Cherry Tree Lodge Welburn Reviews

Oliver - Oct 2024
We had a fantastic stay! The place is super cosy, beautifully decoratedand really comfortable. The location is lovely, with plenty to explore nearby. The attached cafe, Dogh, is amazing - their food is top-notch. If you're there on the third Friday, don’t miss their special dinner, it’s seriously one of the best we’ve ever had. Hosts were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make us feel at home.
Emma Harper - Oct 2024
We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge. It’s beautifully decorated with lots of thoughtful touches that made us feel at home. The outdoor seating was super comfy, even when it was a bit chilly outside, thanks to the Bluetooth speaker system which added a nice vibe. Parking was a bit tricky-maneuvering the car was quite difficult-so we left it on the road nearby. Overall, a lovely spot for exploring the area!
Emma Clarke - Sep 2024
We had a lovely stay at this cottage. It’s super well situated, making it easy to explore the local area and enjoy plenty of walks starting right from the doorstep. The nearby Cafe Dogh became our go-to spot for coffee, cakeand even takeaways - really hits the spot! The owners were so friendly and helpful, checking in on us after the village had a power cut. There’s lots to see nearby, both inland and along the coast, making it a perfect base for a relaxing trip. We’d definitely come back!
Alex - Sep 2024
The cottage was lovely, really well kept and comfortable. The hosts were super friendly and went out of their way to help. The outdoor space is great, especially in the sun. Definitely recommend this place!
Emma - Aug 2024

Emma - Jun 2024
We had a lovely stay in this charming village! The location is perfect, right near the Dogh cafe and the Crown and Cushion pub - both fantastic spots. The lodge was super comfy and had everything we needed, plus the welcome pack was a nice touch - we devoured it all! Sadly, we didn’t get a chance to try the pizza oven this time, but the outdoor space was great, especially with the heatwave. The owners were really helpful and just a call away. Big thanks to Ryan too! Definitely recommend.
Tom - Apr 2024
We stayed at a really lovely place with all the essentials we needed. The pizza oven was a nice touch, perfect for relaxing evenings. Sadly, the weather didn’t cooperate, so we didn’t get to enjoy sitting outside under the stars with some music, which would’ve been perfect. The location was spot on for exploring North Yorkshire, especially with Castle Howard just a short walk away. Big thanks to the hosts for their warm welcome and being so helpful. We’ll definitely return!
Emma - Mar 2024
Absolutely loved the lodge’s stunning decor and cosy vibe. The welcome treats were a lovely surprise. Can’t wait to come back soon!

Emma Carter - Nov 2023
Cherry Tree Lodge really hit the spot for us. We took my aunt’s 80th there and everyone loved it. The place is super cosy and roomy enough for four adults, with loads of space to cook, dineand chill out, whether indoors or outside when the weather’s nice. Everything’s finished to a high standardand we felt right at home. Sarah was lovely, greeting us warmly and checking in later. We’re already looking forward to coming back!
Oliver - Sep 2023
We had a lovely stay at Cherry Tree Lodge for four daysand it really felt like a peaceful retreat. The place is super cosy and well kitted out, perfect for relaxing couples. The highlight was definitely the patio with the wood-fired pizza oven-so much fun! We loved exploring the nearby walks, including a trip to Castle Howard. The owners’ café, Dogh, offers fantastic produceand the pub just across the road serves good food too. Malton’s only ten minutes away, with plenty of cafes and restaurants. We’re already planning to come back!
