Piran Meadows Resort Reviews

"Lovely size caravan, well laid out and stocked with all the essentials plus more. The hot tub is huge! Very comfortable beds, excellent heating made it very cosy. Felt very spacious, especially with the central dining table which isn't cramped like most caravans. Has a tray on the veranda for disposable bbq's which is a nice touch. Fully enclosed veranda too which is great for giving dogs some freedom."

"Wadebridge premier 3To say I was disappointed is an understatement. The holiday home we had was nowhere near as nice as was shown on the website. We have stayed at Piran meadows before and their basic holiday homes were good for the price, so we decided on an upgrade. This is not premium. Everything is starting to look very tired, with the curtain missing at the front door and the furniture being past its best. Even the hot tub is showing signs of wear with loose jet covers and faulty lights. Also there were no luxuries - no shampoo or shower gel, no coffee, sugar or tea bags, not even robes for the hot tub which we have had on different sites. It would have been lovely to have a few tablets for the dishwasher, but nothing was provided, so we didnt bother to use it. The only things provided were two towels each, two hand towels, two small soaps, two toilet rolls and a shower mat and a small bottle of washing up liquid with a scourer, tea towel and oven gloves. My husband could not even charge his shaver as there was no shaving point. However on this issue the staff at reception were very helpful and found me a shaving adapter, which we returned for others use. I think there needs to be another shower mat available for the door when you come inside from the hot tub so you dont get the carpet wet - we ended up using the one from the shower room, but it was white so got quite dirty. It was nice to have two toilets, but in previous holiday homes of this calibre on other sites, we have had one en-suite and a proper bathroom with a bath so this is sorely lacking for six people - not even an en-suite. The shower was good and central heating adequate. The double doors to the living area from the decking did not fit very well and neither did the entrance door and we had a storm while we here, and wind was blowing through both, but at least the extra fire in the living room maintained some heat. The positives are the tvs are very good - one in the bedroom and one in the lounge and the free WiFi streamed my Apple TV well. The staff we encountered at reception were all very helpful and friendly. It is also lovely having a heated swimming pool, (shower gel, shampoo and conditioner is provided here, but you do need a pound coin for the lockers), also there is a gym, steam room and sauna on site and provided you are aware of the times the pool is being used by outside agencies and go active sessions you can get in a good swim and steam and sauna session. This area of Cornwall is beautiful to visit and the site is very tastefully organised with beautiful views over the hills. Our holiday home was at the end of the row, so it was very private, which I liked."

"Lovely hot tub but the accommodation was bit grubby in en-suite bathroom and stank of cigarettes so we didnt use, tap in kitchen very wobbly but apart from that was fine"

Chris - Nov 2024
"As we stayed in the same accommodation we did notice some signs of wear and tear, to some extent this is to be expected. Hopefully, over the closed season some items could be attended to, but on our arrival it was clean and presentable."
Verified Guest - Nov 2024
"The lodge was spacious and well equipped. Easy to follow guides for heating and hottub. Very clean and comfortable."
Kaylie - Nov 2024
"Great size. Let down by the not being very clean, very dusty, sofas and chairs needed a good clean."
Verified Guest - Nov 2024
"We are just home from a 4 day break Monday - Friday. Accommodation was unclean, quickly rectified and offered a refund of our activities which we took up greatfully. No one seemed shocked or dismayed and we didn't feel reassured that this would be investigated and rectified for others staying which is personally very important to me.We felt that reception was average at best, answered questions very to the point and never going above and beyond to give information, it was a rushed and never personable interaction. On the huge positive the activities for the children were fantastical run, and both our 10 year old and 14 year old had a great time! The pool party looked so much fun! The setting is beautiful and we loved watching the sun setting and rising over the rolling hills in the distance."

"Spent half term there in October. Booked through hoseasons, great price."
Geoff - Nov 2024
"It was beautiful, clean & tidy & was fully equipped with full size fridge/freezer,dishwasher, microwave & double oven. There was a little starter pack of tea, coffee etc & also a miniature washing up liquid & tea towel. The kitchen & lounge were a good space with lots of room. The beds were already made on arrival & a set of generous sized & good quality towels. It was very warm sometimes too warm but this was easy to manage & caused no problems. The hot tub was checked daily & clearly well looked after.Would recommend extra set of towels for hot tub & extra toilet roll as only one provided."
Ivan - Oct 2024
"Whilst showing signs of age, the van was perfectly clean and spacious for a family of 5. Hot tub was lovely and we used that every day. Little basic welcome pack on arrival so you can have a cuppa when you get there. We have been twice and have also been able to check in before 4pm both times. (I imagine this would depend on how busy the resort is but we tend to visit off peak). The van is supplied with all amenities you need, including a dishwasher (bring your own tablets though as this is the only thing we didnt get on arrival) beds are comfy and quite spacious as far as caravan beds go. The WiFi is very good, our son brought his Xbox and was able to connect and play just as he would at home. We will be booking again for next year."

"Beautiful caravan, the hot tub is a big bonus highly recommend. Location is perfect quiet peaceful a great weekend escape from a busy lifestyle."
Natalie - Oct 2024
"The site was easy to get too, location was very central, Staff are friendly and helpful and have good local knowledge. The facilities are clean and accessable and there is a good range of activities on the timetable"
Natalie - Aug 2022
"Lovely place to stay, caravan was lovely and clean would give 10/10 to stay in, staff was lovely and polite and would help you if needed. The only thing I would suggest is to have more play areas for children like swings slides ect as there was not much activity for young ones to entertain outside. Always pre book the restaurant as we got turned away because we didn’t book a table and they told us we had to get the takeaway option and go back to the caravan to eat it. They wouldn’t let us eat it at the table we were sat on. Although it’s a family resort the bar called last orders most days at 21.30. So maybe extend it."
Sharron - Aug 2022
"Great holiday resort lovely accommodation very clean! Only disappointment was the restaurant very restricted opening times!"
Alison - Aug 2022
"Brilliant holiday park. Lots of things for kids to do, they loved everything about it. The caravans were superb, clean, plenty of room and lovely site."
Janice - Aug 2022
"The lodge was beautiful and in a fantastic location. The staff were amazingly helpful and so kind and polite. The reception and main centre was wonderful with a lovely pool and spa, fantastic restaurant with good quality food at a very reasonable price, lovely outdoor space to sit and enjoy the sunny weather. I would recommend this resort to everyone."
Daniel - Aug 2022
"Great location for what we needed to explore Cornwall and it's beautiful beaches. Very happy with our stay."
Thy - Aug 2022
"Fantastic place, lovely staff and beautiful surroundings. Location was lovely and quiet. Facilities were great and goactive activites were brilliant and very well organised. Accommodation was modern and very clean. Would 100% come back next year."
Teresa - Aug 2022
"Fantastic time at piran meadows, clean van, towels and baths miniatures plus washing up and tea packages which was a very unexpected welcome touch. Early check in phone call from staff member once van had been cleaned so an absolute bonus. Staff helpful, professional and when we had a problem with our fridge they sent someone to look at straight away to fix it. Facilities clean and very well laid out. Kids loved the Astro/pool/splash pool, pool tables. Only gripe was availability of the bar/food being open for longer in peak times but overall a fantastic stay central to everything. Would highly recommend."
Eve - Aug 2022
"We stayed in a Wadebridge 2 carvan and it exceeded my expectations in terms of cleanliness, size and facilities. Little extras such as washing up items, shower items etc.. were a lovely touch. Park was in a great location and I was able to easily access local beaches and towns by car. Staff were really friendly and helpful and always had a smile on their face. Pool was basic but great on rainy days and being able to use the sauna / steam room was great. The site is quieter than others but that is what I was looking for on this particular holiday so a thumbs up from us. We had a lovely week."
Michelle - Aug 2022
"Great site, great staff they couldn't do enough for us."
