Mayfield Snuggery Reviews

"Plenty of space, very modern and clean!"
Kurt - Aug 2020
"Snug as a bug best lodge weve stayed in by far"
Joanne - Jul 2020
"Would highly recommend Mayfield Snuggery. The lodges were the best I have ever stayed in decorated to extremely high standard and hot tub and sauna was a lovely treat for my partners 40th birthday. Lots of lovely scenery and only a short drive into Ashbourne. The welcome book had lots of useful information in and there was a lovely treat on our arrival for my fiancs birthday which was a lovely personal touch from the owners. Will be definitely booking again for next year. Check in and out was very straight forward with Covid 19 restrictions in mind. Thank you for having us, you have done a great job"

"Me and my partner are seasoned lodgers but cosy burrows is by far the best lodge we have stayed in.

The lodge itself is fantastic and set in wonderful surroundings. Very peaceful but not far from the local shops and bars.

Overall we had a fantastic week and we will be back as soon as possible! "
Tony - Jan 1970
"Everything was so perfect! The attention to detail was outstanding. Beautifully decorated and extremely clean. We even had fresh made cupcakes, and a bottle of milk and prosecco chilling in the fridge! Perfect stay."
Danielle - Jan 1970
"An amazing place, fantastic lodges and location. Highly recommend and cant wait to return."
Stephen - Jan 1970
"We came to Tawnies Nest at Mayfield Snuggery to celebrate a special birthday. The lodge was amazing and it was nice to receive some great welcome and birthday gifts. The location was quiet and private and walking distance to the Royal Oak pub (30 mins) and Ashbourne Town centre (45mins) by either roads with footpaths or public footpaths. The closest pub (10 mins walk) was sadly closed due to COVID reasons during our stay. Supermarkets within 10min drive. Some nice country walks locally or nearby eg Carsington Water, Tissington, Dovedale etc. Ruby, Jason and the team could not have been more helpful and there was a great information pack provided. Although quite pricey, the high end lodge and fantastic experience made it worthwhile"
James - Jan 1970
"A little bit of luxury, beautiful lodges in a peaceful surrounding. The prosecco and cakes were a very welcoming gift. The lodge has double French doors opening out on to pathed patios, with table and chairs and recliners. The lodge is beautiful decorated throughout and the lounge has lovely fire and TV. The bedroom is spacious and has plenty of storage for your things, plus another TV. The added fan was most welcome. As for the bathroom it was outstanding, two showers and a free standing bath and you guessed it another TV!! The hot tub and sauna didn't disappoint either, from the twinkle lights in the ceiling to the garden furniture to yep another TV outside. The only thing we wish we could have changed were the check in times, as we only did Monday to Friday we would like to have checked at maybe 3pm and checked out at 10am."
