Wareham Forest Lodge Retreat Reviews

"Lodge was perfect for our requirements, we wanted somewhere safe and comfortable and this was exactly that. Plenty of room for two adults and a baby and had all the amenities we needed including very large fridge freezer, oven, Gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, iron/ironing board and washer/dryer. The only thing we found to be missing was a frying pan but we could manage without that! All in all a lovely stay and would definitely stay in one of these lodges again."
Sarah - Aug 2020
"The lodge was clean and cosy with mostly everything you need. There were a few minor issues, the hook in the bathroom fell off and the kickboard in the kitchen kept coming off but they did not spoil our holiday. The beds are very comfy and showers are nice and hot with good pressure. Other very minor issues were there was no collinder in the kitchen and problems with TV signal in the master bedroom (the aerial point was loose) but this did not bother us greatly. Also there were 2 shower as oppose to 1 shower 1 bath and this was not evident at the point of sale (we have a 1 year old) so I think if we had stayed longer than 4 nights this would have become a problem as shower was difficult. All in all I would stay again."
Christy - Aug 2020
"Very impressed with the lodge and indeed the whole site. Would certainly consider staying there again. It was very peaceful, pleasant surroundings and the staff were excellent. All our family enjoyed their stay at Wareham Forest Retreat."
Valerie - Aug 2020
"Good park and good standard lodges"
Paul - Aug 2020
"See you again soon!!"
Verified Guest - Aug 2020
"Lovely spacious lodge and a peacefull retreat. Close and easy drive to Poole and sandbanks"
Paul - Aug 2020
"Excellent stay, relaxing, peaceful & enjoyable. Very close to nearby attractions."
Kerry - Aug 2020
"Lodge was spacious and perfect for our party of 7, cleanliness was good except the ceilings had lots of cobwebs in every room."
Andrea - Aug 2020
"Very good. The only we could mention was the chilled wine cabinet did not work, only stayed at 28 degrees. Also, the heating kept coming on!!!!!"
Hazel - Aug 2020
"Had a fab week in lovely lodge in great location"
Petra - Aug 2020
"Great location and spacious clean lodge. The staff were all friendly with great attention to detail- especially relevant in the current uncertain Covid situation, extra precautions, cleaning and social distancing made easy !"
Martin - Aug 2020
"Excellent but patio door did not close properly and I had to call for maintainence
It still wasn't fixed properly"
Gurcharan - Jul 2020
"Would recommend site, lodge and the area with more attention to detail re cleaning"
Lisa - Jul 2020
"We stayed in a Hazel 3 lodge which was really nice. It is a good size though a little frustrating that the 2 twin rooms are quite different in size!
One is quite spacious with bigger beds & 3 mirrors. The other pretty small, smaller beds & no mirrors - bit random!
The master bedroom & en suite are great though, as is the open plan living/kitchen area & decking.
We had very little interaction with staff due to COVID 19. We did ask for someone to look at the kitchen tap which was spitting everywhere and it was sorted really quickly.

The lodge was really clean in general - bathrooms in particular. However I had to was everything in the kitchen before use - crockery, cutlery, glasses - as it was quite dirty still.
Also it is not what I would call well equipped as the description states. It would be nice to have more than 6 each of plates, bowls, knives, forks etc. Had to constantly wash everything during preparing a meal and not enough plates to use any as serving plates.
Also missing lots of basics like kitchen scissors, a jug, a colander and so on. If Id known in advance I wouldve taken some bits with me!"
Kate - Jul 2020
"Lodge lovely and clean with only one exception which was that the water in the ensuite sink wouldnt run away. The sink was blocked with thick soap slime which we actually sorted and cleared ourselves but it could possibly be worth reminding the cleaning team to pay attention to these small details. If not for that it would have scored a 10."
Hazel - Jul 2020
"Had a fabulous weekend"
Tammy - Jul 2020
"Very pleased would come back again"
Claire - Jul 2020
"Great accommodation and location. Beautiful, peaceful surroundings. We had a great holiday.

Could have been a little cleaner, some dust under the bed and a spill not washed off the sofa. But overall very happy."
Shehla - Jul 2020
"Overall - had an enjoyable holiday. Baking trays in oven needed a bit more cleaning before we could use !"
John - Jul 2020
"Would recommend this for a quite relaxing stay."
Jane - Jul 2020
"great location and accommodation - rather pricey though"
Shawn - Jul 2020
"I was disappointed to find dirty cups in the cupboard although this was quickly sorted by housekeeping, it left me concerned that other things hadn't been checked and cleaned thoroughly. The lodge was sealed and check in observed social distancing, but the dirty cups left me feeling the need to clean the lodge myself in order to feel safe, not the best start to our break."
Julie - Jul 2020
"We had a great stay and look forward to coming back in the future."
Rachael - Jul 2020
"Marvellous lodge! Really stylish and beautiful. The staff was wonderful. One thing that I wouldn't expect for this price, is although the lodge was generally quite clean, the floor was not very clean."
Elissavet - Jul 2020
"With the current situation with Covid we were really sad when our holiday abroad was cancelled. We are key workers and wantEd a much needed rest. We totally loved Wareham Forrest Lodge Retreat and have wonderful memories and cant wait to return."
Vanessa - Jul 2020
"Excellent lodge in an ideal location. Lovely quiet and well maintained site."
Samantha - Jul 2020
"No club house, playground, pool or restaurant. Bliss!"
Anon - Jul 2020
"Great break! Will definitely return."
Caroline - Jul 2020
"Had a lovely time thanks"
Joy - Jul 2020
"Lodge was in a secluded spot with lots of trees. Well equipped kitchen (more teaspoons needed though!). Only negatives were that the basin in the ensuite shower room didn't drain properly and the Reception was closed due to the Covid restrictions."
Carol - Jul 2020
"We had a wonderful weeks break away at Wareham Forest lodge. We were allocated a lovely peaceful lodge which was completely private. Wareham Forest Lodge is on a peaceful location of you don’t mind driving. It is a great base to explore Swanage, Poole, Bournemouth and Weymouth."
Julie - Aug 2022
"The location and the surroundings were brilliant and the staff were helpful"
Keth - Aug 2022
"Absolutely lovely. The site was clean and tidy, the shop whilst small had essentials. The lodge itself was first class, no cheap utensils or saucepans, (same as I have at home) a dishwasher and washing machine within the lodge, even a wine cooler to use. Bedding and towels provided and again couldn’t fault quality. Would highly recommend and definitely will return"
Anthony - Aug 2022
"Highly recommend, very relaxing and quiet. Great accommodation."
Natalie - Aug 2022
"A great place to stay!! Extremely clean and tidy lodges and very well kept grounds. Very quiet and perfect for exploring the Jurassic coast and it’s beautiful seaside towns due to its location. Would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend ??"
Libby - Aug 2022
"Very peaceful site , fabulous staff and accommodation with fabulous little touches."
Debbie - Aug 2022
"This is our third holiday . lovely lodges really peaceful"
Sharon - Jul 2022
"Absolutely lovely lodge very clean and so quiet at the retreat"
Kevin - Jul 2022
"Wareham Forest Lodge retreat was a quiet site it did not have any entertainment or cafes or bars which suited us. It is surrounded by lovely grounds. The buses to Poole or Swanage are right outside so handy to hope on. There is a pub serving meals (the Claypipe) just a short walk down the road"
Marion - Jul 2022
"Absolutely beautiful and peaceful site. The grounds are well kept and maintained and there is a lovely pub the clay pipe inn about 5 minutes walk away that does a gorgeous carvery but you do need to book a table in advance."
Lisa - Jul 2022
"Lodge was very well equipped, comfortable bed, veranda with hot tub secluded and welcome after a days walking. Location was perfect with bus stop to Poole or Swanage just outside entrance, and a good pub/restaurant a 5 minute walk away."
Andrew - Jul 2022
"Lovely clean accommodation with all amenities. The hot tub was amazing and the location was lovely and quiet. The only small niggle was We stayed during the hottest couple of days and neatly baked alive, the accommodation could do with air conditioning, but other than that was perfect"
