"Our Loch Tay Highland Lodge Park review: We recently stayed at this charming cottage on a working farm and it was such a peaceful escape. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are lovely and very welcoming. The place itself is really spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. The bed was super comfy and the garden was perfect for our dog-completely secluded and safe, with nice furniture. There are plenty of walks nearby and we loved exploring the area. Thaxted has some cracking restaurants, especially The Star and The Maypole. The Swan and Indian are worth a mention too. Definitely a place wed recommend!"

"We stayed here recently and really enjoyed the place - its lovely and the room was super clean. However, the shower was a bit disappointing; its fed from an electric heater under the sink, so the water heat was inconsistent. Also, the kitchen only had a smoke alarm in the bedroom, which unfortunately went faulty during the night, waking us up quite suddenly. Bit of a letdown, but overall, its a decent spot."

The hot tub was a real treat after a long cycle day - so relaxing! Only thing to note is that the cottage is quite close to Stansted's flight path, so you do get quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didnt bother us much after a while, but it might be a consideration if you're sensitive to noise. Overall, a great find!"

"We stayed here for a week in July with our two mini daschunds and honestly, the dogs loved it! They made plenty of new friends in the charming village of Thaxted. The cottage itself is really lovely, especially the hot tub - perfect after those scorching hot days, since the water was cooled and super refreshing. The hosts were warm and friendly, it was nice to see them taking the dogs to the fields every day. Sure, it's near Stansted's flight path, but I quite enjoyed watching the planes land. Would definitely stay again!"

The cottage itself is adorable, with its charming half-timbered style and a really good shower - not always easy to find! The living space felt cosy and the bed was super comfy. Parking right next to the cottage was a bonus and it was spotlessly clean. Plus, plenty of nice walks around Thaxted, which made the trip even better. Would definitely recommend!"
