Nightingale Retreat Reviews

Susan - Aug 2024
Everything you could ask for for a relaxing break. Hot tub was a great success. It was lovely to relax outside but still be able to keep an eye on the children at the play area, which was super for our 5year olds. 3 generation group.
Marsha - Aug 2024
This property has beautiful grounds and its location is breath taking. My family and I enjoyed the peace and tranquility of it all. The property is ideal for a family to have their own space but still enjoy quality time together.
Stephen - May 2024
Good accommodation and found plenty to do in the area. Some minor maintenance issues. Dishwasher is a slimline one and isnt really adequate for a house sleeping 8, but plenty of dishwasher tablets were provided.
Paola - Oct 2023
Excellent stay in a brilliant property. It had everything we needed and then some. The children loved the play area and the hot tub was popular with everyone. We went to the local pub, The Cross Keys, for Sunday lunch which was beautiful. There were several supermarkets close by, which allowed us to restock. Also, had half a day in Shrewsbury, whicRead moreh is a lovely town. Would love to return in Summer to take advantage of the decking area and barbecue. Hide
Shehla - Jun 2023
Lovely and well equipped house in beautiful settings. We had 1 disabled person and 2 elderly people with us and they all had a very comfortable stay .
Kenneth - May 2023
Great location
Kerry - May 2023
The property is in a beautiful location, but I wouldn't say its suitable for families with very young children due to the garden not being enclosed. My children are aged 1 and 2, and could easily fit though a gap in the hedge or the barrier which leads onto the main road. I don't think "enclosed" is at all suited, as the hedging surrounds a very sm all section of the property, but there is a communal gravel driveway at the end and you can easily access other properties on site.
Carole - Apr 2023
I have no comments for improvement, the lodge was perfect for eight people, I would wholly recommend it. A wonderful relaxing week was had by all. Thank you.
Angela - Mar 2023
I would recommend this to my friends and family it was beautiful so relaxing just what we needed, I would give this 5.
Ian - Feb 2023
Great modern and stylish accommodation in a quiet setting with pleasant views. Accommodation adequately fitted out with all your needs. Nice large hot tub. Ideal for family with children.
Lindsey - Jan 2023
Beautiful lodge. High speculation and attention to detail.
Joanne - Jan 2023
Great lodge with everything you need. Amazing hot tub. Great surroundings. Made use of tennis court and lots of other equipment available, badminton, football, basketball. We were a group of adults but there is a lovely play area on site. We would recommend and return. Take own games as most in lodge had pieces missing so not able to use.
Ian - Sep 2022
A lovely location with plenty of facilities and equipment. Very spacious. We did not feel on top of each other
Sue - May 2022
The actual location of the property on the site was excellent . Outdoor furniture generous. Fantastic hot-tub. We've enjoyed others on holiday, but definitely the best thank you. Loved the open plan living space.
Pauline - May 2022
Wonderful accommodation and in a lovely secluded spot. Very well equipped. Fabulous hot tub which was regularly maintained. Top quality outside furniture. Would definitely recommend.
Kathryn - Apr 2022
The property was really comfortable and well equipped. Great that all the rooms had ensuite facilities. Hot tub was good to relax in at the end of the day. Would definitely recommend this property for a relaxing stay.
Melissa - Apr 2022
Lovely stay, would recommend. The trampoline was good for the children(and us!). It was very peaceful and calm. Thank you for a truly lovely stay.
Trudy - Apr 2022
Brilliant week to relax and enjoy the surroundings Thank you
Hannah - Mar 2022
Myself and my family stayed for our birthday celebrations and had a wonderful and relaxing time there. There was so many thing in the place so you didn't need to bring any kitchen equipment, dishwasher stuff and washing up stuff. All towels and flannels provided and over all a lovely relaxing bolthole to go to places round the area.
Nigel - Feb 2022
I booked Nightingale Retreat to take my family to celebrate my 50th Birthday. I was so impressed with the property, its finished to a really high standard, and was the perfect place to hold my Birthday celebration. Will be looking to book again in the summer as the weather was awful when we went in February, but this didnt stop us having fun and th e hot tub was fantastic in the cold and rain!!!! Highly recommended.
Chloe - Dec 2021
100% recommend they have something for everyone and all ages
Jo-Anne - Nov 2021
Lovely place to stay will definitely return
David - Oct 2021
Holiday with our 3 grown up kids and their partners - 8 adults. Great place, ideal set-up. Everyone enjoyed the area and bungalow.
Sue - Oct 2021
Lovely place. Wish we could have stayed for much longer. Accommodation, views, area, hot tub and tennis courts were all excellent. Thank you all so much. A beautiful place to be, so relaxing.
Elizabeth - Sep 2021
Very high standard of all equipment and furnishing, and cleanliness. We have visited twice with our friends, once in January 2020, and now in September 2021, and each season gave us different experiences. The large grass area gave us the opportunity to play croquet ( our own set) and watch the Squirrel, magpies, and the buzzards wheeling overhead. Motor on the hot tub going constantly, even nighttime was a little intrusive. A must visit is to the British Iron Works and park, a few miles away.
