"New favourite lodge location. Weve been looking for somewhere bougie to take the doggos and have never found the right place until now. Not even kidding when we say we didnt want to come home! ???? STUNNING location, beautifully maintained with thoughtful extra details that make all the difference. The only super minor inconvenience was that we didnt have any scissors, which thinking may have just been an oversight. Already planning on when to go back, so so pleased we found this place!"

"A lovely peaceful area, the lodges are situated around a lake and look out over it. They are very well-appointed inside, and looking out over the lake from the front room is very relaxing, either in the morning or at night. The resident black swans were very friendly. The lodge was very dog friendly, and the complimentary gifts of wine, local eggs, cake and biscuits were very much appreciated. I intend to come and stay again."

"Had a lovely weekend in the Muntjak lodge. We didn't have the best weather but the lodge was lovely and it was so peaceful with the views over the lake. The walk to the lodge from the car was not too long and the trolley was a nice touch so as not to have to do multiple trips to the car but it was difficult to drag across the gravel paths.The welcome hamper for both ourselves and the dog was a nice touch and she loved them. We did struggle with the dog proofing around the property as she is only a small dog so could fit underneath the lowest wire so we needed to keep her on her lead when on the decking areas.Otherwise we had a lovely time and will definitely be back."

"The accommodation was immaculate, and would have been almost perfect except for the dog proofing on the terrace.We have a Chihuahua and a French Bulldog. The dog proofing was fine for the frenchie, however unfortunately was not good enough to stop the Chihuahua from escaping, fortunately he was quickly caught. He is large for a Chihuahua, and so I feel that many small dogs would be able to escape. This meant that in order to let him out on the terrace we had to put on his lead and harness, which was not ideal. Also this lodge went into the shade much more quickly than the other lodges, meaning time in the sunlight was limited. These are the reasons for the average score for facilities"

"We have been to lots of lodges and this beats them all! Beautiful surroundings with swans and a lovely field to walk your dog in. Theyve been really clever and made almost avenues with trees so it felt like you were in a park, not a field. The lodge itself is beautifully designed with stylish but comfortable furniture. The kitchen has everything from a ninja air fryer to a nutribullet! Everything was so clean too. On the last day we saw the hot tub man empty and literally hoover out the hot tub. This gives so much reassurance for the cleanliness of it. The decking is fab and we made full use of it. Welcome packs for humans and dogs were fantastic. You can get Deliveroo etc delivered easily as well. And one more thing - the people are amazing. We had a family issue completely unrelated to the lodge and they bent over backwards to help us. We really appreciated it. Im definitely booking for next year!"

It had everything we needed for a home away from home escape and it is dog friendly so our pooch had a fab time too. It was a very relaxing break and good base to explore the area and have a day trip up to Lincoln as well."

"Had the most wonderful time in a stunning lodge. A welcome hamper on arrival was a lovely touch. The surroundings and hot tub everything was perfect. The only small downside is there wasnt a bbq or washer/dryer as advertised. Not a great deal but when youve brought bbq food deliberately and we were muddy after a long walk they would have been helpful. Loved the black swans!"

"The lodge is ment to be high spec which it is but somethings are pointless the washing machine dishwasher and wine cooler but then theres just a small fridge with just a cool box freezer I prefer to hand wash dishes and theres not much when theres only 2 of u your there Monday-Friday or Friday-Monday a washing machine isnt really needed the finish on the stairs I noticed isnt really finished to a high spec with cracks etc through out. Bathroom is lovely but the shower sprays everywhere and makes the floors super slippery same with outside the hottub steps move and slip over the decking so be careful getting in and out"
