The Eden Project

The Eden Project is a fantastic local attraction in
Cornwall which will appeal to families and couples. From the moment you step through the entrance it's clear that this is no ordinary attraction. All under one roof you will find a giant rainforest, Horticulture courses, rock climbing, ice skating and an arts cafe. Not all of these activities are on at one time, they are staggered throughout the year so check out the website to see what's available when you plan to visit. Autumn at Eden is very popular with events such as daily apple pressing and Time Changing Tales (story telling with an autumn theme).
Springfields Fun Park & Pony Centre

Springfields Fun Park & Pony Centre offers a day full of action and adventure for all the family come rain or shine. If the weather is good then children can take advantage of the vast open space to run around and play, enjoy pony rides, train rides, trampolines and Go-Karts and explore the nature trails. If the weather is not on your side then the huge play barn is the place to head and as climbing frames, slides, ball pool and rope swings as well as a baby and toddler area.
Dairyland Farm World

Open from end March to end October this is a lovely attraction suited to families with kids of all ages. You don't need to worry about the weather either as this is an all weather attraction with the addition of soft play areas and a ball pool for the little ones. Some of the highlights include the Bull Pen indoor play area, the Raging Bulls Ride, Pat-aPet and the Mini tractors. Of course there is also the opportunity to get up close to the farm animals and try some bottle feeding.
Lost Gardens of Heligan

The amazing Lost Gardens of Heligan are one of Cornwall's most popular attractions and offers arrange of activities for adults and children. Newquay Zoo

The award winning Newquay Zoo makes a fun family day out in North Cornwall. With over 130 different species of animals to see and plenty of fun activities for the kids this attraction is ideal. Recent additions to the zoo include the African Savanna and the Madagascan Walkthrough exhibit. Kids will love the play area, face painting, tarzan trail and animal encounters. Different events tale place throughout the year such as the Halloween Zoo Boo family fun event on 31st October.
Tintagel Castle

Tintagel Castle is one of the most iconic landmarks in Cornwall and is an excellent place for a family day out. Situated on the stunning Cornish Coast the Castle has a mystical and magical presence and is steeped in historical importance. Indeed the Legend of King Arthur was born right here. The Castle and grounds also provide a home for many species of wildlife as well as some amazing flora and fauna. The site also has a small visitor's centre with souvenir shop and a wonderful Beach Café.
The Monkey Sanctuary

This attraction is really unique in that you have the opportunity to gain a rare insight into a working sanctuary. You can see first hand all of the fantastic work carried out as well as seeing the monkeys themselves. Other popular areas of this attraction include the Bat Cave and Wildlife Room. the Wildlife Gardens and the kids play area. There is something for everyone at The Monkey Sanctuary and you can also sponsor and donate if you wish. The cost to adopt a monkey is from just £2 a month.
Adrenaline Quarry

Adrenaline Quarry is the place to head for adults and teenagers and children looking for adrenaline boosting activities. The site boasts the largest and longest Zip wire in the country. Other activities available include Go Karting and the thrilling Coaststeering - Climbing cliffs and jumping in to the sea! All ages and skill levels are catered for and safety is top priority. Zip Wire rides start from £12.50 While Coaststeering costs £30.00.
Trethorne Leisure Park

Trethrone Leisure Park in Cornwall is a popular choice for a family day out and offers an excellent programme of activities for children all year round. The site has a wonderful Café serving home cooked meals, a fun Soft Play Area for younger children, an Agility Course for older kids and several Nature Trails for the family to explore together. The site also displays working and static exhibits of Steam Engines as well as old Fairground Rides so is educational as well as fun!

A fantastic attraction with something for everyone. Combining rides, activities and exhibitions it's all here in the one place. Look out for seasonal events too such as the Fire in the Sky event on 27th October 2010 - discount advance tickets are available for most of the events so don't forget to check out their website. Some of the most popular thrill rides include the first Twisting Droptower in the UK called the Skyraker 001. The Hornert Rollercoaster is also not to be missed.
Paradise Park

Paradise Park first opened its doors in Cornwall in 1973 and has been one of the regions top attractions ever since. What was once just a tropical bird garden is now a refuge for many different species of animal and aims to be educational as well as fun for its visitors. The inhabitants include some typical UK creatures including Otters, and Red Squirrels as well as some more unusual and rare animals including Red Pandas. Younger children will enjoy meeting the friendly animals in the farm area. The site has recently been extended and now also has a fantastic Jungle Barn where kids can let of steam.
