Talacre Beach Resort Reviews

"Great lodge! It has everything. Its spacious and very nice. Hot tub is just fabulous."
Zuzana - Oct 2024
"Furniture was stained or well worn. Curtains very thin. Dust in the bedrooms, especially around the beds, living area carpets were dirty, not hoovered and microwave had rust on and in it."
Verified Guest - Oct 2024
"Amazing caravan plenty of space the hot tub was amazing. The cleanliness of the van was also incredible. The fact it had a dishwasher washing machine tea towels hand towels bath towels was a nice touch. And the beds.. wow my kids havent slept so well ever and the double bed for myself and my wife was amazin"
Daniel - Oct 2024
"We stayed in a lodge with accessibility access which was superb. Beds are very comfy, living area big and cosy. Kitchen had all you need for catering. Pool and entertainment close and very good. Food is top notch and the location to the beach is excellent. We will be staying again."
Frances - Oct 2024
"We stayed in the Oakwood lodge. It was beautiful, the lodge was clean, the beds were very comfy. Having an enclosed garden was great for the dog. Hot tub was lovely to enjoy in the evenings. Staff were friendly and helpful responded quickly when we had a query about the heating."
Verified Guest - Sep 2024
"Not value for money"
Deborah - Aug 2024
"A little more attention to detail with cleaning but overall very comfortable, everything as it should."
David - Jul 2024
"When we arrived at the caravan all appeared good, clean and tidy and this was to be expected as we had one of the most expensive models. On the Monday evening when cooking the extractor fan was not working properly and the smoke alarm was constantly blaring. This went on until we finished cooking and the shrill sound was more than an irritation. On further inspection we found that we had limited cooking utensils, few cutlery, no egg flip, broken tin opener, few glasses, one oven tray and no grill pan. This was reported the next morning when reception was open.Overnight one of the single beds which my son (17) was sleeping in broke but fortunately he was not injured. When unpacking in the bedroom it was noticed that a drawer was also broken. When using the dishwasher we discovered that it was not working.Other issues included a faulty toilet seat, a broken shower hose, a broken dinning chair and no towel rail in the master bedroom ensuite. The hot tub was prepared promptly and we were informed that it would be serviced every other day this did not happen throughout our stay.On our second day two maintenance staff came to repair the faults that we had reported the previous day and we updated them with the additional problems. They were able to fix the bed, toilet seat and shower hose and replaced the smoke alarm. Despite dismantling the extractor fan this could not be repaired without ordering a part neither could the dishwasher. For the full length of our stay we had no dishwasher or extractor fan. They eventually replaced the grill pan after explaining that these were not provided by the oven supplier. All the facilities on Tuesday were closed with the exception of the swimming pool. This pool was too shallow to safety allow adults to swim and the jacuzzi was out of order. In the games room there were a numbers of faulty machines and the pool table shown clearly on the website was non existent which was a disappointment to our family. The surrounding area of our caravan was filthy littered with cigarette buts, paper and even a poppy which must have been there for some considerable time.Talacre appeared to be near to a colony of seagulls which continually made noise all day and from early morning. They even attacked some of the residents on site. After paying for a ferry and choosing one of the most expensive caravans we were devastated by the standard of the caravan and the five star campsite that was advertised. We feel that the site and the accommodation was very run down and not remotely like advertised. Most of our holiday was a combination of frustration and annoyance and we would not recommend anyone to stay at Talacre. Please ensure that you forward a copy of our review to Hoseasons."
JAMES - Jul 2024
"Lodge lovely. Very clean. Nice and spacious. Fenced secure garden. Hot tub was a lovely extra. The only downside was the neighbours dogs and unfortunately this lodge is the one right next door to it. The other lodges may not be as loud"
Jodie - Jul 2024
"For the money dated and wasn't very clean"
Verified Guest - Jul 2024
"Nice comfortable lodge , would benefit having a second shower in main bathroom, so all guests have use of one ."
Clare - Jun 2024
"Very nice time chip shop lovely good value for money ????"
Verified Guest - Jun 2024
"Lovely place to spend your holiday wish we could have our own caravan there"
Verified Guest - Jun 2024
"The lodge was nice and comfortable but I wouldnt exactly call it premium. The outside was covered in seagull poop and cobwebs and looked like it hadnt been cleaned in a long time..The lodge lacked basic kitchen equipment, lack of utensils, no oven proof dishes, dishwasher wasnt working. The main bathroom also hadnt been cleaned properly, the bath was full of dead bugs. Phone/internet signal was awful too, I wouldve thought a premium lodge would of had Wifi. Also the is a sort of fenced off area right next to/adjoining the lodge that had dogs that bark none stop! It was constant barking the whole time we was there, morning, noon and night! We did really enjoy the hot tub and private garden and it was a great location."
Verified Guest - Jun 2024
"Excellent caravan and holiday"
Steve - May 2024
"Comfortable, spacious"
Verified Guest - May 2024
"Nice large caravan but only 3 cups no brush mop or bucket we had 2 dogs wee stains on carpet an nothing on site as were not told we would be on site 2 nothing on it only laundrette an phone box"
MICHELLE - May 2024
"We stayed in the Oakwood Premier lodge which was fairly well equipped in general, but was poorly maintained and hadnt been well cleaned on arrival. When we arrived there were no towels (despite being listed as included), the floors hadnt been swept, the lounge furniture was covered in dog hair, the lodge smelt strongly of dogs and there was muck in the garden that hadnt been cleaned up! We did complain but these werent satisfactorily resolved. In the main bathroom the sink tap handle was missing, there was no blind on the roller cartridge and the shower head holder wasnt mounted properly and fell apart when touched so we didnt use it!!! There were also no oven proof dishes in the kitchen. Whilst the lodge details dont state wi-fi, it is a real surprise in this day and age to not have it in a PREMIER level accommodation. So whilst the park was nice enough, our actual stay was well below expectations and not good value for money at all. Wed even booked during a promotional period and we were still disappointed in terms of value for money- would sadly not recommend this accommodation"
Verified Guest - May 2024
"Caravan clean and comfortable in a nice quiet location near to the beach brilliant for a relaxing dogbreak plenty todo nearby pubs x bakery"
Debra - May 2024
"Beautiful lodge, first time staying in one & it felt like home, everything I needed was there, I couldn't even say anything was missing, it was a such a joy, I've booked the same lodge again for next year & I cannot wait, just beautiful ?? thankyou for having us!"
Ann - Apr 2024
"Whats not to love about the hot tub, comfortable lounge area & really comfy beds! I got a really good deal price wise & we had a brilliant time. Staff checked the hot tub regularly & everywhere was really clean."
Julie - Apr 2024
"Very poor stay, most of the bulbs in side lights were missing, windows didnt open. Leaking sinks, no lights outside when using hot tub. Cleaning was poor and locks on bathroom door were broke. It was a very expensive stay for what we got."
Verified Guest - Apr 2024
"Great caravan just supply a cloth, scourer & little washing up liquid to get you started."
Diane - Apr 2024
"Everything very good especially the comfy beds. Could do with a more powerful shower head."
Lyndsay - Apr 2024
"A great break, pleasant accommodation, good facilities and excellent price"
Verified Guest - Apr 2024
"Lack of basic kitchen equipment like frying pan or even a plug for the sink!"
Verified Guest - Apr 2024
"A beautiful location with lots to do."
Mel - Aug 2022
"Absolutely brilliant holiday again... Lovely site and great facilities"
Stacey - Aug 2022
"My family love it here, beautiful park, beautiful location, beautiful beach. Very close by to surrounding places. The food and drink is quite over priced but all in all we had a fantastic time and will continue to stay here."
