The local village is Bubwith (1 mile away) has a post office, off licence, general store, The Jug and Bottle, which, as the name suggests, serves flagons of beer to take back to your lodge, and is also a delicatessen, an Indian restaurant/takeaway. The nearest small towns are Howden and Pocklington which have all the expected services.
