Nestled away in the heart of East Devon countryside are the Lakeview Manor lodges, where guests will find a warm welcome with on-site facilities and luxurious lodges aplenty! Set within forty-five acres of country manor house and hotel land in Dunkeswell, there's plenty of beautiful views to enjoy, whist the historic market town of Honiton is just a five-minute drive away. So, get the family together and see what a gorgeous retreat in Devon can offer you and your loved ones!
Keen fishermen and aspiring anglers will love to make use of the two well- stocked fishing lakes on-site, perfect for getting some practice in on holiday (or teaching the others a fishing trick or two!), but if you don't manage to get a catch, the on-site restaurant and bar are really handy to have nearby.
Whist the kitchens within each respective lodge are contemporary and beautiful decorated, we all have our moments on holiday where we'd rather not get out all the pots and pans, and just simply let someone else do the work for us, so it’s worth having a look at the menu! Enjoy lunch or dinner overlooking the lake and gardens before heading back to your lodge for some after-dinner drinks.
Aside from the kitchens (located within a large open plan dining and living area) the lodges within Lakeview Manor have plenty more to offer inside and out. Families and groups will appreciate the space offered by the Lakeview lodge, which sleeps up to four people over two bedrooms. Admire the lake views from the comfort of your own private veranda, complete with furniture and sunken outdoor hot tub! With two pets allowed, it’s perfect for those wanting to bring everyone along.
The Waterside lodge is equally ideal, accommodating up to four guests over two bedrooms. Like the Waterside lodge, there's still plenty of room for everyone in the open plan kitchen, diner and living area, as well as veranda with sunken hot tub to wind down in. And with one pet allowed free of charge at the Waterside Lodge too, what’s not to love!
Whoever, you might be travelling with – whether younger family members or simply a group of old friends, Wildwood is a great day out for anyone young at heart, and is just a twenty to thirty minute drive away. This network of woodland trails is home to a wide variety of British animals and wildlife, such as wolves, lynx, and wildcats. Loose yourself in the huge maze before letting the kids blow off steam in the play area... Or take a ride down the long 40-meter zip wire if they're feeling courageous! Top the day all with a slice of cake in the coach House café before returning to Lakeview Manor.
Car enthusiasts, or anyone looking for a day out with a difference will love an adventure out at the Land Rover Experience in nearby Honiton, where guests have the chance to test their skills over the 35-acre off-road course. Dedicated drivers might like to book a heritage drive to experience four different vehicles from the last seventy years of Land Rover’s history. Or if the budding driver of your family is still a little too young to get their license, book a young off-roader day, where 11–17-year-olds can take the wheel and take a trip around the agility course before tackling steep slopes, deep water driving and plenty more! Everyone is sure to have something to talk about when they get home.
