Box Tree Escapes Reviews

Jill - Nov -0001
Nice size lodge enjoyed our stay. Lovely views across fields. Everyone enjoyed the Hot tub. You can order home deliveries which helps as no near shops.
Leanne - Nov -0001
We have arrived back home from a week stay on Friday 29th July and I would just like to say that myself and family were quite disappointed with the site and accommodation. We did not feel what was advertised was a true reflection of the site. We did not expect to have to tell the children to stay away from rubbish and the remains of old pods as there was broken plastic, large screws etc. We were also disappointed with the amount of problems we came across in the lodge which we spoke to owner about. We shouldn't have had to lock the door with a chair, have a bedroom door with 1 handle or not be able to have a bath because it didnt keep water in. We even had to turn a mattress over as the springs were poking through and that is to only list a few. So disappointing.
Deena - Nov -0001
We had a fantastic stay. There were a couple of small problems but were sorted out immediately. I will definitely be recommending Box Tree Escapes. Theres only one little thing to note and that is the lack of hanging space for clothes in the room with bunk beds. The room isnt big enough for a wardrobe but maybe a hanging bar behind the door on the wall instead.Fantastic stay and we will be rebooking
Leila - Nov -0001
Amazing stay, beautiful accommodation and Ian was always on hand if we needed something. Already cant wait to return!
Neale - Nov -0001
Great location and facilities. Freshly laid stoned drive was issue as brought white staining into cabin. No mop for floor. However am sure once rolled and sealed will remove issue. We had a great weekend break, first time whole family been together since last summer, so was great to see them all laughing etc. More memories made, photos taken.
Kimberley - Nov -0001
We had a lovely stay over Christmas, can't fault the accommodation or Ian, both we're amazing, it had everything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
Kayleigh - Nov -0001
Lovely place to stay, me and my family loved it and had such a lovely weekend. Owner was helpful if we needed some help. 100 recommend!
Harjinder - Nov -0001
This place was a wonderful find for us. It ticked all the boxes for a relaxing holiday. Ian was great from the moment we got there he welcomed us and made us feel at home. The place is well equipped with the essentials and fisied off at a high standard. Remote and private so you can chill out and enjoy the hottub without any issues. Would highly recommend this place a lovely family resort
Carol - Nov -0001
We had a wonderful stay at the roeburn lodge with the family for my 65th birthday. It was a wonderful place and had everything we needed for a great stay. The owner was very friendly and helpful and we would definitely think about returning! A lovely, relaxing, cosy place to stay!
Anthony - Nov -0001
Directions on how to access the property could be improved but other than that everything was exactly what we wanted and we had a great time.
Michelle - Nov -0001
The lodge was excellent. Really nicely presented and laid out. Great location. Excellent facilities. Lovely views and very quiet. Nice finishing touches in the decoration. Owner was very helpful to us prior to arrival and whilst on site.We were a group of 8 friends and it was ideal for us Highly recommended. We will return!

Lakeland Wildlife Oasis - LA6 1JH
about 7 Miles
Located in the Milnthorpe area of Cumbria we love this local attraction.  With an eclectic mix of fascinating wildlife and hands on displays this centre is educational as well as fun.  You can wander around at leisure admiring the exhibits which range from chameleons to computers. Some of the most threatened species are kept at the park as part if international breeding programmes.  Check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs which are great value for money.  There are discounts for pre-booked parties of 12 or more.
Happy Mount Park - LA4 5AQ
about 11 Miles
Happy Mount Park has attractions for the whole family including several play areas, a miniature railway, crazy golf, putting green and trampolines, there is also a paddling pool where the little ones can splash around in the summer and a café where the adults can relax with a drink. During the summer months and especially during school holidays live music can often be enjoyed.
Bowland Wild Boar Park - PR3 2QT
about 15 Miles
Head for the Bowland Wild Boar park and we don't think you will be disappointed.  A popular attraction in Preston there is so much to do for the whole family.  From picnics, walks and wildlife to experiencing feeding the animals you are sure to have a memorable day out.  Also popular is the kids tractor play area.  For rest and relaxation the cafe is ideal serving hot drinks and snacks with a lovely view over the pond and wildlife feeding station.  The Forest of Bowland has been declared an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
South Lakes Safari Zoo - LA12 0LU
about 23 Miles

This is an amazing Cumbria attraction well known locally as well as nationally for how close you can get to the animals.  Described as the most interactive animal park in Europe it's well worth a visit if you are staying in the area.  Open from April to end October some of the highlights are the tigers, penguins, bears, hippos and rhinos.  At 2pm during certain seasons it's feeding time so don't forget to plan your day around this so you can watch the animals enjoying their feed.  Look out for seasonal events such as Halloween Zoo Boo (free entry for kids in fancy dress) and The Magic of Christmas.

Rydal Mount & Gardens - LA22 9LU
about 27 Miles
Rydal Mount & Gardens are wonderfully situated between Lake Windermere and Rydal Water offering breathtaking scenery. The home of William Wordsworth from 1813 - 1850 the grand home is now lived in by the poets descendents but parts of the house and grounds are open to the public. Why not take a guided tour and see the rooms where many of the famous poems were written. The gardens are beautiful at all times of the year but in the summer offer a spectacular display of colour. There is also a gallery and a tearoom. Discounts are available for group bookings.
Ullswater Steamers - CA11 0US
about 31 Miles
This is an award winning Lake District attraction and they have been operating cruisers on Lake Ullswater for over 150 years.  There is no better way to explore the lakes than on water and you could even combine a cruise with a spectacular walk.  For great days out in this region then this attraction is highly recommended and will appeal to couples as well as families.  Corporate groups are also well catered for.
