Tilford Woods Lodge Retreat Reviews

"Very comfortable and cosy. Would loved to have stayed longer. Very peaceful. Unfortunately we didn't have time to explore the area but it is beautiful."
Verified Guest - Dec 2024
"If you stay you wont regret it"
Verified Guest - Nov 2024
"Our lodge was beautiful, very clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything you could need including complimentary washing up liquid and a tea towel. The hot tub was wonderful and bed was very comfortable. We had some issues with the shower on arrival however, these were quickly resolved by Adam who was so kind and helpful. Very close proximity to a beautiful pub next door which serves excellent food. I would highly recommend and we already can't wait to return."
Mercedes - Nov 2024
"Excellent location, had everything you need! Ideally break away!"
Verified Guest - Nov 2024
"Another great stay @ Tilford Woods Lodge Retreat. Everything you need all under one roof and the Hot Tub as always was a bonus. Our favourite place to unwind and relax every once in a while. We will be back and would recommend to anyone just wanting to escape the hustle and bustle. Lots to do in and around surrounding areas. Look forward to our next time @ Tilford Woods."
Rosie - Nov 2024
"Overall the lodge was clean and tidy and served it's purpose :)The reason for only 3 Stars was the lodge in parts was looking a little well used and tired. However, we had the quiet peaceful long weekend we required."
Bill - Oct 2024
"Clean, quiet lodge (except for the music from the pub on Sunday night) over looking the duck pond"
Verified Guest - Aug 2024
"The sofa was too soft which meant I sunk down into it and the bed was not comfortable for me either. This is important when you are staying for a week.I felt the products were cheap or overused and need updating. The decor was lovely otherwise."
Verified Guest - Aug 2024
"The large glass doors in the bedroom and sitting area allow the outdoors to come in, wherever you are in the lodge. You can sit for ages on the deck just taking in the view and watching the wildlife. Its quite a romantic ambiance and ideal for a quiet celebration for two."
Paul - Aug 2024
"This lodge has a lovely outlook over the pond, with ducks and waterfowl for neighbours. As already mentioned, this lodge could do with some maintenance and a little updating in places."
Glyn - Jul 2024
"The lodge had plenty of room for the three of us. Fridge/freezer, electric hob and microwave. This lodge doesn't have a washing machine, but we didn't need this for our four night stay. Modern looking bathroom."
Juliet - Jun 2024
"A comfortable lodge without any of the normal amenities you would expect in a premier lodge - not even a cafetiere - and looking quite tired. Lovely location"
Verified Guest - May 2024
"Great experience."
James Rooney - May 2024
"Great location next to the duck pond and very quiet and secluded.Lodge had everything you could need for a break away and extremely clean . The furniture is a little dated but, that did not distract from a very comfortable stay . Near to a love golf course with fantastic views and a good pub next door . Very good base for exploring all that the area has to offer ."
Jeanette - May 2024
"Some things could do with a little updating. We have been before and some of the welcome pack is now very basic i.e dishwasher tablets, biscuits etc are no longer provided"
Verified Guest - Apr 2024
"Lovely place to enjoy a weekend getaway. Peaceful and relaxing. Would highly recommend and would definitely go again."
Ross - Apr 2024
"Sofas too low. Stains on kitchen worktop bath too high for short person to climb into."
Marilyn - Apr 2024
"Every thing was clean and comfortable. More than enough space to relax. Wi-Fi was good. We enjoyed the sauna and hot tub which just added to the relaxation."
Robert - Apr 2024
"Cosy, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Peaceful site. The lodge was warm and the bathroom modern with fluffy white towels. The decor is a little dated but we expected that from the other reviews wed read."
Verified Guest - Mar 2024
"What a lovely place, first time I took my dogs on holiday and it was a great success. Lovely cabin and surroundings. Staff are helpful and friendly will definitely be back, it was a hit with the grandkids too."
Verified Guest - Mar 2024
"Really pretty area, loads of birds around Lodge was well equipped We took selection of dvds with us for movie nightsShop in reception with a few essentials available Lovely walks to Frensham pond Pub on the corner of road as you turn in, but it wasnt noisy, its very busy for food, thats a good sign of good food, I didnt actually eat , I just had drinks and a handy cut through just past reception from Tilford to pub"
Suzanne - Mar 2024
"We stayed in the Lodge in January. The staff were friendly and helpful. The Lodge was pristine inside, very clean and warm. It was well equipped with all the items that we needed. It was in a superb location, overlooking the duck pond, which gave us the tranquillity that we wanted at that time. Although we weren't there to explore the surrounding area, we found the overall position of the site excellent, as a base to get to other places. The park is directly next to the golf course, which allows you immediate access to a quiet, woodland walk. There is a small shop on site that was well stocked with all basic items. Our stay in Lodge 3 was in the best location of the park, overlooking the pond. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway."
TraceyKP - Feb 2024
"The whole Lodge had everything we could wish for, even down to washing up liquid, tea, milk, and coffee sachets. The lodge was immaculate in every area. The bed was a small double I felt."
Lisa - Feb 2024
"Very nice log cabin, in a lovely location, and close to charming historic towns. Lots of ducks to feed with seeds from the kiosk. Great memories. Thank you."
Yvonne McAndrew - Jan 2024
"Lodge ready early, staff polite and helpful very relaxing"

Verified Guest - Dec 2023
"Lovely three night stay. Great location. Lots to see in the area."
Maree - Nov 2023
"The Tilford ladies (and gents) are always so welcoming, and it's refreshing to be somewhere where you see familiar faces year in year out. We've all faced challenges getting back to 'normal', and while things were not quite as usual, you could clearly blame COVID-19 for any shortcomings (games consoles removed from the lodges, no tea/coffee/biscuits etc). We have visited Tilford 6 years in a row now, and they go the extra mile to make sure everything's right. It's a peaceful spot, just far enough away from everything that you're not disturbed; but near enough that you don't feel too isolated...even if your car DOES break down the moment you arrive! :'("
James - Aug 2020
"Excellent would love to come again."
Carole - Aug 2020
"A wonderful mid-week family break. Tranquil and peaceful - a perfect way to unwind. We filled out days with Go Ape at Alice Holt Woods; walking there and along Basingstoke canal; swimming, lunch and exploring in Guildford; On the beach at Bournemouth; and relaxed in the evening in our lovely lodge or a short safe stroll to the Duke of Cambridge pub"
Kelly - Aug 2022
"We loved our holiday here, I would highly recommend it. Lovely accommodation, it was one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed at."
Laura - Aug 2022
"I had such a wonderful and enjoyable holiday. Our lodge was very clean. Definitely would recommend a stay and will be booking again. If you need a break from it all. This is it. Beautiful surroundings to be seen too."
Rosemary - Aug 2022
"Tilford Woods Lodge Retreat is a delightful retreat set in lovely rural English countryside, with a profusion of ducks, next to Hankley Common golf course and the Duke of Cambridge pub. I would thoroughly recommend it."
Linda - Jul 2022
"Excellent park, that is tranquil and well maintained. Staff are excellent and one of the few helpful people who helped us out with a major issue we had on holiday. Beautiful location but a car is essential. Wifi is excellent, included and unrestricted."
Enda - Jul 2022
"Lovely peaceful holiday in a clean and well equipped lodge"
Lorraine - Jul 2022
"The lodge was extremely clean as were the towels and sheets. If I had one complaint it would be the dishwasher had food around the drain. Otherwise great break"
Janice - Jul 2022
"It was fantastic from start to finish with a lovely welcoming ? It was Pristine and had everything you needed. Will certainly go their again!!"
