Verified Guest - Oct 2024
"Had a lovely stay, lodge was very clean and comfortable with hot tub. The kitchen was very well equipped and loads of storage. Beds were very comfortable and plenty of storage space in the rooms. The view overlooking the pond was lovely from the decking and my husband and son in law loved the fishing. Didnt use much of the facilities available due to the weather but we frequent the club where we played pool and enjoyed a drink or too and bingo. Overall a very pleasant and enjoyable experience well worth the money cant wait to go back next year??"

"An excellent holiday site. Lodges are clean and spacious."

"We had such a great break in lodge 9"
Verified Guest - Sep 2024
"We have been going to the area for over 15 years. The park is picturesque and has lots to do, if you want or you can just relax and enjoy the wildlife. The lodges are well equipped and comfortable. My only wish is for a bigger bed as we are used to a super king at home. The hot tub is cleaned and refilled for each visit so you can be confident of cleanliness."
Verified Guest - Sep 2024
"Perfect - well be back!"
Janet - Sep 2024
"Loved the lodge, space and views, all the things you need, extra touch, dressing gown and slippers."
Verified Guest - Sep 2024
"Lodge was perfect for us, everything we needed and in the perfect location on the lake."
Timothy - Sep 2024
"Lodge 20 very nice well equipped just showing its age."
Neil - Sep 2024
"Lovely, well maintained lodge with good facilities. The beds were comfy but for me, the sofas were less so. The sofa backs are not high enough and the backs and seats were somewhat saggy. The hot tub was great but it didn't have lights. I'm not sure that all the jets were working. The bathrooms were great and the indoor and outdoor tables and seating were also great, although cushions for the outdoor seating would have improved the comfort."
Geoff - Sep 2024
"Everything you need"
Verified Guest - Aug 2024
"Lovely stay here for 4 nights in July 2024. Stayed at the Garden Lodge. Kids loved the on site games such a Foot Golf, Crazy Golf and Kayaking. Also loved the hot tub. Also within driving distance of the coast to enjoy the beaches nearby."
Robert - Aug 2024
"Very tired and dated, needs a full upgrage and the radiators in the bathrooms sorted so they can be turned off."
Verified Guest - Jul 2024
"A 5 out of 5. Our beautifully appointed lodge (#9), featured two en-suite bedrooms (a double with shower and a twin with a roll top bath), a large lounge, dining table and chairs, large kitchen with dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, outdoor furniture and hot tub. The park itself is beautifully manicured, with wildlife a plenty. Bert's pizza offers great views and food."
Katie - Jul 2024
"Lodge was spotless decking filthy couldn't get the oven to work and no instructions hot tub was warm but not hot nowhere to do hair and makeup in master bedroom bathrooms we're beautiful fixtures and fittings we're beautiful a washing machine would be good because of the hottub"
Verified Guest - Jun 2024
"Lovely lodge, very private, the beds are comfy, but pillows a bit shallow with one and yet too high with two. Would prefer a medium height pillow but that's just purely down to individual taste. On suite shower room floor needs some attention. Lounge lovely and comfy and very spacious. You have to have patience and a skill with the gas hob/oven to get it started. But other than this, a lovely place to have a nice quiet break."
Melanie - May 2024
"Lovely chilled out week hot tub was wonderful. There will be a next time."
Susan - May 2024
"Lodge did not disappoint, everything we needed and more. Hot tub was checked by staff daily (although we were too busy to use it!). Bathrobes and slippers a lovely touch, same with tea/coffee and milk on arrival."
Shellen - May 2024
"Amazing holiday."
Samantha - May 2024
"Another great break at Dacre park, been coming for years, several times a year. The lodges could do with a centrifuge spinner for all the wet cosies and the fridges are just not big enough but other than that, a home away from home and very comfortable. We already have our next trip planned, and were disvussing dates for the next, however very disappointed with Hoeseasons, whom allocate the cabin no at the time of booking, lowest cabin numbers first, ive always called up to secure a cabin around the lake rather than the pond, however now they want an additional fee to do this. Seriously where is the customer care, this is just profiteering and charging for nothing. I'm so disappointed that I can't bring myself to book another stay."
Julie - May 2024
"As previously stated the decking ceiling and the window once opened and patio doors all need a clean on the wood work due to spiders and midges stuck to the wood (old nests)The lodge had everything we needed, good facilities all in good working order. The best power shower I've ever had, and very clean and comfortable. Would have given 5 rating if it wasn't for the bugs around the windows and doors"
Michelle - May 2024
"We had a great weekend, lodge was lovely and staff very helpful"
Verified Guest - May 2024
"A wonderful, relaxing site. Its our happy place away from home. Friendly people and the staff are so welcoming and helpful."
Shirley - May 2024
"Beautiful lodge with everything you need, home from home. The beds were like hotel beds, very comfortable. Immaculately clean and modern, cant wait to return."
Joanne - May 2024
"The only down side of our lodge was where it was as we could hear the traffic from the main road behind the lodge, also the door that is directly at the side of the hot tub had broken, the maintenance had to order a part for the door which didnt get fixed while we were there for our break"
Verified Guest - Apr 2024
"We had a fab holiday. Kids enjoyed the ice cream shop & cafe Prices of activities were really good so we took advantage and especially enjoyed the golf & footgolf. Lovely Italian restaurant on site too - food was gorgeous!"
Lynn - Aug 2022
"Lovely relaxing holiday with lots to do on site. Friendly staff, the place has a laidback feel about it. Nice little village opposite with 2 pubs a Chinese, chip shop convenience store and newsagents."
Kerrie - Aug 2022
"Fantastic place to stay the staff are lovely. There are many things to do that they offer. I stayed in a shepherds hut it was fantastical. The only tiny downfall is there was nothing in the room to kill the flies or nothing to stop them from coming in and with having the door open and it being warm there was a lot coming in"
Sophie - Aug 2022
"Lovely lodge with a great hot-tub. Nice vibe on the site with beautiful views. The lodge overall wasn’t overly clean, with the veranda covered in cobwebs but as a group we could see past that. Overall great place."
Bryce - Jul 2022
"This was a lovely little place to have a break away. The Shepherd's Hut was lovely and really well appointed. The only gripe we really had was that the panel on the side of the bed was really uncomfortable when getting in and out of bed. The bed itself was lovely and comfortable. One suggestion we made at Reception was that part of the selling point of his break was the hottub (which was fab, by the way), the only issue was accessibility insofar as that the entrance steps to get into the hot tub were no good for my fiancee who had a knee replacement about six months ago, so sadly she couldn't use it which was a real shame. Perhaps some sort of steps and handrail up to the side of the hot tub could be adapted. Other than that we would definitely go back, but probably opt for a lodge next time."
Andy - Jul 2022
"Great week at dacre. Lodge was spotless inside & hot tub checked daily. Facilities on site were really good aswell. Great location close to beaches & local towns."
Lorraine - Jul 2022
"This place is amazing by far the best place we have stayed. Very peaceful, we went early July before the kids finished school. Staff are friendly and helpful. Lots of ducks that greet you when you open your cabin door, and lots of rabbits too. Lovely restaurant, bar and adventure golf. We had 3 lovely days kayaking on the lake from our own jetty which is something we have been searching for for ages. Already booked for next year along with my son and his girlfriend. Would highly recommend well worth the money."
Michael - Jul 2022
"Park was very pleasant, though sitting on veranda was spoilt by noise from nearby main road. Lodge was very comfortable but in need of updating. However a very enjoyable week enhanced by good weather."
