Tydd St Giles Resort Reviews

"Enjoyed our stay, the lodge was very nice and comfortable, also adequatly equipped . The site was clean and tidy and the reception/ club house / cafe was also clean and comfortable, we never ate there but we did partake of a couple of beers. We never used the gym but it did look modern and well equipped and there were a few people using it. We did use the pool and steam room once again these were clean well maintained and very relaxing."

"loved the total experience"
Peter - Aug 2018
"A lovely quiet location. We as a family don't play golf, but still had a great time at this resort. Being in a quiet corner, was extra special, near the lake. Our accommodation, is the best lodge we have been in for the price, ever. Storage was superb.

Only thing to improve is to have a small shop near main reception. To buy essential items like, bread, milk, butter, etc.

Very relaxing break, thank you."
Hitesh - Aug 2018
"We had a great time at Tydd St Giles. Generally the place was quiet and spacious. It looked well kept and tidy. The staff were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed eating in the restaurant on Sunday.
Tydd St Giles is a bit of a drive to a beach but they were worth driving to. There were many other attractions for us to go to eg the Lavender farm and Sandringham."
Judy - Aug 2018
"Very clean. Had all the amenities needed for a self catering break."
Nicola - Jan 2018
"Carpets need replacing in bedrooms"
Kay - Dec 2017

Otherwise -10/10 for everything else.

"Fantastic lodges superb fishing cannot wait to return ."
Patricia - May 2016
"Would have been extremely nice to have free Wi-Fi included in the lodge."
Valerie - May 2016
"Country home was very comfortable. The only criticism would be the lodge slept 6 people but there was only a two seater sofa and two armchairs. Fortunately as there was only two of us it didn't matter but if we came with the family next time it might be an issue! Apart from that the accommodation was excellent and we wished we were staying longer."
Claire - Mar 2016
"Good location and comfortable, well-equipped accommodation. Only criticism is the publicity of on-site facilities during off peak season - booked expecting restaurant to be available all the time but this was not the case and would have appreciated knowing this before booking. Good value for money."
Gill - Feb 2016
"Excellent but no towels provided"
Jonny - Jan 2016
"The Lodge was very comfortable. The only couple of things that could have improved the vacation to perfect were that it would have been nice to have a washing machine in the Lodge and also for towels to be provided."
Andy - Dec 2015
"Lovely place spotless clean fishing was only let down not for the serious fisherman"
Philip - Jul 2022
"Lovely peaceful place to stay with wildlife on your doorstep (ducks & ducklings etc) Nice evening walks, swimming pool was great set at a lovely warm temperature. Staff very helpful. Only small negative is there were no towels."
Clare - Jun 2022
"Nice quiet place."
Clifford - May 2022
"Wonderful relaxing holiday. The lodge was home from home and very comfortable. The only negative point is that the decking needs a refurb as looking a bit worn. Also for the lodge to be fitted with blackout curtains in the bedrooms."
Denise - May 2022
"All staff were very cheerful and helpful. However, it was quite difficult getting a meal. The availability times were very restricted."
Richard - May 2022
"Lovely place very peaceful. Had a really nice time."
Lorraine - Apr 2022
"We had a very nice week and played a lot of golf!"
Peter - Apr 2022
"Pleasant location, ideal for a quiet break. Based ourselves here to attend gigs in Cambridge & Norwich and had a great week."
PAUL - Apr 2022
"Fabulous resort, exactly what was needed. Which was peace and quiet in a lovely setting. The facilities were immaculate and the staff were fantastic. The only recommendation I could make would be for the club house/restaurant to be open later maybe to 7 or 8pm to allow for an evening meal. Other than that it was fantastic"

Attractions Near Tydd St Giles Resort

Here are some of the activities and experiences you can enjoy on your visit to Tydd St Giles Resort. If you discover a worthy inclusion to this list on your hot tub break, please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too.
Natureland Seal Sanctuary - PE25 1DB
about 30 Miles
Awarded the Lincolnshire Family Attraction of the Year award in recent years this fun day out is recommended. You can see seals and penguins, as well as other animals in the popular pets corner.  Feeding time for the seals and penguins is the real highlight of the day. Entertainment, education and conservation are the main aims of this attraction. Natureland's work with abandoned baby seals has become known worldwide and it's carefully researched rearing and treatment program is now used by many other rescue centres.
Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens - NR21 0LN
about 32 Miles
if you and your family are interested in nature and wildlife then Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens is the perfect place for a day out. This beautiful area of national parkland is home to a huge range of common and rare birds from sparrows to Red Crowned Cranes and also has a red squirrel enclosure - part of a conservation programme and now home to a family of adorable squirrels. Other activities to enjoy at Pensthorpe include pond dipping and Landrover discovery tours. Pensthorpe also played host to BBC'S Springwatch in 2010.
Melsop Farm Park - NR20 3DT
about 35 Miles
We love this attraction in Scoulton, Norfolk with a great collection of animals.  Children and adults alike have the chance to get hands on with the animals in the special handling areas.  On rainy days there is always the indoor play area for the little ones and when it's time for a bite to eat the cafe on the farm is open all day selling drinks and snacks.  Hot food is available over lunch times.
National Horse Racing Museum - CB8 8JL
about 35 Miles
This is a museum with a difference and a must see if you are into horse racing.  You can take guided tours around the museum or choose to wander round yourself admiring the exhibits.  New for 2010 is a Junior Fun Tour which is ideal for children.  Simply ask the gallery staff for a Fun Tour pack when you enter the museum and kids can answer questions and spot clues and tips on the way round.  One of the most popular recent exhibitions is the Thoroughbred: State of the Art exhibition in Gallery 5 on until 31st October.  Check out their websites for the latest exhibitions.
