Cleveland Hills View Holiday Park Reviews

"Average at best for facilities, a little expensive for what we got"
Mike - Apr 2024
"Everything perfect apart from no WiFi."
Verified Guest - Mar 2024
"Couldnt get a taxi from that location so if you fancy a drink at a local pub think again. Was told the hot tub would be topped up daily which didnt happen even though I messaged the owner and told me he would be there but never turned up.Stains on bedding but luckily took our ownWill not be returning or recommending"
Verified Guest - Mar 2024
"Amazing facilities and private hot tub makes it stand out"
Devis - Mar 2024
"We stayed in regency lodge. The lodge was not clean mugs were dirty and there was a bad smell through out the lodge not to mention the hot tub. There are no sanitary bins in any bathroom which is a basic necessity. The TV screen had lines running through it when turned on. The mattress was cheap you could feel the springs in your back. We brought food for the couple of nights which then got frozen in the fridge. It just doesnt have a homely comfort feeling. The location is perfect for people who enjoy the out doors and mark was helpful upon arrival"
Verified Guest - Mar 2024
"The lodge was clean and tidy and was very worth the money."
Jake - Mar 2024
"Enjoyable few days away to spend with family Just what the doctor ordered"
Verified Guest - Mar 2024
"Lovely place with stunning view"
John - Feb 2024
"The place was lovely but was a bit outdated! The hosts were friendly and showed you around the lodge! The hot tub was a bit small for 3 of us too. Shower didnt drain properly & the extractor fan above the oven was leaking water!"
Verified Guest - Jan 2024
"A lovely relaxing vacation in a lovely well kept area"
Verified Guest - Jan 2024
"We were very sceptical prior to our break having read other reviews, but honestly we need not have worried. Maybe just the time of year we went but no flies at all! The lodge was lovely and clean, yes there were some tired and worn areas, such as the sofa and a few other imperfections including small cracks in doors (filled and painted) the lodge also lack some essentials such as scissors, pizza cutter, oven trays, oven gloves/tongs, a side table in living room would also have been nice. The mattress was a bit soft for us but bedding again lovely and clean. The Teesdale lodge is one of the biggest we have stayed in and the hot tub was a great addition, we again had an issue with this, but mark quickly rectified. We had a great relaxing Christmas break away, avd would definitely return."
Donna - Dec 2023
"Nice and clean lodges hot tub was nice and clean bed was comfortable all in all good experience"
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"Dirty very few utensils the hit tub had a mouldy lid that's was all ripped and peices of it in the hot tub so could not use it the water smelt awful"
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"Quiet and peaceful stayed in November 1923 aged 61,and 63"
John - Nov 2023
"See info of flies flies flies on most reviews, bit of a trend here , at least try combat to make stay more pleasant!!!"
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"We had a fantastic time at the lodge, very spacious and well equipped, the hot tub was amazing. The only thing that bothered us was the fridgeit smelt like off cheese/milk which was very very bad and as it was warm that week we was there think this made it worse, this really does need changing. Apart from hthat we had a fab time."
Danielle - Jan 1970
"This park is pristine!! The lodges are so spaced out so privacy is key. They are clean, cosy and quiet. The area is secluded however the nearest pub is a 15 minute walk and the nearest tesco is about an 18 minute drive along with a marstons pub. Whitby is about a 50 minute drive away but worth every second of the journey. Ive never enjoyed a stay more than I did this one. I had the ladies number of whom we contacted for check in and she was absolutely delightful to deal with. She offered to top up the hot tub half way through the stay and granted us use of our disposable barbecue. I recommend this play to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway. See you soon!!!"
Nicole - Jan 1970
"Loved the lodge perfect little getaway for me, my partner and our dog. It offered everything we expected, would definitely come again."
Emily - Jan 1970
"Lodge clean and modern"
Christopher - Jan 1970
"Hot tub was very relaxing and kept clean daily, very modern and clean accommodation."
Kim - Jan 1970
"Lovely lodge. Peaceful setting. Near to moors and Whitby. Plenty storage space. Family sized fridge/freezer and washing machine a big bonus. Small minus. Could do with small coffee table for cuppas and place mats/coasters to protect table. Was a bit more expensive than I usually pay."
Susan - Jan 1970
"Upon arrival we were extremely happy with the facility and cleanliness of the cabin. Was perfect for 2 people!"
Kieran - Jan 1970
"Bed wasn't comfy, couch wasn't comfy! Loved hot tub and rest of it was good"
Jeanette - Jan 1970
"Such a lovely lodge in a beautiful place! Hot tub is also very nice! Yarm is about a 10 minute drive (or taxi journey) away from the park where there is a variety of shops, restaurants, pubs & cocktail bars! Lovely local pub a 15 minute walk away from the lodge called Wheatsheaf inn that does amazing food.
Kerry was very helpful with the instructions to check in & on recommendations of local places to eat! Would definitely stay again :)"
Emily - Jan 1970
"Four of us stayed in this lodge for four nights. On arriving we were hugely surprised by the size of it, and how modern it was. There was plenty of space and storage for us all, notably with there being two bathrooms, large kitchen with two sinks, large fridge freezer, and plenty of seating. The hot tub was also an excellent addition! The patio area wasnt particularly big or overly private however this didnt bother us as the park was very quiet and we really appreciated being able to easily access/use the large open grass space that the patio backed onto.

Kerry was on hand on the park were we to need anything and also ensured our hot tub had the chlorine and water topped up. We really appreciated this, so thank you.

There are a few minor things wed flag about the property and tell people booking for the first time; largely that it is missing a few basic amenities and features which wouldve been useful. From the confirmation email we werent 100% sure whether certain things would be included (if we did we wouldve ensured we packed them), so we thought it was worth nothing. Above anything, this property did NOT provide towels (not even hand towels)- just a tea towel. Secondly, some bits of useful cutlery was missing, for example scissors and a spatula. There was the added bonus of a dishwasher and tablets, however no sponge and barely any washing up liquid. This wouldve been massively useful as we didnt want to put the dishwasher on just to wash a few glasses etc. There was also no disinfectant spray or cloth for us to keep the kitchen clean during our stay but also in a decent state when we checked out. Fortunately, we took our own surface wipes. It wouldve also been handy to have had a mop for this same reason (there was just a dustpan and brush). In addition to this, the lodge has a washing machine (youd need to take your own detergent) which was great, however there was no clothes airer, washing line or hooks on the backs of the doors to hang clothes to dry on. We made do hanging stuff over the wooden fence around our patio and over the bath, but its worth bearing in mind if youre staying during the winter or if youre intending to do a huge wash. Finally, it may be useful to know there are no cooking items such as tinfoil, salt and pepper, sugar, oil etc. This didnt bother us (we took some of these items) but again if this is something you would need during your stay, take them! These are all really minor points and things we overcame, but for the price we paid (over £1,000) and in comparison to other lodges weve stayed in, we were expecting some of them.

Overall we had a fantastic time and would 100% stay again. We loved Yarm highstreet (£15 in a taxi each way) and also discovered another small village about ten minutes in the opposite direction (had a Co-Op if we needed additional supplies). Whitby and Runswick Bay were also not too far away."
Sophie - Jan 1970
"The lodge was brand new so in excellent condition. We turned up with no towels as in the original confirmation it said that towels were included but we then noticed that this had changed in a later email. The lodge could do with some extra furnishings like a set of side tables for the living area and maybe some lamps. We still had a great stay and would go back"
Garry - Jan 1970
"The lodge was fab and spotless when we arrived"
Chris - Jan 1970
"Lovely clean cabins, bathroom extremely small and bed frames very flimsy but would definitely come again"
Thomas - Jan 1970
"Hot tub small but every thing else great its a shame theres no reception but the park is lovely needs bigger hot tubs in the four persons lodges there tiny"
Michelle - Jan 1970
"We stayed at this lodge and we loved everything about it the staff were super friendly and it was kept clean.
I would like to say a special thank you to Kerry as she really looked after us."
Paul - Jan 1970
"Such a lovely little holiday park. It was perfect for our few nights away, in a peaceful area and no noise from other cabins due to the space between them."
Alex - Jul 2022
"Perfect safe place staff were really friendly and so helpful. The site and lodge was clean and quiet. Great place to rest and then travel out to nearby villages and Whitby beach. Definitely recommend"
Gregg - Jul 2022
"We had a fabulous mini break here last weekend. We loved the location and the hot tub. Nice and relaxing and not too busy. Lodges have a good amount of space between them. Would definitely like to return."
Verified Guest - Jul 2022
"Very nice mini lodge. Just some small things like no mirror in bathroom."
Muneer - Jul 2022
"we enjoyed our break the only thing i would say is the sofa is really uncomfortable to sit on if you want to watch TV on an evening and there was only 1 chair on the decking with the table so if there is 2 of you that is not much good but other than that it was a lovely break we only saw a staff member once but kerry was always on the end of a text message if needed."
