The Griffins Retreat Reviews

Emma - Aug 2024
We had a fantastic time at Griffins Retreat! The scenery was stunning and the hot tub really hit the spot after a long day. Lin and Andy were super helpful, making our stay even better. Can't wait to return for another relaxing break!
Emma - Aug 2024
We recently spent three lovely nights at Griffins Retreatand it was just perfect for a quiet getaway. Lin was an excellent host-really easy to get in touch with and super helpful. The Nest itself is tucked away at the back of their land, so it feels totally private and peaceful, with stunning surroundings. It’s well-equipped with clear instructions and has everything you need. Plus, the pub nearby is only about five minutes on footand there’s a farm shop close by too. Perfect for exploring Canterbury, Whitstable, Deal, or Sandwich. We’d definitely recommend it!
Emma Roberts - Aug 2024
Really enjoyed the peaceful setting, everything was well thought outand we'd happily return again!
Rachel - Aug 2024
We stayed in a really comfy cabin that had everything we needed, from appliances to lovely outdoor seating perfect for soaking up the sun. The hot tub was great, especially with electric heating, which we preferred over wood-fired. The lemon drizzle cake from Lins was absolutely delicious! Chillenden’s stunning natural surroundings, with plenty of walking trails nearby, made our trip special. The Griffins Head pub is just a short walk away and well worth a visit. Can't wait to come back!

The site is home to over 500 rare and endangered animals from all around the world including the beautiful Siberian Tigers and the largest breeding herd of Black Rhino outside of Africa. The park was set up to protect endangered species and while enjoying the experience visitors can learn about the dangers the animals face in the wild and the reasons for their decline. The centre aims to return animals to the wild wherever possible and the enclosures are designed closely match the animals natural habitat.
Imagine Playcentre - TN23 7UT
