Skylark Retreat Reviews

Emma - Jan 2024
Great spot with all the appliances you could need, super clean, lovely environmentand very friendly hosts!
Emma - Dec 2023
We keep returning because it’s such a peaceful place, really helps us unwind and relax.
Emma - Nov 2023
We had a lovely time here! The setting is stunning and the company was great. Only thing we'd suggest is softer pillows in some rooms-those in the twin room were a bit too firm for our liking. Still, we loved it and definitely plan to return soon. Cheers!
Emma Clarke - Aug 2023
Honestly, this was one of our best stays ever! The place is super spacious and perfect for families with little ones. We loved how baby and toddler friendly it was - having a separate room for each of the kids was a lifesaver. The hot tub was a real highlightand we appreciated the safety setup with the outdoor settee near the hot tub. All the facilities were top notch, making it a truly 5-star experience. We’ll definitely be back!
Emma - Aug 2023
What a lovely location! The lodge was beautiful and the hot tub was just perfect. Whenever we had a problem, there was always someone friendly available on the phone to help out. We would definitely recommend this place and are already looking forward to coming back!
James - Jul 2023
We found the property spacious and well-planned for our group of 8, plus it was clean and generally well equipped with good decorative order. The grounds were really attractive and well-maintained with a few nice facilities for visitors. We really appreciated the provision of toiletries and other consumables. However, refrigeration was a bit insufficient for 8 people over more than a weekend. The hot tub was definitely a highlight for us!
Lisa - Jun 2023
What a brilliant family-sized lodge! The levels of comfort are way above many similar lodges we've stayed at. The hot tub is huge and fantastic. There's a great open space with a playground and plenty of grassed areas for games. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped with everything you'd need. The rattan dining and lounging furniture on the magnificent wrap-around decking is very high quality and comfortable too. It’s a peaceful location shared with just 4 other lodgesand there's enough parking for 4 cars per lodge.
Oliver - May 2023
What a lovely, quiet location! The Skylark Retreat was just what we had wished for. The layout is really well done and roomy, letting you relax in comfort. The hot tub was perfect for both young and older folks. We made full use of the tennis court and play area too. Quality fittings all around. It’s a great venue to catch up with friends from further away.
Sophie - Apr 2023
Absolutely beautifully presented, really clean and the facilities are amazing. It felt so homely and had everything we could possibly need. What a fantastic place! We will be definitely returning for sure.
Sophie - Apr 2023
What a fantastic lodge, really well equipped and super comfy. Having 4 bathrooms was a massive win since there were 8 of us in the group. The hot tub and serene surroundings are just lovely. We’re absolutely planning to come back and would suggest it to anyone looking to unwind and recharge!
Emily - Apr 2023
What a lovely cottage in such a nice setting for family get-togethers! Everything you need is right there for a really relaxing holiday. We highly recommend Skylark Cottage for a getaway or just a chance to unwind. You won’t be dissapointed!
Susan - Dec 2022
This was our second stay and we're already looking to come back! It’s peaceful and idyllicand the entire family loved the relaxing week we had together.
Christine - Jun 2022
The most well equipped house weve ever been to. Directions were perfect and the house exceeded our expectations. All so comfortable and welcoming. Everything worked as it should. We loved the hot tub! A real rare gem of a house.
Emily - May 2022
What a beautiful spacious lodge set in lovely landscaped gardens! The beds and furniture are really comfortableand the place is well equipped with plenty of seating outside on the patio. Plus, the hot tub is great! It's perfect for gathering with family or friends. The location is nice and quiet, with a couple of pubs within walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay!
Mark - Apr 2022
This place was brilliant for a family gathering! The children's facilities are fantastic, which made everything so much easier for us.
Sarah - Apr 2022
We had a lovely time, the lodge was so impressive, furnished to a high standard and the site was fab and really child friendly!
Emma - Dec 2021
We had a lovely time in this spacious, light and airy lodge! The four king size en-suite bedrooms were perfect for our family over Christmas, making it really comfortable for everyone.
James - Nov 2021
We loved the spacious open plan living and kitchen! The kitchen was well equipped with cooking utensils plus plenty of crockery and cutlery. The bedrooms are really comfortable, each with a good size bathroom. There's also a nice outside seating area with a hot tub and BBQ, all overlooking a communal grassed area that includes a children's play area.
Mark - Oct 2021
We loved the nice setting in such an attractive part of the country. The lodges were really well presentedand we appreciated the privacy from the others. The hot tub was a fantastic bonus!
