Silver Trees Reviews

"Lovely lodge with very good facilities. However we miss our reclining chairs at home. All tastefully done and very functional. Love the rocking chairs which I sat in when not raining. It rained a lot. Would definitely stay again."
Stephen - Sep 2024
"Lovely place, so peaceful, with the deer wondering around."
PAULA - Jul 2024
"Lovely lodge with everything we needed. Great veranda and view."
Alison - Jul 2024
"We stayed in Stags Lodge for 1 week it was perfect.Lovely and clean, very friendly and helpful owners.Very quiet, deers and the surrounding views were outstanding, our record for deers outside our lodge for our stay was 48! Which was breathtaking alone.Really couldn't fault anything, we used the swimming pool which was immaculate, we also purchased a 25KG bag of deer food which managed to last the week but we did venture out each day for 8 hours +.Loads of lovely places to visit within an hours drive here, we had already planned our day(s) out prior to arriving at Silver Trees and every part of our holiday was fantastic. Thanks again for a lovely stay."
Daniel - Jul 2024
"The only slight negative is the lack of an outside table with chairs, so that meals can be enjoyed on the verandah."
Verified Guest - Jun 2024
"The lodge was well organised and had all the essential equipment needed for our stay."
Verified Guest - Jun 2024
"Everything you need. Say no more"
Leslie Paine - May 2024
"Beautiful lodge with everything you could need for a self catering stay. It was a little cold to sit out of an evening but this would be the perfect setting in the warmer months. The views and the deer made it for us."
Diane - Apr 2024
"Beautiful Lodge, my adult children and one of their partners stayed here. Very well equipped and included things like washing up liquid, T Towels, tea, coffee, sugar and milk sachets for our arrival. Very warm and comfortable ????"
Verified Guest - Apr 2024
"We had a wonderful, relaxing holiday at Doe View Lodge. The lodge was one of the best equipped and cleanest places weve ever stayed. There are brilliant views from the lodge of the local wildlife including the deer and the park is very peaceful. Really enjoyed swimming most days and it was amazing having the pool to ourselves ????. The park is well placed for walks/cycling in Cannock Chase, visiting nearby Lichfield, local NT Shugborough Hall and Staffordshire Wildlife Trusts Worseley Centre. Loved it so much we have already booked again for later in the year ????."
Dan & Kate - Mar 2024
"Our 2nd time in Stags view lodge and back again in December. If you want peace and tranquillity, this is the place to go. There are Wild deer roaming the Holiday park who will actually let you hand feed them now and then. Feed pellets can be bought on site and the Deer like Cabbage and lettuce also. We are looking forward to returning to this fabulous Holiday Park"
Jeremy - Nov 2023
"Clean and comfortable and well-equipped. Would benefit from more cutlery as the limited amount means that you either need to keep washing it up by hand or are running the dishwasher when it's only partly filled. The lodge sleeps four, but there were only two seats on the verandah, and a table for the verandah would take the 8 to a 10."
Amanda - Jun 2023
"Stags view could be better equipped with utensils and crockery ( eg small plates). Great location"
Denise - Jun 2023
"This has got to be one of the most stunning locations. The deer really do make this very special. We were there with our 10 year old and 3 year-old and they were in awe of the deer that fed out of their hands.
We stayed in Elderberry and it had everything we needed. It was spacious and clean and I wouldn't hesitate to return."
Stacey - Aug 2020
"Excellent lodge in beautiful surroundings"
Denise - Aug 2020
"Just fine for us but a few things that may need sorting ( wouldn't stop us coming back though):
- The shower unit is old and although the door shuts with encouragement, it's very noisy.
- Difficult to get rid of the smell of male wild animals when you're in a forest but maybe leave an airfreshner in main bedroom by the vent in the wardrobe.
- Twin beds are very tight to the wall

In general, we loved our stay. Thank you for the clear covid guidelines, the washing up bits and bobs and the amazing view."
Sam - Aug 2020
"Went in main holiday season so more expensive than we usually pay when going out of season"
Pam - Aug 2020
"Great cabin clean and spacious"
Barry - Jul 2020
"Will be returning again well worth the money"
Anne - Jul 2020
"Recharged and ready for our next adventure."
Peter - Mar 2020
"Excellent site and lodge, fantastic break."
Angie - Mar 2020
"Fantastic site and would go again , I would highly recommend"
Linda - Mar 2020
"An excellent comfortable lodge."
Jackie - Nov 2019
"Very good caravan...but the parking for the Elderberry that we were in (Elderberry 1) is a little steep. To park safely you need to reverse in at an angle"
Colin - Nov 2019
"Can't wait to go back."
Beccy - Nov 2019
"A lovely place would definitely go again with friends and family."
Sheila - Sep 2019
"Absolutely great. Will go there again. Children loved it as well."
Ruth - Sep 2019
"Excellent stay once again. We will return."
Babs - Sep 2019
"You cant guarantee the weather but we had some good days as well as rainy. Able to enjoy watching the deer and swimming on site as well as running around local forest trails. Plenty to do in the surrounding area - visited Tamworth castle, adventure farm with maize maze, a couple of steam train lines and had a nice walk around the birches valley Cannock chase outdoor centre (loads to do there such as GO APE)- plus managed to enjoy some BBQs on site."
Adrian - Aug 2019
"Great location for a quiet family holiday. Deer come to visit, exclusive use of the indoor swimming pool and a lovely comfortable lodge, perfect!"
Sharon - Aug 2019
"Fantastic Lodge, lovely interior, extremely comfortable, beautiful surroundings. Will be back soon!"
Ruth - Aug 2022
"Had a wonderful peaceful time. Baby deer came with their mother's every morning. Wonderful walks nearby and hired bikes just over the road. This was our third visit and won't be our last."
Michelle - Jul 2022
"Great caravan on a lovely peaceful site, wonderful to see and feed the deer. Would highly recommend."
Christine - Jul 2022
"Great site with good facilities. The views are to die for. The cabin was beautiful and catered to our needs. We were looking for a relaxing experience and that's what we got. We enjoyed a good walk through the woods and enjoyed feeding the deers. The site of the deers was just awesome."
Sandra - Jul 2022
"We’ve never been to this part of the country but decided to stay here as there was a graduation we was attending in Stoke. We didn’t venture into the holiday park but knew we could use the pool. Having to book with small numbers in at one time sounds like a good idea. Both areas were clean and well maintained. Easy to find. Perfect location"
Nicholas - Jul 2022
"Recently stayed here for a week in stags view lodge was perfect! Will definitely be back"
Mary - Jul 2022
"Stayed in doe Lodge which was exceptional. Overlooking grassland with deer roaming free. Everything you need in lodge. Clean, spacious with all you need in appliances. Rooms good size. Restaurants, shops and pubs nearby."
Cheryl - Jul 2022
"An absolute gorgeous setting. Just walk to wall peace from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Loved every single minute."
Emily - Jun 2022
"Excellent lodge in a very good setting."
Trevor - Jun 2022
"The holiday park is absolutely stunning. The view we had from the caravan was breath taking was so nice to be located in the woodlands surrounded by deer. We didn't use the facilities on the part but from what we saw it was adequate for retirements. I would definitely recommend this park for peace and quiet and out the way from the main town."
Louise - Jun 2022
"This is our 3rd visit to Silver Trees Park, initially booked to see Keane over in The Chase, but rebooked each time due to covid. This trip was no exception, very comfortable van, brilliant view from the lodge, and wonderful surroundings. Couldn't recommend this place enough. We don't use the extra facilities when we go ( pool and tennis) we prefer to take advantage of the wonderful Cannock Chase which is quite literally over the road."
Rachael - Jun 2022
"this holiday is one of the best you can have. everything is so quiet and peaceful. then you have the deer wondering around the park so it is good money well spent buying a sack of deer feed. it gives you hours of pleasure watching the deer graze. also some of the deer are brave enough to come and take it from your hand. then of course there are rabbits and squirrels to watch too."
Janice Pauline - Jun 2022
"Love Silver Trees. I’ve been going there on and off for years. Lovely quiet park to base a holiday. Plenty to do in Staffordshire with Alton Towers 40 mins a way and the forest nearby with plenty of activities to do. The park is visited by dear that roam freely and you can obtain food to feed them. Will continue to visit when I can"
