About Golden Oak Hideaway at Glentress Forest

The Golden Oak Hideaway cabins sit in the heart of Delamere Forest, Cheshire. Built specifically for couples, these luxury timber lodges nail what matters for a romantic break.

The open-plan design sleeps two and includes a freestanding bath with forest views. Yes, you can literally soak while watching the trees!

Your private outdoor hot tub waits on the decking, alongside a double cocoon egg chair that's surprisingly comfortable. Perfect for morning coffee or evening wines together.

The log-burning stove transforms chilly evenings into something rather special. Kitchens come fully integrated with oven, microwave and Nespresso Vertuo machine.

Large shower, luxury toiletries, gas BBQ ... they've thought of everything that actually matters for a grown-up escape.

We recommend getting up early one morning to catch the forest mist as it's quiet, atmospheric and worth the alarm!

Delamere Forest itself offers brilliant biking and walking trails right from your doorstep. No need to drive anywhere if you don't fancy it.

Nearby attractions include Chester Zoo (30 mins), Liverpool ONE (35 mins), Beeston Castle (25 mins) and Ness Botanic Gardens (30 mins).

If you're after somewhere that delivers genuine privacy with actual luxury rather than just claiming it, book this. These cabins are consistently full weeks ahead so secure your dates while they're still available.

Here are some of the activities and experiences you can enjoy on your visit to Golden Oak Hideaway at Glentress Forest. If you discover a worthy inclusion to this list on your hot tub break, please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too.
Kailzie Gardens - EH45 9HT
about 1 Mile
Kailzie Gardens are another popular attraction and are an excellent place for a day out in the summertime. The gardens are a peaceful and colourful place to spend the day with a wide variety of flora and fauna on display. Other attractions here include live viewing of the Tweed Valley ospreys, a Gift Shop where children can pick up a souvenir, a Tearoom serving tasty local produce and home cooked meals, a Children's Corner, Putting Green, and a gorgeous private 2½ mile stretch on the River Tweed where visitors can enjoy Fly Fishing and a Picnic Area.
Smoo Cave - IV27 4QB
about 22 Miles
Smoo Cave is a popular attraction which can be enjoyed all year round but visitors should wrap up warm during the winter months.  This spectacular limestone sea-cave in Sutherland is the largest in Britain and is simply spectacular. The cave was formed by a burn that runs down into the rear chamber, as well as erosion caused by the sea. Guests can take the path from the car park which runs right through the cave. Boat trips are available in the summer months and are an excellent way to fully appreciate the cave from all angles.
M&D's Scotland's Theme Park - ML1 3RT
about 36 Miles
M&D's, Scotland's Family Theme Park is a "must do" day out if you are in the Strathclyde region. The fun attraction is set within 20 acres of beautiful Country Park and offers rides, shows and activities for the whole family to enjoy. Besides the outdoor rides the site is also home to Amazonia - Scotland's only indoor Tropical Rainforest where visitors can meet loads of exotic animals. There is also a large indoor soft play area and an amazing glow in the dark bowling alley, so plenty to do if the weather is bad. During December Scotland's largest Grotto with animated Christmas scenes can also be enjoyed.
