Love2Stay Shrewsbury Reviews

"Ideal lodge for family !Loved the hot tub and sauna ,"
Amanda-jane - Mar 2025
"Loved our stay here.Activities for the children really good.Would like to return in summer months. Would have liked to try archery but wasnt available."
Verified Guest - Feb 2025
"Lodge very nice but having to use the sofa bed was an inconvenience. The hot tub was well maintained with twice daily testing. However, the hot tub and kids generated lots of wet towels with no drying facilities other than a towel rail in the bathroom. We learnt later there was a laundry room in a block higher up the site.Generally, enjoyed the four night break and the reception staff were exceptional."
Kenneth - Feb 2025
"Cosy lodge, a great base and the kids loved the hot tub and toasted marshmallows!!"

Verified Guest - Mar 2024
"Fantastic facilities, kitchen had everything we needed, though some utensils were basic. Bathroom and living room were very luxurious with lots of cushions/blankets. Downstairs bed was a tad too small for a couple but still was very comfortable!"
Jane - Mar 2024
"Absolutely spotless , everything considered and catered for , the hot tub was checked and PH balanced consistantly and routinely .I was so pleased with how it was presented to us I did my best to keep it clean and tidy and made sure it was as close to how we received it on our departure ( considering we brought a large and a small dog with us )It really was a thoroughly and enjoyable stay .Top marks ????"
Verified Guest - Feb 2024
"Underfloor heating was lovely. Had everything you need. Massive bathroom!!Heating but also had a wood burner that's great."
Sally - Feb 2024
"No entertainment of an evening. Had three teenagers 14, 15, 16 who spent, 45minutes at £10 each, on an assault course. They completed it in 20 minutes and redid it. They were not impressed. They reluctantly played board games which we took with us. Fabulous for young children or couples. Cafe - awesome food slightly overpriced but what you would expect to pay on a holiday camp. Great facilities for dogs. Lodge was lovely. Overall a good holiday for a short stay ( 3 days 2 nights) hot tub - although private you are overlooked by everyone"
Verified Guest - Feb 2024
"We only used for takeaway pizza and coffee. Pizza expensive but delicious. More cafe vibes than a restaurant so went off site to eat in local pubs."
Paula - Nov 2023
"A beautiful accommodation. Everything so new & to such a high spec. They had thought of everything"
Faith - Jul 2023
"Brilliant & cosy cottage far enough out the way to be secluded but close enough to local amenities. Amazing hotub & bathroom with underfloor heating throughout tops it off. The owners, Rob & Sharon are wonderful! (And of course Bonnie) Will definitely be coming back again for longer ASAP!!"
Christopher - Apr 2025
"Beautiful cottage with hot tub and log burner. lovely hosts, peaceful, perfect for our mini break. Hope to return for longer soon!"
Emma - Apr 2025
"Really well equipped house, lovely and warm too which was so nice on a rainy December day! Bath was just lovely and a nice big shower! The property is under a flight path - this did not disturb us at all! Dont be put off! A great location for dogs who hate fireworks as it's in the middle of nowhere. Really beautiful, well converted property. Thank you! "
Phoebe - Apr 2025
"It was everything we wanted for our weekend away and we loved staying here. We'll definitely be back! Our pups absolutely loved the underfloor heating and had so much fun in the garden. In fact Luna came home with a strained tail and according to the vet it was because she was wagging it so much over the weekend!! Very happy pups and hoomans!"
Andrew - Apr 2025
"Lovely cottage. Great location for us. Away from the hustle and bustle. Great hot tub . Lovely helpful non intrusive owners. They have it just right!"
Simon - Apr 2025
"Absolutely loved how well maintained and equipped this cottage is. Plenty of dog walks right on the doorstep. Very friendly host, they were so efficient and communication was excellent. We enjoyed meeting the animals on the farm and the very curious pig penelope. Perfect escape for us and the doggos. Will definitely be back, brilliant value!! Highly recommend. "
Brooke - Apr 2025
"Beautiful property, spotlessly clean, well equipped and very comfortable, had a fabulous break, hot tub amazing x"
Libby - Apr 2025
"Very kind and considerate owners. Couldnt be better. Enormously helpful and extremely pleasant. Charming half-timbered cottage with a great strong shower, cosy kitchen & living room combination and very comfortable bed. Fantastic parking directly next to the rented cottage. Well heated and very charming, and spotlessly clean. Great walks across the fields to the local village of Thaxted and of course within easy travelling distance of the village, replete with half-timbered houses and windmill. "
James - Apr 2025
"We had a wonderful time in Goddard Mead. The cottage was very complete and there were walks on the doorstep. The welcome and stay was very warm. The owners are lovely people."
Annemieke - Apr 2025
"The owners Rob & Sharon, have gone to a great deal of work to sympathetically convert this historic building & we couldn't have had a warmer greeting from them both & of course Bonnie. Goddard's Mead has everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay. The location is in a great area of Essex and would recommend taking the time to wander around Thaxted and other villages/towns nearby to discover it's fascinating history & buildings. "
Carol - Apr 2025
"Such a lovely place to stay in a really beautiful, private location. The owners were really friendly and helpful, nearby if needed but without breaking that sense of privacy. The hot tub was perfect after a day of cycling! One thing to be aware of, the cottage is right under Stansted's flight path, and so there's a lot of aircraft noise. It only took us a couple of hours to get used to it and it didn't spoil our holiday at all, but something to be aware of if you're sensitive to noise. "
