South Downs Hot Tub Retreat Reviews

Emily - Aug 2023
Honestly, this place was fantastic! We wish we'd stayed longer because just one day wasn't enough. The views are absolutely stunning and so peaceful, perfect for escaping the hustle. The shepherd's hut was super privateand the bed was really comfy, plus the shower outshined ours at home! Our dog Malcolm had a great time too. We found a lovely local pub that did takeaways, which was perfect for enjoying the scenery. The hot tub was a real highlightand the only sounds we heard were wildlife-total bliss!
Ben - Aug 2023
The location is stunning, perfect for long dog walksand the cabin had all we needed for a comfy weekend. The hot tub with the log fire was the cherry on top. Highly recommend!
Emma - Aug 2023
We had a lovely 3-night break here, with our two dogsand it was just what we needed. The location is stunningand the shepherd’s hut is cosy enough for a short stay. The kitchenette is a bit tight, so don’t expect to cook big meals, but it’s perfect for snacks and simple dishes. We were a bit unsure about the privacy of the hot tub since it’s near the main path, but it didn’t ruin our trip. The nearby town’s only 10 minutes away, plenty of shops to explore. Overall, a really nice stay, thanks!
Emma - Jul 2023
Great spot, really well decorated and perfect for our stay. We definitely want to return!
Jamie - May 2023
Lovely spot with plenty of sunshine and privacy all day. The only thing is the peacocks were a bit loud in the mornings and evenings.
Emma - May 2023
Honestly, this place is fantastic for unwinding. The shepherd’s hut is cosy but has everything you need. Sitting in the hot tub with views of the vine fields and rolling hills is just perfect-so peaceful and private. The shower is greatand there are plenty of big towels. If you're after a proper break and to recharge, this spot hits the mark. Totally worth every penny. We loved it! Thanks so much!
James - May 2023
We had an amazing time staying in the Shepherds Hut. The scenery was breathtakingand the owners were super friendly. It was quick to get to nearby townsand the cosy place really helped us unwind. Definitely a lovely week away!
Oliver - Apr 2023
We loved our stay at the Hot Tub Retreat! It’s super cosy and peaceful, perfect for escaping the hustle. We truly enjoyed our little wedding bubbleand the privacy was just what we needed. Highly recommend!
Sophie - Apr 2023
We had such a chilled stay! The hot tub was fantasticand everything was spotless and super comfy. Gorgeous views too!
James - Oct 2022
My partner, our two elderly dogsand I had such a relaxing stay at the Hot Tub Retreat. We visited in October, probably quieter since it’s harvest time, but it’s still a working vineyard after all. The place was just as described, no surprises there. We’d definitely return - the best part was watching the buzzards and kites soaring above. Honestly, it’s a lovely spot for a peaceful breakand we loved every minute of it!
Emma - Sep 2022
We spent a wonderful week in a charming shepherd's hut tucked away on a stunning bit of land. It was so peacefuland Emily and Andrew were genuinely lovely hosts. The hut was small but super cosyand it had everything we needed for a great stay.
Emma - Aug 2022
We had a fantastic time at the Shepards Hut! It’s such a lovely spot for a quiet getawayand our dog adored it too. Beautiful scenery, cosy surroundingsand some great pubs nearby. We’ll be back for sure!
Emily Parker - Aug 2022
We stayed at this charming little cottage and honestly, it was just what we needed. The place is simple but has everything you could ask for, including a lovely hot tub. The surroundings are breathtaking-so peaceful, quietand perfect for walks. We enjoyed stargazing and listening to the owls. The hosts are lovely and friendlyand the sheep neighbours, especially Denzel, made it extra special. Only downside was the IKEA toilet, but it’s not a big deal. Would definitely recommend!
Alex - Jul 2022
We had a lovely 4-night break. The hot tub with logs was a real highlight for relaxation. Loved the stunning vineyard views and the many footpaths to wander. Emily made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay.
Jess - Jul 2022
We really enjoyed our midweek break here with our dog. The hut was spotless, cosyand beautifully decorated - it felt very private too. Emily kindly gifted us two peacocks eggs, which were absolutely delicious! The hot tub was a highlight; heating it up before heading out meant it was just right when we returned. Sitting outside to watch the sunset was such a peaceful way to end the day. Overall, a lovely stay, we’d definitely recommend it!
Emma - Jun 2022
We absolutely loved the place! The decor was gorgeous and it had everything we needed plus more. The hot tub and shower were fantasticand the views-birds, butterflies, red kitesand yellow hammers-were simply stunning. It’s a perfect spot for a walk to Selborne, with dog-friendly pubs nearby. Can’t wait to try the wine once it’s ready!
