"Chestnut Lodge was warm and comfortable and nicely located with good views and decking with outdoor furniture. TV over complicated. And lacked instructions on how to access basic channels like BBC and ITV. The sofa is a sofa bed and the seat cushions slope towards the middle, could be better. Otherwise well equipped, efficient heating and easy to adjust. Though we didnt use them, a microwave, dishwasher and washing machine are provided.Overall very good value and would go again."

"I spent the weekend with my partner at Astbury in one of their gorgeous on-site lodges. The area was beautiful and our lodge was right next to the waterfall which was so peaceful. The lodge we chose to stay in had a hot tub built into the decking outside which was lovely. There was enough privacy provided by the glass railing around and the furniture placement to make us feel comfortable being in there and not being seen. The lodge itself was immaculate and clean, had all the basics and even came with a welcome box filled with tea, coffee, sugar, milk and cookies, as well as cleaning supplies being provided such as a sponge, dish soap, dishwasher tablets and clean bin bags. The bed was super comfy and the living space was just overall amazing. The welcome from the staff was friendly and helpful for the questions we had about hiring tennis equipment for the courts on-site, and they were kind enough to check us in early as well. Overall an amazing stay, we will be returning back to Astbury in the near future and we cant wait to see how the site develops in the next few months! Thank you so much for an amazing anniversary stay."

"We had a lovely long weekend in one of the lodges. Unfortunately on arrival there had been a leak in the lodge and we had to wait for this to be fixed before getting into the property half an hour late. . Once inside we were impressed with the lodge in terms of layout and cleanliness. The master bedroom was lovely however the second twin room was quite cramped for two adults sharing with very little space to get ready. Only one person at a time could comfortably be in the room. I think this has been mentioned in an earlier review that its more like the size of bedroom youd expect in a caravan rather than a luxury lodge. The lounge was comfortable and spacious and the hot tub on the decking was a great added feature. However, the lighting was very bright both in the lounge and second bedroom and there were no lamps or dimmers to create a more relaxed ambience in the evening which was a bit disappointing. Also there were no waste bins in the rooms other than a kitchen bin. We also had a blocked shower which overflowed in the main bathroom which we managed to unblock ourselves but wouldnt expect to have to do so. So all in all, a nice stay but a lack of attention to detail in terms of things that you would expect to be provided."

"Lovely lodge. Would have liked to be able to watch live TV and not just using a fire stick. No instructions on how to use the heating which was disappointing but a call to the club guided us."

"Accommodation was excellent, very comfortable and clean. The hot tub was a bonus"

"The lodge was slightly smaller than anticipated but a usable space, there was some things that could of been added to the utensil list, this would of made doing the bbq easier. The area was very well kept and a nice quiet location espically with the scenic walk. Some works were going whilst there but didn't affect us to much. The hotub was very well maintained and outside space was nice to sit out on with the weather being good. Cupboard space was a little bit sparce, other wise a cosy lodge."

"The Sycamore "Lodge", is really a luxury caravan, as the second bedroom is much smaller than other Hoseason Lodge Park Lodges.Essentials these days that come with a "luxury hot tub lodge" were omitted, like a hairdryer, soap and toiletries, pods for the coffee machine (so many different types you cannot go equipped with any yourself). Robes and plastic glassware to use for the hot tub were also not supplied, as they are a t other Hoseasons luxury lodge parks we regularly visit. The decor and cleanliness of the Sycamore were excellent, if viewed as a luxury caravan rather than lodge."

"First time staying at the Astbury (Oak Lodge VIP) and its our new favourite place! We are not golfers and so couldnt comment on those facilities but the grounds look incredible. Went over and had lunch at the Potting Shed one day (which is an outdoor Cafe set in the gardens). We didnt want to let our 4 year old loose on the very nice looking Montgomeries Restaurant and so chose the Potting Shed instead. The brilliant Rachel (apologies if the name is wrong) in the Potting Shed explained that we could absolutely take our children inside the restaurant or choose the outdoor terrace if we wanted. The menu for Montgomeries is excellent and there is a childrens menu too. The lodge we stayed in was Oak Lodge VIP number 43 in The Rookery. Quite possibly the best lodge in the whole park. Very modern furnishings with a tv in each room, an Xbox in living room (no games though so bring your own if you own an Xbox), family board games & others (monopoly, scrabble, trivial pursuit, dominos, puzzles and books) a well equipped kitchen with all that you will need. Washing machine & dishwasher. You get a small welcome package with a tiny WUL, sponge, 3 Dishwasher tablets, 2 bin bags, and a washing machine tablet. There is no iron or ironing board though! There is a hairdryer in the main bedroom.BBQ (Kamado Bono) on the decking took a little getting used to but honestly the best BBQ Ive ever used. Just be patient with the heating up time.Hot tub perfect from the very first moment we got there. Some places you cant use the hot tub straight away but here it was ready immediately and maintained by a guy who comes each morning approx 9am. I have to say all the staff here at Astbury are brilliant. All the groundsmen say good morning when you walk past, the hot tub guys are courteous, the staff at reception in the main building have perfect service too. We would absolutely return to the Astbury next year for our holiday. Bridgnorth has a very quirky feel and right up our street. Small independent shops and Harry Potter theme throughout the small town. Use the Cliff Railway to go up to the town Centre where you will find lots of little shops and cafes. Ridleys at the bottom of the railway was a good place to get a drink overlooking the River Severn. If you are in to footgolf there is a place nearby in Highly well sign posted and very reasonably priced. £6 adult and £3 under 12yrs for 12 holes.I loved my stay at the Astbury"
