"We stayed here for new year and it was perfect. Lodge is fitted out with lovely fixtures and fittings. Only thing we had trouble with was getting the towel rails to work in 2 of the bedroomswe didnt succeed.And the only thing I didnt like was the fact that you can see into the opposite lodge and they could see into ours so theres not much privacy. I would suggest putting some privacy screening up.Other than that I would definitely recommend and am sure well be back"

"Absolutely loved how well maintained and equipped this cottage is. Plenty of dog walks right on the doorstep. Very friendly host, they were so efficient and communication was excellent. Great walks across the fields to the local village of Thaxted and of course within easy travelling distance of the village, replete with half-timbered houses and windmill. "

The location was ideal too with plenty of walks to find and Thaxted and surrounding villages are lovely places to visit. "Stayed here for a week from 15 to 22 July with our 2 mini daschund girls who thoroughly enjoyed there stay making new friends in the village of thaxted. The cottage is lovely especially the hot tub a bonus as it was the hottest days of the year so the water was coolled so it was more refreshing the hosts were very welcoming was nice to see there horses being taken to the fields each day you are on the flight path near stansted but I enjoyed watching the planes come in would definitely recommend "
