Glan Morfa Lodge Retreat Reviews

"When we first arrived, the cottage was freezing and felt quite sparse - no curtains, just blinds, which was a bit surprising. The bathroom looked a bit tired, with exposed pipes and some holes in the walls, so not quite what we expected. The kitchen was pretty poorly stocked for a cottage meant for four; there was only one spoon, a few tired teaspoons and mismatched wine glasses. No table mats or can opener either, which was a bit disappointing. On the plus side, its really peaceful and perfect for a quiet retreat. The WiFi was solid and there was a decent selection of TV channels. Once we turned on the heating, it warmed up quickly and stayed cosy. Loved the high ceilings and exposed beams - really charming touches!"

"We loved the cosy cottage, stunning views and spotless everything. Truly a gem!"
Mark - Jul 2024
"We stayed at Wren Cottage and really enjoyed it. The location was perfect and it had all the essentials we needed. A few small issues like a broken knife, a chipped cup and a sour smell from the fridge couldve been sorted before our arrival. Still, wed definitely come back!"

"The cottage was lovely, super comfy and spotless. Honestly, I wish it had a dishwasher! The access road could do with tarmac, but wed still come back anyway."

"We had a fantastic time at Glan Morfa Lodge! The cottage was spotlessly clean, modern and felt really cosy. Anglesey itself is stunning, with so many beaches-long sandy stretches and quaint bays with rock pools-perfect for exploring. We brought our dog along and there were plenty of woodl and walks nearby. The scenery is breathtaking and there's so much for families to enjoy. We packed a lot into our short break and would definitely come back!"

"We had such a lovely stay at this cottage! The owners were genuinely friendly and went out of their way to help us with everything. The place itself is adorable, with that charming half-timbered style and a really good shower. The cosy kitchen and comfy bed made us feel right at home. Parking right outside was super convenient and the place was spotless and nicely heated. Perfect base for exploring Thaxted and the beautiful surrounding walks!"

They made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived, along with Bonnie, of course.
