Sandford Reviews

"All good except the radiator in the bathroom doesn't work."
Sue - Sep 2024
"The lodge was value for money but was to far from entertainment with people who as mobility issues"
Verified Guest - Sep 2024
"Web site easy to follow plenty of detail and easy to book."
Verified Guest - Sep 2024
"Bulbury accommodation while small was good. Initially the trailer was musty having all windows closed but once it aired out a little it was fine. The trailer was clean and there was fresh line on the beds. We had a few teething issues (the door hinges squeaked so badly i thought wed wake the kids if we went to the loo in the night but after advising reception this was fixed the same day. Similarly, our curtain railing fell down - this too was fixed the day we notified the park. Kitchen amenities were basic but absolutely fine if you read the site and know what to bring."
Verified Guest - Sep 2024
"Caravan was clean and presentable. Basic furniture but adequate Veranda was not secured for the dogs as we assumed it would be but we managed by going to the local DIY shop and making up a barrier. This would be my only slight criticism as I would suggest securing the verandas on dog friendly vans."
Verified Guest - Jun 2024
"Lovely roomy lodge. Would be nice to have a few essentials like cleaning clothes and washing up liquid"
Verified Guest - Jun 2024
"The lodge was not as nice as the one you looked at when booking"
Norma - Apr 2024
"Great caravan everything you need big enough for 6 people everything you need in there for cooking in and shower was fine nice as the kids had a bed room each so they were happy"
Cameron - Apr 2024
"The location and park are great. We have been several times before. However, as we paid alot of money for our stay I feel it was very poor value for money."
Verified Guest - Apr 2024
"Couldn't use hot tub, hot water or heating. The floor hadn't been cleaned, otherwise good facilities if working and beds clean and comfortable. Good size lodge. Would have got a much better review if everything was working."
Verified Guest - Feb 2024
"A very nice caravan. All the amenities. The oven takes a little longer to get to temperature so make sure you leave plenty of time."
Matthew - Feb 2024
"Outside the accommodation was fine, the accommodation itself was not. Accepting its a dog friendly site , and we had a dog ourselves, you expect what goes with a dog. However, our dog friendly caravan was not very clean. Furniture was in need of a good clean., and vass quite stalw smelling. The shower wouldn't drain, and , after repair, it leaked underneath the caravan, instead of inside!. The complaint was registered evening time, but not addressed until next day."
David - Nov 2023
"Enjoyed are holiday however lodge could do with deep clean.grease around kitchen. Sofas smelt and looked grubby. Bed mattress could do with replacement. Staff and park itself were excellent."
Steve - Nov 2023
"Amazing holidays!! We booked exactly the holiday the day we got home!!!"
James - Nov 2023
"We arrived and our kids mattress had blood in the middle not a little, a lot. When I went to reception they added us to a list. It never got done and I had to chase it up and that ruined the 1st 2 days. The shower never worked properly. It was not hoovered properly and for the amount of money I was disappointed. I think your staff let you down as they are very young and inexperienced. My dad passed this year and we needed to take mum away for a break but we actually come home disappointed. That caravan should be checked before guests arrive."
Helen - Nov 2023
"Toilet doors did not lock in caravan. Bedroom door had a hole punched in it. No bedding provided for the sofa bed. No results from numerous complaints. Up to deparrure no maintenance had Been done.Reception staff unhelpful and rude."
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"Our holiday was lovely I came with my granddaughter and she loved the swimming pools and all the activities. We went to the show one evening and when we came out it was very dark. For some reason we ended up in the touring and camping site. We should have been in the static caravans. We spent almost two hours walking around in the dark, LOST. Eventually we saw someone and asked how to get back to the caravan. A young lady took us all the way back. From then on we used the car to get to & fro anywhere . I think more signage to main area from camping site would have at least got us going in the right direction"
Wendy - Nov 2023
"Would not recommend or stay here again."
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"Terrible!!! Old black potatoes charged £4 for large chips which was the warm and the size of an extra small. The service was poor like staff could not be bothered. Rented a caravan than can sleep 8 people, when we arrived there was not pillows for the sofa bed, the sofa did not pull out all weekend, the floor was dirty the single beds were messy. The broadband was terrible we couldnt even get signal on our own phone data, there was no brush for the dust pan and only got given 1 bin liner. Even after going straight to reception and asking for these things and complaining we still received nothing. We then went down again on Sunday morning and then at 6pm is when we got our bed covers and pillow only. Not good service at all"
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"Location and caravan good facilities at park everything which is on website swimming pool slide not working was the only down full for the children the banding system not working very well maybe need to have hour sessions in stead of three quarters clear the pool completely then next session go in when you go on this sort of holiday you need deep pockets but this should not be a surprise when booking pre book activities in high season as spaces run out quickly restaurant nice staff all round the complex very friendly and helpful the only down full food not coordinated very well some warm some just of grill plates are hot food not but cooked well bar staff very slow in ordering food more staff needed or to be split into areas ie drinks and food orders"
Lyn - Nov 2023
"Good quality food from main restaurant. Caravan not clean on arrival, had to go to shop to buy bed sheets as reception closed. General areas pretty filthy. Staff very friendly but clearly over worked and very short staffing throughout areas. Blaming it being "busy" - guess what - its Half Term!! Seriously in need of extra staff to stop facilities having to close early. Plenty of photos of the general filth in caravans and general areas."
Russell - Nov 2023
"The holiday was a great price and super impressed with the facilities especially how dog friendly the site was"
Natalie - Nov 2023
"This site was brilliant everything there that you need plenty to do. It was lovely and clean and tidy. The mobile home was also nice and clean and spacious definitely recommend."
Susan - Nov 2023
"We've been at this park once before 2 adults & dog. Caravan we stopped in had stains on carpet, very poor seating in caravan, ripped very worn. Curtains hanging down overall appearance of caravan poor. Site is lovely. We don't use any of the facilities as we've got the dog.Let down by the caravan tbh."
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"It was okay"
Ron - Nov 2023
"Lovely lodge, like home to home, bonus having hot tub."
Kathryn - Jul 2023
"Overall really nice. Staff really nice, friendly and helpful. Good location for coast, Poole, Jurassic coast. The lodge was lovely and comfortable.Only would say that the mattresses need replacing on the beds because you can feel the springs.Good entertainment in the evening."
Helen - Jul 2023
"Had a lovely time here, we were 2 couples no children so did not use all the facilities. Spent our time visiting National trust properties and exploring."
Andrea - Jul 2023
"The lodge was very comfortable and well worth it having the extra space and the hot tub was an added luxury to have. The only downside for me was there were no instructions for the use of the equipment within the lodge. Which was disappointing as you then had to try and work things out, which wasn't easy at times and if you are not tecnically minded, it would be a nightmare."
Gary - Jul 2023
"Stayed for a weekend with my girls. Accommodation was clean through out, beds comfy, but could of done with a thinner quilt. Location perfect for beaches and Corfe. Will certainly be back"
Denise - Jul 2022
"We had a lovely time! The only reason it’s a 9 not a 10 is because you’re limited to time in the pool. We had planned for a pool day as if abroad and we got an hour. Otherwise the facilities and park were lovely."
Shannon - Jul 2022
"Great site plenty to do in and around the area. Lovely Lodge and a well kept clean site. ?"
Stephen - Jul 2022
"Had a great time at Sandford Holiday Park. We were there during the heat wave, so the outdoor pool was much needed and used! It is a lovely site, situated amongst trees and pines. Nice walks up through the woods and back even on the hottest days. The nearest beach was about a 10 minute drive away at Hamworthy, but it is worth it when you get there. A very quiet stretch of beach with just a few paddle-boarders in the water. Actually went for a swim in the sea (first time in about 30 years!). We had a really lovely holiday and I would give the site 10 out of 10."
Peter - Jul 2022
"The Staff made this holiday for us they were so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much for them they went up and beyond to help.Even to the staff on the ticket shop who was so nice to the children when they cashed the weeks tickets and asked them what colours they wanted.Every night the security staff would ask if we were o.k and chatted as we went into the show bar. When the children did activities they were encouraged which brought out the best in them.So can I thank all the staff at Sandford for a very happy and relaxing holiday. We certainly will come back."
