We love the Oak Premier Lodge 6 which sleeps up to six people. It has been fully interior designed and represents the height of luxury with magnificent views over the Loch Lomond National Park. The lodge has a verandah and outdoor barbecue area with its own private hot tub, a spacious living area and a flat screen TV in all three bedrooms.

Argyllshire and Islands is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where majestic landscapes, spectacular coastal scenery and lochside villages abound. Visitors to the area will love the superb walks and cycle paths. You could relive 500 years of turbulent Viking history at Vikingar in Largs – or head to Fins Seafood Restaurant in Fairlie for some delicious oysters, scallops and home-smoked salmon!

Hunters Quay Reviews

"Honestly, the heating keeps cutting out, which is a nightmare when its freezing outside. Having to reset the boiler every time you want heat is a pain, especially in winter. We did report it and an engineer came to fix it, so at least that was sorted. Still, its not ideal during Scottish winters."
Emma Clarke - Jan 2025
"Really enjoyed our stay, the caravan was fantastic, highly recommend!"
Emma Carter - Nov 2024
"We stayed at this lovely holiday park recently and really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and beautiful views. Its perfect if youre after a quiet escape, especially if you like scenery and some downtime. Our kids are under 5 and honestly, I felt the facilities for their age group were a bit limited. Apart from the swimming pool and some evening entertainment, there wasnt much to keep them busy, especially on a dull October week. We tried to book activities early in the week but found everything was fully booked by Wednesday-bit of an epic fail there! The power cut on our second day didnt help either; it meant the crazy golf, jumping pillows and pirate ship were all out of action. The pirate ship seemed more suited for older kids, probably six and up. We ended up exploring Dunoon and found a fab soft play centre run by the local council, which was great for the little ones and very reasonably priced. All in all, a peaceful spot but a bit limited for young kids during off-peak times."
Emma & Liam - Oct 2024
"We absolutely loved this caravan! Its like staying in a cosy lodge, really beautiful inside. Beds were super comfy, making our stay perfect. The interiors are stunning and very thoughtfully designed. Honestly, it felt like a home away from home. Well definitely be coming back!"
Emma - Oct 2024
"Our Hunters Quay review: We found the place quite disappointing overall. The cleanliness wasnt up to scratch-towels had stains and the hoovering seemed rushed. There were marks on the radiator and bits of food near the skirting. The outside could do with a proper jet wash. The bin placement was really annoying too!"
Emma Carter - Aug 2024
"We really enjoyed our stay here. The lodge was well-kept and spotless, which made us feel comfortable straight away. The shop on-site was handy and the staff were super friendly and approachable. Plus, Dunoons Morrisons is just a quick drive down the road!"
Emma - Aug 2024
"The place is pretty modern and spacious, with all the kitchen stuff you could possibly need. Nice stay!"
Alex - Aug 2024
"The caravan was tidy but didnt smell fresh at all. I get its dog-friendly, but stains and that lingering dog smell really put us off. Honestly, we expected it to be cleaner-just a bit disappointing overall."
James - Aug 2024
"Bathrooms look worn out and need some fixing up."
Emma Carter - Aug 2024
"We had a lovely stay at the gold caravan. The facilities were spot on, especially the well-stocked kitchen and the dishwasher-such a lifesaver! The living space was really roomy and the balcony with mountain views was a great spot to relax. The bathroom setup was convenient, with an ensuite and a main shower. Overall, a really nice place."
Emma Carter - Aug 2024
"We really enjoyed our stay at The Lodge. The views were absolutely stunning and the hot tub was spotless and well-maintained, perfect for unwinding in the evenings. The secure verandah was a big plus for the dog-great to let him sit out peacefully. The place could do with a bit of a refresh, but it was still nice and clean. Definitely recommend!"
Emma - Aug 2024
"Great caravan, but we struggled with the WiFi."
Emma - Aug 2024
"We really enjoyed our stay here, its a great spot for both kids and adults to relax. The outdoor activities like forest walks and swimming kept everyone busy and you occasionally spot a deer wandering around-its quite charming! The bar, arcade, crazy golf and soft play area on the pirate ship were all hits with the kids. The staff are super friendly and helpful, which makes all the difference. Only downside was the beds-ours sank in the middle, not ideal if youve got a sore back. Still, overall, a lovely place to stay!"
Emily - Jul 2024
"We really enjoyed our stay here! The rooms were beautifully furnished and kept spotless. The pools and changing areas were always clean and the wet bag they provided was a nice touch. The on-site restaurant served delicious food with friendly staff. Perfect spot for catching the ferry and exploring Dunoon. Definitely a place we'd come back to!"
Emma - Jul 2024
"We recently stayed four nights in what was supposed to be a luxury lodge for my big 50th celebration. Honestly, the living room was a bit of a letdown-sofa sagging and stained armrests, which definitely didnt scream luxury. The carpet was frayed in a few spots and I had to give the lino a sweep and the hoover a run just to make it decent. Ive contacted customer service about it, but still waiting for a reply after four weeks. Bit disappointing, really!"
Emma Jackson - Jul 2024
"The place was spotless and super cosy, plus the heating timer was a real bonus. Honestly, no complaints from us at all!"
Emma - Jun 2024
"The caravan was honestly the best we've seen in ages."
Jessica - Jun 2024
"Great stay, the kids adored the hot tub!"
Emma Carter - May 2024
"We've really enjoyed our stay here and are planning to return in September if my partner can get the time off. It's been one of the best trips we've had in a while!"
Emma Carter - May 2024
"We had a lovely weekend, the lodge was brilliant, especially the hot tub! Just a bit more cleaning needed inside."
Emma Carter - May 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay, the lodge was spotless and had all we needed."
Alex - May 2024
"Great park, friendly staff, well return again soon!"
Emma - May 2024
"The place was quite cramped for five of us and a dog, with barely any storage for heavy jackets. Only two pots and no carpet cleaning needed."
Emma Clarke - Apr 2024
"Really enjoyed the parks cleanliness and tidy surroundings, but its a shame dogs arent allowed inside."
Emily - Mar 2024
"The decking was flooded, so we had to give it a good hoover. Apart from that, no issues. Very clean and comfy!"
Emma Carter - Mar 2024
"Honestly, we were pretty disappointed with our stay. There was mould on the ceilings which was a bit off-putting and we couldnt believe how they handled the missing charger. After calling three times, they finally said it wasnt there, even though the room was locked and no one had been in since we left. It feels like they've stripped away all the fun stuff for kids - no more soft play or characters, just a bunch of slot machines. Seems like theyre more interested in making money than providing a good experience."
Emma Carter - Dec 2023
"The lodge was really nice and had all we needed. Just a bit of attention needed - we noticed some mould on the shower ceiling in the ensuite. Still a lovely stay though!"
Emma - Dec 2023
"Great experience, highly recommend it"
Emma Carter - Nov 2023
"The lodge was stunning, with breathtaking views and a really nice hot tub. Everything was spotless and well looked after. Well definitely come again!"
Sam - Nov 2023
"We really enjoyed our stay here! The caravan was spotless and super comfy, perfect for relaxing. The kids loved the pool, arcade and show arena - kept them busy! The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Not much around the area, but we planned a chill week anyway. Definitely thinking of coming back next year."
Emma Clarke - Nov 2023
"Great place for families, would defo go back.. My 2 kids loved it especially the swimming pool."
Yvonne - Aug 2022
"We have been coming to Hunters Quay now for the past 6 years and will be booking again for July 2023! We always have a fantastic time there. Obviously because we have been coming for so long it would be lovely to see some further activities added to the Go Active but honestly the staff are so helpful, the Go Active instructors are just lovely our grandchildren did sand art, wall climbing and archery and the girls were just fantastic. We had booked the premier caravan this year and it was stunning. Look forward to seeing you all again next year!"
Fiona - Aug 2022
"We had a lovely weekend in Hunter’s Quay in Dunoon. Stunning setting and excellent facilities. Our lodge was comfortable and well equipped. Our dog Gus had a lovely welcome when he received a pet welcome pack."
Julie - Jul 2022
"Fantastic park and area, will definitely be going back"
Steven - Jul 2022
"5 stars ?"
Stephen - Jul 2022
"We had such a lovely time at Hunters Quay Holiday Village. Would 100% recommend. Perfect for a short break with the family. There’s so much to do from swimming, outdoor play area, soft play, gym, evening entertainment. It brought us together. Everything there was reasonable priced and the restaurant put out good tasting food. The only downfall was the go active, there wasn’t much activities my children could do together due to their age groups ."
Kimberly - Jul 2022
"Fantastic site and facilities. Ashleigh and Nicole from Go Active we’re fantastic with the kids."
Dawn - Jul 2022
"Already booked to go back"
james - Jul 2022
"Had a great trip. Done the archery with Ewan before we left. He done really well and deserves a mention"
Alan - Jul 2022
"Everything was great my kids loved it, apart from i have allergies to animals. They did clearly state they are a pet friendly resort so i have no issue its just i couldn't enjoy it as much due to my weazing, sneazing and itching. That is the only reason i would not go back however its a fantastic place and highly recommend."
