We love the North Yorkshire Moors – they have everything from beautiful sandy beaches and lively seaside resorts to tranquil countryside and quaint postcard villages. Blackwell Lodges with its luxurious log cabins with private hot tubs and superb facilities is the perfect base from which to explore the surrounding area.
Blackwell Lodges has its own bar and restaurant and an adventure playground for the children, so it is ideal for both couples and families. You’ll have an excellent choice of restaurants and bars in Stokesley, a quaint market town, just three miles away. Chapters Restaurant, at the foot of the North Yorkshire Moors, serves classic dishes in the restaurant for formal dining with a more laid back experience in the brasserie.
The Roseberry Lodge is superbly equipped and utterly contemporary. It sleeps six people and has a master bedroom with ensuite shower. Doors lead from the bedroom onto a private decking area with your own hot tub and beautiful views across the countryside. The kitchen and lounge are open plan and attention has been paid to every detail to ensure that this lodge is stylish, spacious and designed to the very highest standard.
Darlington and Thirsk are both within easy reach of Blackwell Lodges. Thirsk is a pretty market town with some charming shops, an excellent market – open on Mondays and Saturdays – an art gallery and ‘The World of James Herriot’. Take to the water at the Darlington Dolphin Centre, a swimming pool with diving boards and water slides, squash courts and a fully equipped gym. And you can enjoy some amazing walks in North Yorkshire, such as the Cleveland National Trail or the Abbey Walk at Helmsley.
