About Golden Sands Holiday Park Rhyl

Golden Sands Holiday Park Rhyl has over 85 years history of fun filled holidays. Wonderfully located right next to the beach in Kinmel Bay in North Wales, it’s the perfect place for a family seaside holiday. It’s also an excellent base for exploring the beauty of North Wales. The town of Rhyl is closest, though also nearby are Prestatyn, Colwyn Bay and Llandudno (with the Great Orme). Blue Flag beaches offering wonderful seaside holiday traditions along with stunning Snowdonia National Park are within an easy drive.

The park continues to invest in its facilities and opened in 2018 its Carousel Bar. A wonderful indoor heated pool, multi-sports court, soft play area, outdoor adventure playground, restaurant along with the Sandpipers Sports Bar are all at hand throughout the day and night.

Golden Sands Holiday Park Rhyl is also one of just a few parks on the North Wales coast to provide its own access onto a large beach, alongside a bicycle track and walkway, so you really do have everything on your doorstep.

Golden Sands Holiday Park Rhyl Reviews

"The caravan was clean and cozy and had easy to operate settings. Making the heating, shower etc really easy to figure out. All the beds were made up on arrival andAlthough we only had 4 people staying there was plenty of room and there was enough space for 2 more In the living room without it being too much of a squeeze. The Wi-Fi availability within the caravan was a nice unexpected touch."
Samantha - Apr 2024
"Overall a nice place to stay but prices of stay are wildly inflated for school holiday stays"
Verified Guest - Apr 2024
"Positives:We stayed here last week for 4 nights and generally had a great time. The positives were that the caravan was clean, the site had plenty of things to do and is close to various attractions and activities. The on site arcade, bar and pool were all very good and our kids loved the amusements and in site staff, especially the entertainment team. Negatives:When we arrived there was no one around to check us in. We arrived just after 17:30pm on a Thursday and all facilities were closed. I rang the general enquiries line and they advised someone would be with us soon. We didn't have to wait too long, but it was not what we were expecting. We were also put into a caravan that was not what we expected: we had booked a superior caravan but what we got seemed quite basic, and did not look like what was advertised on the site (I appreciate that pictures will not fully represent all the caravans of that style, but there were clear differences in quality). We did query the caravan to check we had been given the right one, and we were told it was correct. There was not much else we could do, so we accepted the caravan, but it would make us reluctant to book this type of caravan again. All in all, the experience wasn't hampered too much by it, but it wasn't the start we wanted to the holiday."

"Cannot fault this van and its definetly worth it to upgrade, Ill never go basic again , only thing I can fault is it wud of been nice to have pillow protectors and a mattress topper, but apart from that vry comfortable and warm. Also we turned the water down as our 3 year old but the hot tap on n it was vry hot for her. Loved it though lots of room too"
Verified Guest - Mar 2024
"Holiday park very nice.. good location and helpful staff"
Kurshid - Mar 2024
"Lovely caravan"
Verified Guest - Feb 2024
"The caravan was very clean and the little welcome pack was a lovely touch it was lovely and warm the central heating was great the beds were very comfortable"
Thomas - Feb 2024
"Food was pricey, and underwhelming! Staff were friendly and helpful all over the resort, especially the pool staff! Caravan was lovely and clean although beds could do with new mattresses! We did enjoy our stay, but not sure if wed return."
Ashleigh - Nov 2023
"Sticky stuff on floor by table .Only one hand towel no other towels only one toilet brush . No lighter for cooker we had to buy one and left it for next people ..Other than that it was a nice caravan"
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"Caravan was clean and tidy when we arrived"
SUSAN - Nov 2023
"Beautiful place to stay caravan really spacious the only down fall was the pull out bed in living area not comfortable at all had to by a air bed sham because the caravan it self was lovely with 2 toilets we all had a great time beach right their beautiful"
Judith - Nov 2023
"Supposed to be a luxury 8 it most certainly was not luxury very disappointed with the caravan especially the price I paid"
Louise - Nov 2023
"We booked and payed for a luxury 8 birth 3 bed caravan but were contacted on the morning of our holiday to say that us was not available. We had already travelled half way and felt we had to accept the alternative accommodation offered. This was a 2 bed caravan but we were told it was like for like and if the same luxury quality, it was not. There was no outside space or decking for our dog (as per original booking), the van was not of the same quality and was very basic and the location was opposite the amenities and very noisy with no privacy. We didnt have adequate bedding or any cleaning items as was stated on the booking. Also, I had to sleep in the lounge and this was far from ideal. The difference in price was refunded, however £50 seems incredibly low for the level of downgrade, last minute notice, inconvenience and stress. I will never book with this company again."
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"For the price I paid for the caravan I didn't think they was anything luxury about it"
Craig - Nov 2023
"The caravan was lively and spacious. Plus it was ???? friendly. Bed comfortable. Only one complaint they was no door between the lounge and the rest of the caravan. But all in all we enjoyed our break."
SUSAN - Nov 2023
"Would never recommend or go to that site again I might as well poured my money down the drain"
Hilary - Nov 2023
"It certainly was not a superior caravan very basic my feelings are it was changed because I showed frustration at having to wait one and a half hours to get the key"
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"Below expected poor quality Poor conditionPoor food"

"Caravan in need of upgrading"
Gordon - Nov 2023
"We had a great holiday and the maintenance staff are brilliant. The beds are so tired they must invest in new mattresses. Steve the pool manager is the nicest man and should be given an award for how helpful and welcoming he is. Bar staff need some training. Receptionist isn't friendly at all! How she remains in a front of house position is beyond me. She almost made us drive home with her attitude. Entertainment was amusing and we loved the colour throw. Chip shop standard for seaside. Clean site in a good location. Toilets in the bar and amusement area need locks. Changing in the pool area is hopeless, but pool is good albeit cold. Launderette is pricy and most of the machines were broken. I'd say for a bit of investment this place could be great, at present it's OK."
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"Very poor value for money. Cramped, basic, dirty. Dirty bowls and glasses in the cupboard. One bowl contained the remnants of a tin of tomato soup! No baking tray for the oven. Cleaners had left a mop and bucket in the kitchen. Broken blind in the dining area. Wouldnt return."
Lynn - Nov 2023
"Nice caravan but too small can't move in bedroom or bathroom."
Angela - Jun 2023
"Great location comfortable accommodation"
David - Aug 2020
