"We have stayed at slightly cheaper locations, but none as nice as this. With only a microwave in the kitchenette, it would be a challenge to cook a decent meal when the weather isn't nice (we were lucky so able to make use of the bbq).The wood-fired hot tubs were lovely though, as well as having the peacocks wandering around our feet when chilling on the deck with a glass of wine. Plus, the hosts were very attentive and made our stay very comfortable.We would definitely recommend Apple Mount to everyone."

"The Pod itself was rather cute, very comfortable and lovely amd warm. It was perfect. Little details such as providing us with tea coffee sugar and milk, even biscuits and hot chocolate. It was very thoughtful. Nice size pod for two including a hot tub which was so lovely. I would highly recommend staying in the pod."

"My partner and I have just returned from a lovely four nights away at this cottage. Lovely helpful owners which do not intrude and are there if you need them. Large fenced off garden ideal for our dog. Fully equipped cottage with everything you need. We used the bbq one of evenings. Brilliant hot tub! "Stayed here for a week from 15 to 22 July with our 2 mini daschund girls who thoroughly enjoyed there stay making new friends in the village of thaxted. The cottage is lovely especially the hot tub a bonus as it was the hottest days of the year so the water was coolled so it was more refreshing the hosts were very welcoming was nice to see there horses being taken to the fields each day you are on the flight path near stansted but I enjoyed watching the planes come in would definitely recommend "

"The lovely cottage is situated on a working farm, but is very private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are delightful. The cottage is very spacious with good equipment in the kitchen and the bathroom. The bed is really comfortable. The garden is secluded; dog proof and with good furniture. There are numerous walks around. Thaxted has good restaurants. We liked The Star and The Maypole. The Swan and the Indian are not bad either. We thoroughly recommend this place. "
