"Place was clean and tidy; pretty much like a little house. I always pre-wash all tableware/cooking things we would use for peace of mind, and after checking them out you could tell everything had been in the dishwasher but had just been sat for a while. No issues. The hot tub is spot on and clean however my only complaint would be that on the morning of our checkout, we had (i assume) their maintenance worker walking around our lodge at 8am and already draining the hot tub towards 9am. After all we could have been in it! Our check out was 10am so it just felt like they were rushing to get us out."

"Hi, I recently stayed at an accommodation that Ive booked with you. I checked in on Friday night to find tons of dead and alive flies in the building. We immediately called reception to address the issue we were then told that it hadnt been cleaned for a week and that maintenance would come out to resolve the issue. We then woke up Saturday morning to find the lodge infested again theyre everywhere its none stop we physically cannot relax. We have had to buy our own bug spray to try temporarily fix the issue while waiting for maintenance. Unfortunately, no one has come to help us. We have stayed at these lodge cabins for the past 4 years with family and friends. Weve never experienced anything like this and dont want too ever again. We left on Sunday unfortunately as I would rather be at home than have stayed any longer. The cabin smells, theres something rotten somewhere its really unacceptable and a possible health hazard. My concern is that youve allowed us to stay here, its disgusting and I cant say Ive experienced anything like this. the cabin hasnt been cleaned, maintained properly and its not up to standard and youve breached hygiene requirements. For what youve charged us, I wouldnt pay to stay here or recommend it after this experience. Its cost us so much more to travel down over 100miles for a complete disappointment. We look forward to our Christmas get away which has definitely become a nightmare."

"Needs to be up dated the lodge. And when people arrive put a little heating on because the lodge is so big it took a full day just to get the lodge warm."

"Lovely lodge.Everything was clean expect a few plates and dishes but would clean these prior to use anyway. Big fridge and 2 freezers. Bedrooms and bathrooms were plenty big enough. Indoor and outside seating which was nice to have the option. Hot tub was plenty spacious for 2 people and was lovely and clean. Wood burner was definitely worth it and would reccommend this lodge to anyone"

"Nice spacious lodge but a bit worn inside. Fridge small and only a very small freezer compartment. Disappointed that you had to pay for the Wi-Fi, no complimentary pack on arrival or the basic condiments."

"I have visited lakeside twice now once in 2015 and again this year It has been fantastic both time's its in a great location, really clean and the staff were very welcoming. The only thing we could tell from our most recent visit is that the lodges needed a bit of money spent on them to freshen them up a bit. You could see that work is being done to some of the lodges with surrounding walls being built around the lodge and hot tubs area. Overall I would recommend lakeside but it does need some investment in the lodges to modernise them for the price you pay."

"Left our holiday early to infestation of flies inside the lodge and rats out on the decking. Left a letter asking for someone to contact us to discuss and nobody bothered to call. Vile. Waste of time and money."

"Lack of useable mirrors, and no full length mirror. Also no dressing table/chair area for getting ready."

"Beautiful setting.The lodge looks tired, the stairs are extremely noisy once at the top and need attention. They woke everyone up. The hot tub water temperature is set far too high, it was only used once for ten minutes."

"Peaceful location, easy reach to shops and takeaways. Perfect getaway from hussle bustle of everyday . Lovely walk along sea front in town. With plenty of cafes . The mariner served great food with views over seafront. Fish and chips from nearest take away to lodges , would definitely recommend. Whiteheads fish and chips . Never tried other fish and chip shops as this one was excellent. Local people friendly and helpful wherever we went. So thank you Hornsea"

"Great lodge for 8 ladies .. fab hot tub .. some areas need an upgrade . The wooden furniture could do with replacing or updating , the sofa in our lodge had been ripped open and stuffing popping out . Lodge spotlessly clean beds comfy and in beautiful surroundings . We will book again for another mid week break"

"It was very clean, pleasant and comfortable. A person Jacuzzi was so welcome. It had enough kitchen utensils and pots and plates. I, personally, would love firmer mattress, but it was fine for other family members. I would have love to have a laundry machine, but there was a laundromat in Hornsea.The lodges were well apart and we could not hear any noise from other lodges (in April).It was really nice to have general, recycle and glass recycle bins around the site. We really had a lovely relaxing week holiday."
