"The charging point to our accommodation wasnt working so we were told we had to charge up the car at another accommodation. Not ideal. The shower would run hot and cold whilst in use. The hot tub doesnt bubble (first world problems) but it was just like sitting in a bath. Food was expensive for what it was - I ordered a takeaway and it was overcooked, stone cold and not as advertised. I asked the waiter how many chicken wings were in a regular portion and he told me fivethere were three."

"Had a wonderful time at our lodge which was clean and bright and airy. Two bedrooms were en-suite so no battles for the loo or shower, and an extra bathroom for the kids. It had a dishwasher, a washing machine and lots of storage space for our clothes and storage as soon as we walked in for coats and shoes. We had patio doors and a little balcony, the only thing I wish I'd booked was the lodge with the hot tub as we could see and hear lots of families enjoying thiers throughout the day and evening. The facilities on site were great and lots to do for children with young families. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay both while relaxing and lounging about in the lodge, spending family time together, or while out and about forest walking - and there were plenty of those in this beautiful location. We encountered wild ponies and spotted dear from afar on our forest walks. You could get close enough to touch the ponies, but were warned by locals not to pet or feed them. On site facilities were great and we went swimming, tried the sauna and even tried archery although we missed the alpaca walks, and I feel that this is a great place for families with young kids as they had soft play and tiny tots hour for swimming. Only downside was that the jacuzzi was broken down and not repaired in time to use. There was a little shop - a mini supermarket on site so very helpful if you needed bread or milk etc but it had so much more - a coffee shop and even stocked things like some board games and cards etc to keep you busy (just in case you'd forgotten your own). There was a little arcade for the kids to spend some coins and earn tokens and lovely restaurants to eat put although we did our own cooking. Felt thoroughly relaxed and grounded on our return home, we loved our stay and wished we could live there ????"

"Plenty of room. Comfortable proper beds. TVs in all the rooms. And when one of them didn't work, we contacted reception and a really helpful and cheerful handyman came over and sorted the problem straight away, whilst dealing with questions from a chatty 6 year old and a nosey Labrador"

"Esme was really nicely decorated and had a good layout. It was a little dirty in places (stains on carpet, strong smells and marks of mould on the curtains) but overall we loved the decor, location and had a great holiday!"

"The cooker is not big enough or powerful enough to be able to cook for 10 people. An electric cooker would be more efficient. Also the shelves inside we thought werent big enough but they are expandible but the dint stay expanded si when you try and get foid out of oven the shelves collapse. This is very dangerous"

"Sofa bed didnt pull out so we had to sleep on a mattress on the floor. Dog hair everywhere, strong smell of dog. Not clean and not up to scratch given the cost"

"Our accommodation was good, a little rough around the edges - e.g. main bedroom radiator had a loose metal bit, shower door was off the wheels and didn't feel secure, but everything was clean. The double bed was comfortable enough but the other beds were not comfortable. There was also a lack of hanging space, especially for wet towels (e.g. no hooks in bedrooms and bathrooms). The kitchen could have done with some oven gloves, a bigger toaster and basic amenities like salt and pepper and oil.But generally it was a good trip and when we had an issue with a broken corkscrew, a new one was brought over quickly."

"Waste of money. Had several issues. Boiler kept clicking out and coming up with fault codes resulting in no hot water.Cooker faulty. Didn't recognise saucepans in it. So couldn't use.Long curtain at door. Hanging offWoodling crescent. 112 As a regular customer. I am very disappointed to have wasted money will not return."

"Not the best we have ever had. rather tired furniture. fault with toilet was reported and fixed and also immediately failed again. Maintenance came a second time, but again fault came back. Still not working when we left.the pub restaurant was closed during our stay and the other restaurant all pasta and pizza - and fully booked anyway first night, so we had to drive off site for meals. Takeaways not delivered to site."

"A nice break but disappointing as we were hoping for nice meals out in the evenings and this wasn't an option. The food was very basic and there was no atmosphere at all in the restaurant."

"This was wonderful accommodation. Very spacious and had everything we needed. Still cannot believe there were 3 tv's! Lounge area TV was massive. Nice to have those extras of a dishwasher too. The bath in the main bedroom was quite a treat along with a glass of prosecco! Very welcoming with tea, coffee, milk, squash and some yummy chocolates, just what was needed after travelling :-)"

"We had a truly wonderful time at Sandy Balls and the New Forest. Our lodge was lovely and clean, beds comfortable and the doggy welcome pack was a lovely thought. Lovely site , deep in the woods, gave a relaxing start to every day. I would definitely go back there. Staff in the shop were lovely."

"This was my second visit because I loved it so much the first time. Stayed in a cabin this time. Slightly disappointed that there was no WiFi, considering the price but otherwise lovely.
The site, facilities and staff (apart from one who was very unpleasant) are all excellent. However, I have Coeliac disease and although there is an acceptable gluten free menu, there is a misconception (not just by yourselves) that gluten free = vegan or vegetarian. We are neither! We eat all meats, eggs, cheeses etc, it is just conventional grains mostly that we have a problem with, so don't need vile vegan cheese included in our options. Vegan and Vegetarian are a lifestyle choice. Coeliac disease is an illness that can cause bowel cancer or worse. so we would like the same choice as others. It really isn't that hard nowadays!"

"The campsite is great. The children loved the activities, they did Archery Laser air rifle and walking the Alpaca's. We swam everyday and the pool was great. It was a bit difficult booking the outdoor pool and it was fully booked by the time we worked it out! The lodge we stayed in was very comfortable. Although more than one baking tray would have been good and sharper kitchen knives.
The staff were fantastic from the restaurant, welcome staff to the rangers they could not be more helpful, they made the experience."
