Lilliardsedge Holiday Park Reviews

"Good stay overall, but the small rooms mattress was quite rubbish."
Emma Clarke - Apr 2024
"Really happy with the stay, the lodge was lovely and cosy."
Oliver - Apr 2024
"The setting was beautiful, overlooking the golf course, which was lovely. The hot tub wasnt very private, which was a bit of a letdown and we felt some internal updates are needed-clean towels and fixing up fixtures would really boost the place. For what we paid, it should be 5-star, honestly."
Emma - Apr 2024
"We recently spent four nights in a lodge at what was supposed to be a premium park and honestly, were a bit disappointed. The place was spacious, clean and somewhat comfy, but the basics were seriously lacking. We were expecting a welcome basket, but what we got was laughable-just a bin bag, two dishwasher tablets, four biscuits, some coffee, teabags and sugar. Normally, youd expect juice, milk, maybe some wine or chocolates, but nope, just cleaning stuff! Definitely not what we paid for. Parking was a nightmare too; the website claimed there was plenty of space, but we had to reverse into a tiny cul-de-sac where cars were parked everywhere and turning around was a pain. The shop was well-stocked and the restaurant looked lovely, but it was way overpriced for what you actually got. Overall, a bit of a letdown, especially considering the cost. Weve stayed in better places for less money, sadly."
Harriet - Mar 2024
"Our Lilliardsedge Holiday Park review: We stayed in a Bowden pod recently and honestly, we were blown away by how roomy it was. The clever layout made excellent use of the space, making everything feel so comfortable and well thought out. It genuinely felt a bit luxurious, especially with the good quality crockery and glassware. The hot tub was a real highlight, super relaxing and the place was spotless and well looked after. They even checked the hot tub levels daily, which was a nice touch. When we reported a broken clothes horse, they brought a brand new one the very next day. They listen and act quickly, which we really appreciated. Were definitely coming back!"
Emma - Feb 2024
"We really enjoyed the lodge, especially the lovely decor and the hot tub - that outside gate was a nice touch. The only thing was the mezzanine ceiling was quite low, so my son had to duck to get upstairs, which was a bit of a pain. The restaurant was fantastic too, with a gorgeous fillet steak and friendly staff, especially the two young girls who gave us some great ideas for things to do and places to visit. Wed definitely go back!"
Emma - Feb 2024
"Really impressed with the Bowden pods, well designed!"
Charlotte - Feb 2024
"The dimmer switch only worked above the dining table, not in the living room and the kitchen spotlights kept flickering. Might just stick to a lamp instead, honestly. Bit disappointing."
Emma Clarke - Feb 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay, the hot tub was fantastic!"
Emma Carter - Feb 2024
"Really enjoyed our time here! The lodge was massive, spotless and kept in great condition. Well definitely return!"
Emma Carter - Jan 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay here, everything was spot on - tea, coffee, biscuits and more! Absolutely loved it."
James - Nov 2023
"We had such a great week with the grandchildren! The lodge was spotless and really cosy, making it a perfect base. The hot tub was definitely a highlight-especially since we enjoyed it every night, even in the rain. The Taverner was a lovely spot to unwind and grab a bite. While the play park could use a bit of a refresh, the kids still loved it. We're already planning to come back next year and try the golf course!"
James - Nov 2023
"Overall, we had a lovely holiday! The place was really nice and we enjoyed ourselves. However, we did run into a bit of an issue at the restaurant. There wasnt much for those with celiac disease because they use the same fryer for everything, leading to cross-contamination. Sadly, one of our group didnt get lunch because of it."
Emma Carter - Nov 2023
"The lodge was fantastic, honestly. The bed was super comfy and the hot tub was just the icing on the cake. The kitchen had all we needed and the bathroom was lovely too. Would definitely stay again!"
Emma - Nov 2023
"The lodge was lovely, really comfortable and well-equipped. The only downside is the location-it's quite remote. Also, the on-site pub doesnt allow dogs, so we had to drive 11 miles to Kelso, where dogs are welcome. Still, we enjoyed our stay overall!"
Emma Rogers - Nov 2023
"We stayed in a spacious lodge that felt really cosy and had plenty of room to relax. The beds were super comfy, which made our nights really restful. When we realised we didnt have oven gloves, I asked at the shop and almost instantly, a friendly staff member knocked on our door with a pair. They explained that because of COVID, gloves arent kept in lodges, but you can always ask for some. We really appreciated how helpful and attentive the staff were-it made our stay even better!"
Emily - Nov 2023
"We loved this cute little lodge! Perfect for us and our dog. The facilities were good, but the double bed was a bit cramped, needs to be bigger."
Emma Carter - Nov 2023
"The lodge was super cosy, but it got a bit warm, so we grabbed a fan. Still, we loved the place!"
Emma - Jul 2023
"Great staff, really friendly and super helpful!"
Oliver - May 2023
"Looking forward to seeing the full park once all the new lodges are in place. Should be lovely!"
Marina - Aug 2020
"Really enjoyed the stay"
Martin - Aug 2020
"Looking forward to visiting again soon"
Emma - Aug 2020
"We enjoyed our stay, but the layout felt a bit odd. You could either trek all around the lodge to reach the hot tub or go through a bedroom, which was a bit strange. Adding decking around the lodge might make things more straightforward and nicer overall."
Charlotte - Aug 2020
"Had a lovely week, really chilled out in a spotless lodge. The hot tub was definitely a highlight!"
Claire - Aug 2020
"Really enjoyed our stay, definitely planning to return soon!"
Emma - Aug 2020
"Really enjoyed our stay, the lodge was lovely and the staff fantastic."
Emma - Aug 2020
"Really enjoyed the experience, totally chilled out and cant wait to come back again soon."
Emma - Aug 2020
"We had a lovely stay! The lodge was spotless and the food at the restaurant was really good value. Kids adored the play park, making it a perfect family getaway. Definitely recommend!"
Emma - Aug 2020
"We had such a lovely holiday, honestly, would buy a lodge if we could!"
Emma - Aug 2020
"It was a great stay , the pod was very clean and hot tub was excellent, I would say a canopy over the hot tub would be a future improvement to stop tree leafs going in the water but over all a great little holiday"
Caitlyn - Jul 2022
"Staff were friendly, even called me to say the unit was ready and we could check in early. Only downside for us was the units are very close together, for the most part this wasn't an issue, but then a family checked in near the end of the holiday, their kids were allowed to do as they pleased, hitting the side of the home with balls and frisbees, playing catch next to the cars and not always catching the ball, parents just sitting watching them do it. Spoiled the last few nights."
Martin - Jul 2022
"Lovely lodge restaurant nice food nice weather wosnt the best but thats scotland for you deffinatly go back"
John - Jul 2022
"Lovely lodge. Very clean, everything you need. Great park, kid and dog friendly which was perfect for us. Unfortunately didn't stay long enough to use restaurant or visit entertainment but will definitely return again."
Diane - Jul 2022
"Holiday park was great, would be good if there was some kids entertainment but overall fab holiday."
Bethanie - Jul 2022
"Our lodge (a lilliards 4 bed),was great ,very well equipt and spotless.the bed was very comfy.the decking was large with very nice furniture ,and the hot tub was fantastic .overall a relaxing holiday .the only gripe would be the 4pm check in and 9am check out. 2pm and between 10am and 11am would be better"
Agnes - Jul 2022
"The park was very clean and tidy and staff were very helpful and friendly"
Bernadette - Jul 2022
"Lillesrdsedge is a very large and well laid out site that is meticulously maintained (can border on the intrusive with the level of noise from some of the machinery at times) The Linden pod we booked was excellent for our needs and all supplied for use within pod was of excellent quality. Safe and secure for our dog. The Tavern food was again of excellent quality but lacking a pool table which would have kept my 17 year old entertained. Plenty of outdoor seating. Takeaway van was a nice option for a few evenings too. Check in time of 4pm I feel is too late, especially as on-site shop closes at 5pm. Check out time of 9am is far too early also."
Annemarie - Jul 2022
"Fabulous place! Great entertainment! Worth the money!"
Lauren - Jul 2022
"Great location - quiet during the week - can imagine it being more active at the weekend / school holidays."
William - Jul 2022
"Absolutely loved the Biwden pod we stayed in. The park is lovely. Very clean and well kept. Nice and peaceful. The Tavern is a good place to drink and there is plenty of outdoor seating for nice weather. The food was good and service was too."
Christine - Jul 2022
"Lodge was really good only thing was not a lot to do on the site but overall very relaxing holiday would definitely go back."
Elizabeth - Jul 2022
"Lovely place and we have been as a family a few times now both camping and staying in one of the new pods which was excellent we would definitely recommend it."
Scott - Jul 2022
