"Perfect break with our dog. Onside facilities good for if you are like us and take your dog away on holiday with you.Car parking next to Lodge, Lodge area well lit up at night. With walks on your doorstep.Facilities inside all clean, kitchen had all you needed to cook breakfast or dinner if you wanted to. Bathroom very modern with a double shower over bath and light up vanity mirror!! Bedroom builtin wardrobes with floor to ceiling mirror and the bed was comfy. Storage facilities good for shoes and coats etc, they supplied everything you needed to keep the lodge clean if like us you walk in all weather's! Muddy boots are always a risk ! The lodge had a, modern heating system so always warm 24/7 which was easy to set to temp required. Our lodge was not over looked which was perfect to be able to sit on outside with table abd chairs provided. We loved the peaceful outlook although this is a large site with over 100 lodges you would never guess thos. The insight shop supplied lots of nice goods and was open untill 1930. The restaurant you could just have a drink inside or out we didn't have a meal but the food looked delicious. Looked like plenty to do if you have children, we just enjoyed the surroundings and walks. Onsite staff very helpful. We will return."

"The lodge is modern bright clean and well equipped in a perfect location in the park .It was in a totally private spot and we enjoyed the antics of the visiting squirrels one of whom practically knocked on the door not to mention the birdsong which was spectacular. The undercover hot tub was brilliant even used it in the rain !"

"As per my previous comment this accommodation is not value for money you are paying for the park facilities. The lodge is very basic, second shower is useless, the kitchen is so basic you can't cook in it, the heating cannot be controlled so we were freezing one minute boiling the next and hot tub was too cold, a lot of it seemed to be cost saving but it took the enjoyment out of the lodge for us."

"We stayed in a lodge over half term. The lodge was exceptionally clean with nice linen and fluffy towels. The kitchen was well appointed. Oven immaculate! There is a small pack of washing up liquid and a cloth/sponge and dishwasher tablets which was handy.The lodges felt slightly dated as they had a CD player and radio alarm clock etc so maybe an upgrade to a Bluetooth speaker etc would be good, also USB plugs would be a good addition. The TV was quite small but easy enough to work out how to connect to stream to etc."

This unique attraction combines an array of activities. If you have a look on their website there are some good video clips which give an even better idea of what this attraction is all about. Some of the highlights include the Cable Car system which is actually Britain's first alpine style cable car system. You are transported from the valley floor right up above where you can enjoy superb Dewent Valley Views. You can also stroll around 60 acres of wooded hillside on foot to see an array of birds and wildlife.

Gulliver's Kingdome - WA5 9YZ

Gulliver's Kingdome is a family friendly theme park offering many attractions for children of all ages. The site is rather unique and features a huge array of rides including log flumes, roller coasters and pirate ships. For the little ones there are rides such as the veteran cars and the balloon wheel and Diego and Dora the Explorer are on hand to make sure they are having a great time. Between the 21st and 31st of October the park becomes a spooky Halloween spectacular with a range of shows and fireworks to enjoy. Standard prices are £12.00 for adults and children over 90cm. Crazy Crocodiles Indoor Play & Party Centre - LL30 1DR

This is an all weather attraction located in Ilkeston Derbyshire. With a large play frame as well as bikes and ride on toys this is a fun place for young children. The toddler time sessions take place during term times on week days from 9.30am until 2.30pm and are very popular. The admission fee is excellent value for money and parents can sit down and enjoy a drink while the children play. A new baby changing facility has now been installed together with some new chairs making this a clean and welcoming attraction for families. Rosliston Forestry Centre is a beautiful woodland site with tranquil areas for Fishing as well as some beautiful meadows and a lake. The site is also an excellent place for Walking, Cycling and Horse Riding. Other available events taking place this year include an Archery drop in session, a Christmas Crafting Afternoon and a Mince Pie and Mulled Wine Walk.

British Wildlife Rescue Centre - TN8 7AR

This is a really unique opportunity to see the fantastic work going on at this centre. The purpose of the British Wildlife Rescue Centre is to treat and care for injured wildlife which cannot be released into the wild. Many of the animals are brought to the centre by members of the public or the RSPCA.
