Redbrick Woodland Lodges Reviews

"Clean, modern and everything required."
Stuart - Mar 2025
"We had a lovely weekend at Redbrick lodges in the Moshannon lodge. The hot tub was really nice and we felt so relaxed while we was there. The parkManager always got back to me quickly if we had any queries. Was lovely and peaceful. Like that there weee plenty of dishwasher tablets, clothes and sponges to wash pots if needed. There wasnt any oven gloves but we improvised with a towel we brought. WiFi worked well to say there was 4 of us using it and there was Netflix on the tv. Lodge was also lovely and warm. Would definitely go back :)"
Kayleigh - Feb 2025
"Lodge was amazing, big decking area and hot tub. Was provided with everything and very clean. Comfy beds, quiet setting and will definitely be returning"
Tracey - Feb 2025
"Really relaxing and the lodge and location were perfect. It snowed as well which made the weekend even more magical."
Emma - Jan 2025
"Our Redbrick Woodland Lodges review: We all slept extremely well."
Sally - Dec 2024
"Beds too low, upstairs rooms , no sound proofing, like been in caravan with pigeons on the roof , lodge parking, but random persons fishing parking in lodges spaces , gated area , but gates always open , so not very safe, open to public 24hours, no staff on site, other than hot tub guy who came around 9.30 am wouldnt recommend sorry!!!!!"
Judith - Nov 2024
"Perfect. Will be booking it again"
Chris - Nov 2024
"Weve just returned from a 7 night stay in the Great Barn at Redbrick Woodland Lodges. We were three couples and two children (5 years old). The barn has been really nicely renovated and is as shown in the photos. Its in the woodland with only a few other lodges around so really quiet and peaceful and its close to a number of parks and attractions. However, we did have a number of issues during our stay:- Check-in is from 4pm. The arrival literature says they will send you a deposit link and then release the lock box code. I still hadnt had a deposit link by 3pm on our check-in day so contacted the park ranger to ask for it. It took him a while to send through, I paid immediately but the code wasnt released until about 4.30pm and after a number of phone calls from us chasing it.- The internet does not work. There is no router on each barn / lodge, just an extender from one main router but it does not work to the Great Barn. And because you are in woodland there is limited phone reception. We were essentially without any internet for the whole week which also meant the TV didnt work either (couldnt get any streaming services and only a couple of the terrestrial channels). This really should be made clear on the advert as it was a big issue for us. One of our party was intending to work from the barn a couple of days and we were planning to watch some films with it being winter. I would expect a good internet connection as standard in 2024 and if there isnt it should be made clear prior to booking. - The barn is a large open plan space so the acoustics inside are very large - you can hear everything wherever in the barn you are.- The upstairs en-suites are not completely enclosed so again if someone is in the bedroom at the time then you can hear everything!- The hob hadnt been cleaned properly so we had to do that on arrival and the freezer has completely frozen shut so we had to defrost it.- The dishwasher wasnt cleaning properly and one of the en-suite showers wasnt draining. The park ranger came to look at these issues without any tools and determined there wasnt an issue when there clearly was. I contacted him again to say they still werent working but he never resolved it.- All the crockery and cutlery is cheap so the pans stick, etc.- Id say the kitchen is reasonably well equipped but missing some things Id expect as standard. In somewhere billed as luxury. There are absolutely no basics provided such as milk, oil, salt, pepper, etc.- We had a mouse in the barn which I told the park ranger about but he didnt come to deal with it. We therefore did this ourselves which meant we had to move beds and other furniture, which were absolutely filthy underneath. Overall the bar is a great size and the hot tub is good, but the service and extras werent what I would expect from a luxury accommodation. Its much more basic than you are led to believe when booking."

"Small touches made it extra special, the log fire was a lovely touch."
Elizabeth - Oct 2024
"As mentioned in other reviews the sofas could do with replacing, the support at the back seems weak or even broken"
Adrian - Oct 2024
"Peaceful location, private hot tub. Lovely cottage. Would recommend to anyone wanting a quiet, relaxing break. Our second stay"
Robin - Oct 2024
"great place to stay in a beautiful, peaceful location. A couple of small niggles if I had to be honest, for example the patio doors not opening but these issues were reported on our exit & promises received that each of the little things would be looked into. None of these however would deter us from staying again in the future, nor recommending to others."
Lisa - Oct 2024
"Lodge was clean and tidy and the bedding was fresh! WiFi worked as expected and no issues with the TV or the kitchen appliances! Great weekend all round"
Bradley - Oct 2024
"Very clean, comfortable & close to the main Sherwood Forest.Hot was lovely, especially at night with the colour changing lights!"
Jamie. - Sep 2024
"Lodge was really well thought out, good facilities & kitchen had most things you would need for a short stay. Only thing we would suggest is an area to hang coats and an indoor mat to prevent tracking any wet shoes on the floor."
Verified Guest - Sep 2024
"Fabulous lodge in an excellent location. We regularly go on lodge breaks and this was our favourite so far. Spacious, comfortable lodge with all that you need for a perfect hot tub break m"
Verified Guest - Aug 2024
"Had a lovely 3 night stay with family, we all really enjoyed the lodge and hot tub! Would definitely return."
Verified Guest - Aug 2024
"Lovely cottage, everything you needed was provided, Bed a little too soft for usMaybe could do with a fan for the hot nights"
Dawn - Aug 2024
"Lovely setting. Nice spacious accommodation. Few items getting a little old but generally well equipped. Beds were very low and quite small doubles. We had a problem with the shower not draining and it was fixed within the hour.Would definitely recommend."
Verified Guest - Jul 2024
"Lodge in darkness due to lack of tree control. Need lights on in the lodge. No sun on the balcony. Nice woodland setting, but no excuse for not cutting back trees and shrubs to the front. Slippery path due to moss and the front looks a mess.Cleanliness needs attention. Oven not clean. Upstairs balcony not cleaned for a long time. Leaf debris and bird poop on decks and on outdoor furniture. Cloudy hot tub.Maintenance issues. Toilet seats falling off. Deck stairs rotting. In my view, a lovely cabin but sadly, it appears the managing company have lost interest in maintaining it."
Verified Guest - Jul 2024
"Incredibly clean and spacious, fully fitted out kitchen, all appliances in good clean working order. Fab en suites. The ONLY comment I have is to update and change the sofas, they were probably once really comfy but as they are so deep you fall in to the back of them as the stuffing has now worn away. But thats the only negative I have, the whole lodge is gorgeous and quite frankly Id live there if I could haha!"
Stacey - Jul 2024
"Really relaxing"
Verified Guest - May 2024
"Lots of cobwebs. Decking area should be wiped down more frequently. The upper balcony should be swept."
Jennifer - May 2024
"Great barn was the ideal location for annual get together, having 4 en-suite rooms was just perfect! The house was clean and well equipped with all the mod cons. The location was good with easy access to some lovely woodland paths just across the road and pubs/supermarkets just a short drive away. The only criticism we had was the hot tub - it was definitely not large enough for 8 adults. It fit 6 at a push! For an 8 person house wed expect a much bigger hot tub. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would be happy to return."
Verified Guest - May 2024
"Only two of us staying in a four sleeper, so the facilities were spot on. Plenty of room and most of what you need in the kitchen.Lakeview is the furthest from the main entrance but gives you additional privacy"
Alex - May 2024
"Nice big lodge. Hot tub great. Beautiful surroundings. Comfy beds and clean throughout. A bit tired in spots and a nasty smell coming from downstairs double room shower drain - needs bleach putting down regularly - wondered if it was linked to dishwasher drain."
Verified Guest - May 2024
"Fantastic lodge which surpassed expectations. Really nice surroundings and the Park Manager Konor was really helpful and welcoming."
Liz - Aug 2022
"Our third visit to these lodges and although quite pricey you do get what you pay for. So quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Love these lodges."
Emma - Aug 2022
"We stayed in the great barn very well equipped. Lovely place helpful and friendly warden, hot tub checked every morning."
Caroline - Jul 2022
"We had an excellent stay m, the only down side is the balcony is mostly shaded, only between 5/7 pm dud the balcony get any sun, and this was at the very end of it, far away from the hot Tub which was entirely shaded."
Jen - Jul 2022
"Excellent in every way"
William - Jul 2022
"Loved it, been before and it’s very quiet and peaceful, will definitely be going back"
Neil - Jul 2022
"Amazing lodge with great views"
Carl - Jul 2022
"Great location and peaceful on site. The site is well maintained and looked after. The only thing I could say to make it better is maybe update your sign on the road as it’s very easy to miss when driving on the main road."
Daniel - Jul 2022
"We had a really wonderful stay, would definitely come again"
Katie - Jul 2022
"Fantastic break in idyllic location. Staff on hand (if needed) but quietly go about their roles in a manner which does not disturb your own peace and quiet."
Deryck - Jul 2022
"What an amazing and relaxing stay I had here with my family, the lodge is beautiful, very clean and has everything you need. We are already looking at dates for our next stay ?"
Kayleigh - Jul 2022
"Amazing stay, lovely cottage, clean, lovely surroundings, relaxing, overall the best experience"
Jacqueline - Jul 2022
"We loved our stay here and look forward to coming back, very clean facilities, loads to do in the area, very peaceful only downfall was the heating as it was always in full even if we changed it on the settings but didn’t spoil the stay!"
Amanda - Jun 2022
"Very peaceful and relaxing! Great hot tub"
