the grass and moving out the way of cars wasn’t a problem for us, those with younger children, buggies or wheelchairs may not find this acceptable. The walk to the stables being an example. The only other downside was the lack of evening entertainment or things for teens to do once the paid activities were over and the swimming pools had closed. There were 2 pool tables in the bar but that was it so if you haven’t come prepared with anything to do and aren’t planning on spending the evening off site there is very little for them to do. Other than that we had a fabulous week and will definitely be returning for a cheeky adults only weekend."

"A lovely stay - lodges perfectly kitted out. Kids loved the pools and exploring - such a large yet quiet site. Super Staff helpful, calm and over the top with politeness. The only suggestion I would make is for a flat reasonable space for playing football which stays open while it is light say 9pm for older kids or teenagers."

"Finlake never disappoints. Not been since all the new spa/pool etc added. Still lovely setting and with private lodges. The food at The Hub & The Retreat was faultless! Great to have eat in or takeaway options! Shop was well stocked (and even a huge variety of gins to choose from! The only downside was that our lodge was very basic and not cleaned particularly well before we arrived. Could have done with some selves in the bathrooms to keep all our toiletries on. Hot tub was not in good working order either. Lovely & warm but jets didn’t work. Overall, we’d definitely be back!"
