"Our specific lodge was brilliant - accessible with a ramp to the lodge and a wet room. Although neither of us are wheelchair users so may have been other difficulties for actual chair users such as not being able to use the hot tub and maybe the space between bed and table. Otherwise very high tech and lovely equipment from pans and knives to lighting and comfortable bed."

"Lovely quiet retreat. Currently just two pods but preparations for 4 in total.The pods are fresh and modern and large enough for a comfortable stay. All modern amenities including two TVs, WiFi, Bluetooth sound etc.Each pod is carefully shielded from the other pod(s) so you feel secluded. The hot tub was perfect, clean and a great size.You are somewhat remote and is a 15 walk to the local pub / restaurant (The Angel) which I can also highly recommend. Don't forget to take a torch though for the dark walk home if you choose to do so.A short drive will take you to Southwold which is a real gem of a seaside town.Our host Melanie, was very welcoming. Overall a perfect stay, 5 stars from us!"

"Great cabin for a family. Loved the hot tub and Mediterranean decor outside with bbq and fire pit. Parking very convenient and location very quiet with wildlife (although beware the 3:30am cockerel!). Remember to check childrens height - the Robin cabin advertises 5ft bunk beds but stupidly it didnt occur to me that it means probably ages 10&under. Easy quick access to Southwold too. Good amenities. Not much living space so if its wet weather or you have very active toddlers, you may want more of a house type rental. Lovely helpful host"

"Spotlessly clean lodge and site. Lots of thought gone into the lodges from the shoe rack and hooks / outside seating areas / wood for log burner/milk/processo and biscuits /airer and washing line. Really friendly owners. Keep your eye out for the woodpecker which visited the cherry tree if you in Robin was just lovely to see. Good bus service into Southwold and local pub within easy walking distance."

"Lovely little cabin with well thought out interior. Super clean and everything you could want/ need. Highlight was obviously the hot tub which was amazing and clean and private. Loads of lovely little touches and info provided by host to make your stay extra special. Our family of 5 loved it!"

Charming half-timbered cottage with a great strong shower, cosy kitchen & living room combination and very comfortable bed. Fantastic parking directly next to the rented cottage. Great walks across the fields to the local village of Thaxted and of course within easy travelling distance of the village, replete with half-timbered houses and windmill. "

Goddard's Mead has everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay. The location is in a great area of Essex and would recommend taking the time to wander around Thaxted and other villages/towns nearby to discover it's fascinating history & buildings. "

"Such a lovely place to stay in a really beautiful, private location. The owners were really friendly and helpful, nearby if needed but without breaking that sense of privacy. The hot tub was perfect after a day of cycling! One thing to be aware of, the cottage is right under Stansted's flight path, and so there's a lot of aircraft noise. It only took us a couple of hours to get used to it and it didn't spoil our holiday at all, but something to be aware of if you're sensitive to noise. "

"The lovely cottage is situated on a working farm, but is very private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are delightful. The cottage is very spacious with good equipment in the kitchen and the bathroom. The bed is really comfortable. The garden is secluded; dog proof and with good furniture. There are numerous walks around. Thaxted has good restaurants. We liked The Star and The Maypole. The Swan and the Indian are not bad either. We thoroughly recommend this place. "

The accommodation had everything we needed and was clean, comfortable and secure for our dog Archie. The location was ideal too with plenty of walks to find and Thaxted and surrounding villages are lovely places to visit. We felt our batteries had certainly been recharged during our week and we enjoyed our relaxing break! "

"Stayed here for a week from 15 to 22 July with our 2 mini daschund girls who thoroughly enjoyed there stay making new friends in the village of thaxted. The cottage is lovely especially the hot tub a bonus as it was the hottest days of the year so the water was coolled so it was more refreshing the hosts were very welcoming was nice to see there horses being taken to the fields each day you are on the flight path near stansted but I enjoyed watching the planes come in would definitely recommend "
