"Great lodge, had the best week away for the new year. Lodge was clean, tidy all amenities were great. Everything we needed for our stay. Staff friendly and helpful. I've even left something in the lodge, the property are posting this out for me. Great service from start to finish. Close to town centre, great base with great views. Our lodge was a spa lodge it was perfect, we had a really great stay."

"Beautiful lodge, very spacious, comfortable beds and sofas to chill out on. It had everything we needed for a week away for 3 adults and our dog. We had a Tesco delivery which was very easy. We was very lucky with the weather for October and enjoyed the lovely quality patio furniture on the massive decking area, with views to die for. The hottub was really nice- only gripe we had was due to the decking being fully enclosed the guys had to walk through the lodge to check the hot tub, it says they come daily between 9 and 10 so we was outing off breakfast etc until they had been but they only actually came once which was the Saturday - we was there Monday - Monday. The hot tub stayed very clean so it wasn't a problem it was just we was waiting for them to come, when we could have been having breakfast or using the hot tub. We stay in lodges 3-4 times a year and this is in our top 3."

"Good lodge on nice park seemed well managed and during our time very quiet and peaceful. The on site staff took note of what I asked of them and reacted as I would expect. Ideal for the areas and what it offers. Close to Hadrian's Wall, Hexham and other places within easy reach. The lodge very well cleaned and tidy & had all that was needed. Good on USB points and TV's & wifi well for us was without issue.We did not use any facilities on the site so cannot comment on.On the negative. Bathrooms both had nowhere to put toilet bags or personal items, the floor is not the best place, needs a shelf or under sink cupboard. The twin bed room, no mirror and no shelf or small dressing table, no hair or makeup can be done.It also needs more drawers, one bedside cabinet between two beds not enough. You need very long arms to be able to turn the one light on/off from the bed, high risk of fall for elderly person. The room was fine beds ok but a bit lacking really. Also some kind of privacy blinds or whatever needed in bedrooms, closing curtains makes it so very dark.We did like the lodge and whilst a few tiny things they would not stop us using again, such a perfect location and easy to get too. Traffic bumps very vicious near reception, great care is very much needed, the rest are ok."

"We stayed in Alder Spa Lodge and had an absolutely perfect week. The lodge was immaculate and clean, very spacious and had everything we needed. The beds were super comfortable. The views from the lodge were amazing (we loved having the sheep come to visit us every day), and the hot tub was very spacious and comfortable. The sauna and steam room just made it even more worth it. Staff were so friendly and helpful and we cannot wait to stay here again. Lodge would be perfect for a family as there is lots of room for children to play on the decking. Its very private, we didnt see or hear from anyone the whole week! All in all 10/10 and absolutely 100% worth the money- will definitely be returning."

Only thing that let it down was the mattress in main bedroom for being a five star park did not expect to feel every spring in the mattress. It would not stop us from staying again. We would have asked for it to be changed but did not want to disturb someone over the Christmas x"

Accommodation was clean, almost new, light and airy. bed comfortable, 2 bathrooms meant no waiting .. . . . . . . . . ."
