Just a mile from the historic market town of Wimborne in glorious Dorset with its spectacular coastline and delightful resorts, Merley Woodland Lodges sit within ten acres of parkland and woodland. Bournemouth, Poole and the New Forest are all within easy reach and there are some superb facilities including an outdoor heated pool and tennis courts.
Merley Woodland Lodges has table tennis, pool tables, a bar and family room and a children’s playground. The more adventurous can try their hand at kitesurfing lessons in Bournemouth, and if you enjoy fresh, locally sourced food and excellent fish dishes, Da Vinci’s Warehouse Brasserie in Poole is well worth a visit with its stunning views over the harbour.
We can heartily recommend the Canford Premier Lodge. It sleeps up to four people in two spacious double bedrooms and patio doors lead out onto a large verandah with a private outdoor hot tub. It is stylish and luxurious, fully equipped with a flat screen TV and DVD with Freeview and adult bikes are included so that you can cycle right from your doorstep.
Dorset has more than its share of history and heritage - Brownsea Island sits in Poole Harbour and is home to one of Henry VIII’s coastal castles. Highcliffe Castle in Christchurch is also worth a visit with its medieval stonework and stained glass windows. Merley Woodland Lodges is just a few miles away from Eype’s Mouth, a gravel and sand beach overlooked by impressive cliffs with wonderful views. Poole and Bournemouth also have some lovely beaches with beautifully clean water.
