"Lovely environment with friendly wildlife"

"Like before, the lodge was really nice and had everything we needed. One small thing I would not necessarily complain about but pick at is the lack of toilet rolls. There was 4 of us who went so 2 between four was a slight push. Apart from this we really enjoyed the hot tub, and the other facilities were really good."

"Gorgeous lodge, hot tub was fantastic. Some furniture had seen better days but everything else was lovely, clean and in working order.Washing machine, dishwasher, oven/grill, fridge/freezer, toaster and microwave all provided.Heating was a bit random in terms of the schedule but lodge kept the heat in, so lovely and cosy."

"Well equipped cabin, everything was there for our stay, hot tub wasnt working correctly lovely , and having the decking was fabulous knowing our dog was secure , staff very welcoming and friendly. Would highly recommend. And would love to return for another visit ."

"Arrived on Friday at 5pm and we were told that the hot tub wouldn't be ready for a couple of hours which was fine and we were aware this might happen. We checked the tub at 9pm at which point it was still cold (32.5 degrees) so messaged the out of hours number to be told that they cannot guarantee the water will be upto temp which we have been told at a number off different places we have stayed but this was the first time it hasn't been warm enough on the first night. Checked the temp in the morning 36.6 so barley usable for the kids who went in for about 15 mins and got out saying it was cold. Again complained and the manager came and said that the temperature had been checked that morning at it was correct which clearly it wasn't. Eventually at 2pm on Saturday Callum came to check the temp and explained that they now run on heat source air pumps which clearly cant heat the water as it should be. If i had have known this when we booked id have gone elsewhere. So the hot tub was unusable for 50% off the break.The lodge itself was ok but the pans need replacing as they were scratched and rusty with handles missing from lids and there were cobwebs everywhere. Management must be cutting back on the use off vacuums to pay for the inadequate heat pumps.The manager offered a 'deal' on a return visit but i wouldn't waste my time or money which is a shame as the surroundings are excellent."

"We purposely book this lodge as we like the location, tucked out of the way. 2 double rooms and one twin which is exactly what we want for our party. Kitchen is well equipped. Hot tub recently replaced.Only improvement would be some fencing around the hot tub for added privacy"

"As per main comments, some of the soft furnishings, particularly the sofas are past their best and require renewal. Both bathrooms flooring could do with replacement and some remedial work to address blackened silicone sealant etc. is required. The lodge is still nice but starting to look slightly tired in places. Not a big task to get it to an excellent standard once again."

"This has to be the best lodge I have ever stayed in, it was absolutely perfect from parking to leaving, the lodge itself was a home away from it had everything you needed to cook and enjoy, the hot tub was clean hot and views to die for, the staff checking in was so helpful and kind and had a really good chat about things near by, this was for a girls weekend but I will definitely be back with my family for another stay ???? thank you so much because we hadn't booked here but our accommodation was cancelled 5 hours before check in and cedar retreats jumped in and saved the day and I'm so glad they did, so thank you to everyone at cedar retreats you've truly spoilt us ????"

"Overall the lodge was lovely. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you might need.The hot tub was an amazing addition to our lodge and was used daily throughout our trip.The cleanliness wasn't too bad just a few cobwebs around but a previous guests bathing suit was found in the bathroom on arrival, which raised concerns if the bathroom has been cleaned properly."

"Its very central to visit many places, Leyburn, Thirsk, Arboretum , Knaresborough to name just a few. The local pub The Bruce serves quality food and the atmosphere is great. The hot tub was very nice and private and I think was the highlight of the stay to relax after a day shopping or sightseeing."

"Daleside Lodge has everything you need. Comfortable furniture, spacious rooms all utensils and is very clean and tidy.Parking was for two cars with ours, and you could actually fit two cars (unlike some places).Plenty of space between lodges so you don't feel hemmed in.Overall, perfect."

"Possibly the best lodge we have been too. It was absolutely immaculate and very spacious. The views over the lake are beautiful and the hot tub is large and is checked every day. Staff were friendly and the location is perfect for families. There’s so much to do within a 10 minute drive. We had a fantastic holiday and will definitely be back."
