Beech Hedge Reviews

"We booked this the day before as our other accommodation had builders in, it was the blessing as the cabin is honestly amazing. Cabin has everything you need and hot tub area is so private, even has a canopy that is tied down so you can use in any weather! Also have outdoor fridge beside hot tub. The photos online doesn't do it justice as is much more private than shown. Take aways also deliver. We took a firestick and connected to the wifi, worked great! Definitely recommend and we will be back. Only spoke to owner on arrival and he was helpful, didnt need to contact them for anything else as book explained everything. Its dated inside but standard for a holiday cabin. Only thing was on the last day there was guy hovering around cabin with a lawn mower/hedge trimmer, woke us up at crack of dawn but check out is 10am, if we werent checking out it wouldnt have been ideal."

"Good but can be improved"

"It was better than we expected. We were greeted promptly, everything was super clean and well maintained. The hot tub was checked daily. Every lodge was occupied but it was still peaceful with barely any sounds coming from the other lodges. It was also more private than we expected so we could enjoy the hot tub comfortably without being overlooked.Would definitely go back and do highly recommend ????"

"Lovely Lodge was homely. Only thing lacking for us personally was no place for walking the dog. Had to drive to nearby trail for that. Overall really enjoyed peaceful surroundings. Would go back again"

"Furniture needs to be steamed cleaned. Spoilt the stay by all the dirt and stains in the seating areas"
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"Beech Hedge is in a beautiful location and the gentleman who greeted us promptly was lovely. The caravan was nice inside and clean. The only thing that really let it down was the equipment inside the caravan, particularly the kitchen. There were no basics like chopping board or colander to drain pasta. The only small vegetable knife was coming apart between the blade and the handle and was dangerous to use. At least two of the pots had handles that were barely attached. We enjoyed our stay in a beautiful location but the kitchen situation made it difficult to cook for our family. Strangely for such a small campsite in the middle of the countryside, it was also very noisy at night - on the Saturday night there was music playing till 3am - again, not great for the family."

"Very nice ???? we would like come back again ????????"
Marwah - Nov 2023
"Really nice lodge with everything to hand that is needed. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Lodge is very welcoming and comfortable, nicely decorated, clean and practical. Bed was very comfortable and area very quiet. We will definitely be back and will bring the dog next time! Easy access to surrounding towns and Perth. Couldnt fault it and the price was brilliant too."
Jennifer - Oct 2023
"The caravan had everything we needed & was in good condition. Lovely location to explore the surrounding towns & countryside. The reception was very friendly. Small quite site, but as we wanted. Only slight issue was the poor WiFi signal."
Alison - Aug 2022
"Relaxing and peaceful break. Nice caravan."
Heather - Jul 2022
"Met the owner when we arrived, very friendly and advised details etc. cabin was excellent, clean and tidy with everything you need. Hot tub was amazing. Only issue we had was the amount of flies. Bought fly spray and sorted the issue"
Debbie - Jul 2022
"The area was brilliant. We could go in any direction straight on the motorway. Location of our caravan was very good."
Dinoo - Jul 2022
"Lovely break. Very spacious and clean accommodation in very nice surrounding countryside. A little drive to any significant locations, shops, beaches etc…. but from my perspective this isn’t a complaint. Lidl was an 8 minute drive and beautiful walks within 10 minutes. We were more than happy to drive further afield in exploration. We had a lovely time"
Chris - Jul 2022
"Caravan modern, clean and comfy. A good location for exiring Perthshire."
Jude - Jul 2022

Brechin Castle Centre - DD9 6RL
about 29 Miles

So much more than a garden centre this place is ideal for a fun family day out in Angus. The garden centre stocks a huge range of plants, outdoor furniture and gardening equipment and also has a café serving tasty home made meals, cakes and snacks. The site has a large outdoor play area for children an ornamental pond and country park to explore. Halloween and Bonfire night's events are coming up soon. The annual Fireworks Display is really spectacular.

Smoo Cave - IV27 4QB
about 38 Miles
Smoo Cave is a popular attraction which can be enjoyed all year round but visitors should wrap up warm during the winter months.  This spectacular limestone sea-cave in Sutherland is the largest in Britain and is simply spectacular. The cave was formed by a burn that runs down into the rear chamber, as well as erosion caused by the sea. Guests can take the path from the car park which runs right through the cave. Boat trips are available in the summer months and are an excellent way to fully appreciate the cave from all angles.
