"Lovely lodge in peaceful surroundings yet close to many walks and places to visit Would highly recommend whether you want a totally relaxing stay or use as a base to explore the area."

"Evernia was again great as like the other lodges."
Patrick - Aug 2020
"Lodge is in a great location. There are only a few lodges and they are all secluded."
Kathryn - Aug 2020
"Lovely lodge with private hot tub and sauna. Cosy little log burner (inside) surround sound in the lodge. Little bird feeder right outside on the front, you can literally sit on the decking and watch the wildlife. We saw squirels, a number of different types of birds, rabbits and even a hedgehog. Has a double bath and a huge 4 post bed.
Just an all round amazing lodge and would highly recommend to anyone for any occassion."
Stephan - Aug 2020
"Our 2nd stay at this lodge. Had a lovely stay but, in 3 years the decking areas haven't been maintained to the 5 star rating this lodge deserves. Grounds looked a bit overgrown . Just needs a little TLC.
The lodge was spotless, all COVID standards were covered. Couldn't fault the interior just the exterior.
Having said that we would stay again at Springwood just may try a different lodge."
Elizabeth - Aug 2020
"If you are looking for peace and quiet and let the world go by this is the place. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly go back"
David - Aug 2020
"The lodge itself was well equipped and spacious, with 2 en-suite bathrooms, kitchen / diner and separate lounge, plus terrace and hot tub+ Sauna.

The only minor niggle is that there were not really enough plates and cutlery, so we ran the dishwasher half-full most of the time, and one light switch was broken on arrival, which we reported to the hot tub people."
Alan - Aug 2020
"Always have the best time here! Our little piece of paradise."
Dawn - Jul 2020
"Everything at the lodge was great Prosecco on arrival chocolates both complimentary ver clean and the hot tub and sauna were its class."
Sean - Jul 2020
"A really relaxing break. Very clean and all Covid19 measures taken. We felt very safe in the accommodation."
Allison - Jul 2020
"We will definitely be back - sooner rather than later "
David - Jul 2020
"Summary: peaceful, idyllic and relaxing lodge site and a wonderful, comfortable lodge

We have just returned for a wonderful four-night stay in 'Lilleskov' lodge. This lodge has everything you need; just bring food and clothes, that's all you need!

In these worrying times with Covid19, it was clear that the lodge had been thoroughly cleaned and that all precautions to keep guests safe had been thought of. Antibacterial soap and sanitizer are both provided. The key to the lodge is kept in a key safe -- you are given the combination to this by email sent a couple of days before your arrival date -- this means on arrival access to the lodge is 'contactless'. The hot tub is checked daily (between 10 and 11am).

There are only five lodges and the adult-only site is very tranquil; sit still on the patio and very shortly you will soon see birds and squirrels feeding. We even saw a hedgehog! Entertainment in the lodge consists of a decent TV with surround sound, a DVD player along with a good selection of DVD's and a selection of books. The hot tub is a great way to wind-down and sooth aching legs and back after a long hike! We didn't use the sauna, but it looked good. Instant and limitless hot water from the combi gas boiler ensures long showers are not a problem. The kitchen is well-equipped so cooking a full meal is not a problem at all.

The lodges are well-spaced apart but aim for 'Lilleskov' or 'Sneugle' which appear to offer the best privacy for the hot tub!

We have returned home very relaxed but sadly wishing we could have stayed longer. We highly recommend Spring wood Lodges and will be returning for another stay."
Duncan - Jul 2020
"An absolutely amazing stay in the Sneugle Lodge, July 2020. Tom and Caroline really have thought of everything, right from the lovely welcome with prosecco and chocolates.

Our lodge was immaculate and so private. We went for some fantastic walks and enjoyed Yorkshire's warm hospitality. It was exactly what we were looking for."
Melanie - Jul 2020
"Lodge is amazing very clean and tidy had sauna hot tub everything you need was a relaxing holiday"
Joanne - Mar 2020
"I one word

fantastic"
Kevin - Mar 2020
"Fabulous lodges would book again but will look when offers on"
Shorna - Feb 2020
"Beautiful cant wait to come back"
Elly - Feb 2020
"Great lodge, had a lovely break will return."
Peter - Feb 2020
"Spot on, would recommend to anyone looking for a rural get away with a touch of opulence."
Robert - Feb 2020
"The cabin was beautiful. The hot tub was kept clean. Beautiful surroundings, will 100% be going back"
Michael - Dec 2019
"Lovely and clean. Fab personal touches. Log fire amazing, very large hot tub."
Julie - Dec 2019
"There are a few minor items missing that would improve the experience:
- more plastic glasses for the hot tub that are not wine glasses (not everyone drinks wine)
- dinner plates that you can stand vertical in the dishwasher (last thing I want to do on this sort of holiday is hand washing)
- more highball and tumbler glasses (saves on putting the dishwasher on if not full)
- supply outside towels and robes
- amend the info book as there are a few out of date bits such as what to do with the key when you leave."
Carol - Dec 2019
"3rd visit so don't need to say more!"
Sonia - Dec 2019
"Excellent, relaxing break"
Fiona - Nov 2019
"Our 4th stay at this lodge. If the 2 of you want to kickback and relax in a peaceful location, you can't go wrong here."
Steven - Aug 2022
"Lovely setting and near to some of Yorkshire greatest places to visit such as knaresborough Nidderdale. Only issue we had was positioning of the hot tub near a low edge of the cabin roof which nearly knocked hubby out. Not much room around it."
Amanda - Jul 2022
"Another lovely week at Springwood ideal lodges for a relaxing time. Great to watch all the acrobatic squirrels and various species of our Birdlife on the feeders. It's our third time in Lilleskov Lodge and unable to fault it."
Kenneth - Jul 2022
"Nice secluded location. This lodge is brilliant with hot tub on the lower deck area making it totally private. Parts of the cabin could do with renewing such as the bathroom which is looking tired although it and the whole cabin was spotlessly clean. Would absolutely stay in grondal lodge again."
Matthew - Jul 2022
"We had an amazing stay here. We booked fairly last minute so we were unsure what to expect. The lodge was beautifully presented and well equipped. It is nestled in woodland and seems so private. The hot tub was perfect. So relaxing. We spent out days exploring the surrounding areas on foot. The local footpaths can be picked up really close to the lodge, so we found there was no need to drive to expererience some stunning views. We will definitely return!"
Jenny - Jun 2022
"Lodge is wonderfully located in private surroundings and very peaceful. We love Springwood lodges and have used 3 of the different lodges, with all of them being very well equipped and furnished well. We love the quiet and peaceful location. We would definitely recommend."
Cheree - Jun 2022
"It a lovely location, nice and quiet and plenty of wildlife to keep you occupied."
Peter - May 2022
"Stunning location. Peaceful and relaxing just what we needed would recommend to anyone and will be visiting again the loge was amazing"
Andrew - May 2022
"Beautiful setting ,very private and quiet Great spot to get out and about to the local attractions Cabin was pleasant, well equipped Hot tub and sauna were a very welcome treat Just two areas could be improved; Extra towels or robes for use with the sauna/hot tub The hall and the bedroom of the cabin smelt very fusty,so had to leave the windows open the whole time we were in ."
Amanda - May 2022
"Lovey area, not far off the beaten path! But very private and very quiet. Would go again."
