Ivyleaf Combe Lodges Reviews

"perfect couldn't ask for more."
Tina - Oct 2024
"We stayed here in September this year for a week. The property is in a quiet location about 2 miles from Bude. The lodge is in generally good condition but there were some items that showed signs of wear viz: damage to the bath panel and a significant rust patch on the front of the dishwasher door. Worth noting is that access to the lodge is up 18 steps some of which were of loose gravel and others wooden and concrete. This did not create a problem for us but older holiday makers may well struggle. It might be considered helpful to add that fact to the property details. Overall a pretty good choice for a self catering with everything that one might need or want."
Richard - Sep 2024
"Idyllic place to stay. Would stay here again.Hot tub was secluded and a great addition."
Hayley - Sep 2024
"Very spacious, lovely welcome basket with local products (I actually bought more of the Cornish tea and coffee whilst I was there to take home) comfy sofas and beds and very private, you barely even notice the path to it making it seem hidden away which is perfect if you want to relax in privacy. Few spiders found when first got there but it is the countryside and only took 5 mins to go round and get them out."
James - Jul 2024
"The place was well presented, extremely clean and our first impression was that of coming home. There was everything we could need in the kitchen. The bed was comfy, even the pillows helped with a good nights sleep! Forgetting we had told them of our little one there were toys for the bath and a bed provided just for him. The hot tub was fantastic and our son loved talking to the chickens and looked for them every time we went out. The surroundings were very peaceful and relaxing and the staff provided an easy way to contact them if needed. Would definitely return next time we plan for a trip west again. Thank you so much for our stay."

"We stayed at Ivyleaf Combe last week and booked for next year before we had even left. We had an amazing stay in the Woodpecker lodge which was comfortable and had everything we needed. We brought our 2 young children with us who loved the chickens and the park on site, we loved the peace and quiet and the hot tub. When the weather turned nasty the dvd collection in the reception area made a big difference and gave the kids something to do. Sparkles the cat was an added bonus and made herself very comfortable with us for the week, even snuggling into bed with ourselves and our kids. We cannot wait to return next year!"
Emmeline - May 2024
"So glad we chose here. Nice break after hubby did the London Marathon. Place was welcoming, with a nice welcome hamper, spotless, comfortable bed, quiet location, lovely chicken neighbours, hot tub nice and relaxing. Also has their own little blockbusters lol, big selection of DVDS, books and games. Highly recommend"
Sue - Apr 2024
"Couldnt ask for more in a lodge"
Nicole - Apr 2024
"Great place for exploring the area in beautiful surroundings. I would recommend staying here !"
Ruth - Mar 2024
"Really enjoyed our stay at the woodpecker lodge at Ivy Coombe. Location was quiet and out of the way. Excellent facilities with private hot tub. At night its so remote you can clearly see the stars. The owners are friendly and efficient. We had an issue with the tv that was sorted out very promplty. The lodges have a homely feel with aromatherapy diffuser bluetooth speaker and settee throws. Good location close to the sea."
Verified Guest - Feb 2024
"We booked Pheasant but were allocated Squirrel, which we suspect may have been an error or a slight upgrade. No issue to us. Squirrel lodge was perfect for our stay."
Verified Guest - Feb 2024
"All good apart from some cobwebs. Really loved our stay though!"
Paul - Feb 2024

"A lovely park in great surrounding. Secluded (in a good way) and the lodge with the hot tub was excellent. We had such a peaceful and relaxing time. Would definitely recommend if you are planning to stay in the area. We don't have children though and went out of season, so cab't really comment on that side of things, but I did notice a play area and games/books etc for kids."
Martin - Oct 2019
"This place is a real gem. The surroundings are quite and calm. The facilities are top notch, very clean and comfortable. It’s location is excellent for day trips with loads to do! The one thing I really loved was the library which includes the potential to borrow buckets and spades, body boards and use the washing machines. All really helpful for a break away. Loved it. Will be back! P"
Stephanie - Aug 2022
"Excellent lodge, immaculate throughout, very well equipped for self catering, beds and bedding were lovely. Can’t recommend highly enough. The hot tub was our first priority and again of a very high standard. Extremely good value for money."
Angelina - Jul 2022
"Lovely place to stay, would go again. The only little moan I have is the bathroom door wouldn’t shut and twice walked in on another family member."

Karen - Jul 2022
"Cant fault it! Park, location, owners and the lodge itself are amazing! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone. Our week flew by and ots close to Bude with its lovely beaches and amenities. Easy to get to the park as it's just off the main A39 coming into Bude. Tranquil and peaceful."
Rajesh - Jul 2022
"What a fabulous holiday we have had in Bude! We were extremely fortunate to have beautiful weather and to have discovered such incredible beaches here, but we were also fortunate enough to have found this gem of a place. The lodge itself was incredibly well equipped with everything you could possibly need, including a dvd and book library in the reception area. Beds were very comfortable and the hot tub perfect for an afternoon of relaxing after a day at the beach. The owners were extremely friendly and made the whole place feel like a home from home. We especially loved meeting the site chickens and resident cat! Thank you for an amazing week!"
Sharon - Jul 2022
"1st holiday in my life that I've not been ready to go home ... can't wait to return !"
Julie - Jun 2022
"Another brilliant holiday"
Diane - Jun 2022
"We absolutely loved our holiday here. The property was perfectly clean and the owners had thought of everything in terms of contents, even down to blankets. The location is perfect if you are happy to drive somewhere for walks but you can’t walk directly from the lodge. The owners really gave us a lot of privacy, however when we had some problems with the TV they did not respond. Would definitely visit again!!"
Becky - Jun 2022
"We had a lovely relaxing holiday. The lodge was clean and well equipped. They thought of everything. Highly recommend"
Suzanne - May 2022
