Blue Hills Holiday Park Reviews

"Excellent choice of furniture, inside and out, reflecting the ambience of the Safari Tent. More than adequate cooking facilities and appreciated the attention to detail, providing towels, tea towel and washing up liquid."
Trudy - Sep 2024
"Great glamping"
Philip - Sep 2024
"Amazing location and the panoramic tent was amazing to stay in Would highly recommend and tge staff are always there to help .the cove is a short walk down the hill but well worth it as well as exploring the tin mine ruins"
Russell - Sep 2024
"We stayed in the Panorama Dome which is fantastic accommodation, its very spacious and has everything you need for a really comfortable stay. The en-suite bathroom was bigger than we were expecting, beds were already made up when we got there and everything was very clean. There is a covered area at the top of the steps with furniture for you to sit out which is great. Down the steps there is a decked area where you find your BBQ, picnic table and hot tub which is all undercover. The hot tub had been drained, refilled and heated up ready for when we arrived, it was very easy to use and a brilliant way to relax after numerous long walks. We did lots of lovely walks straight from the campsite including St. Agnes, Perranporth (got some excellent kebabs for the BBQ from the butchers here) and Porthtowan which are all accessible along the South West Coast Path with some wonderful views. The nearest village is St. Agnes which is lovely with shops, a museum, pubs, cafes and the Driftwood Spar brewery. The only time we used the car was to visit Truro and used the Park and Ride, which was far easier than trying to find parking in the town and you can buy the tickets online before you go.All in all we had a wonderful week staying at Blue Hills Touring Park."
Mark - Jul 2024
"Our Blue Hills Holiday Park review: Safari 5 was very clean and comfortable, lots of room, hot tub was great and so we're facilities"
Tracey - Jul 2024
"Enjoyed safari 5. Could do with more coat hooks."
Joe - May 2024
"Place was amazing, family loved it,"
Matthew - Jul 2023
"Brilliant & cosy cottage far enough out the way to be secluded but close enough to local amenities. Amazing hotub & bathroom with underfloor heating throughout tops it off. The owners, Rob & Sharon are wonderful! (And of course Bonnie) Will definitely be coming back again for longer ASAP!!"
Christopher - Apr 2025
"Beautiful cottage with hot tub and log burner. lovely hosts, peaceful, perfect for our mini break. Hope to return for longer soon!"
Emma - Apr 2025
"Really well equipped house, lovely and warm too which was so nice on a rainy December day! Bath was just lovely and a nice big shower! The property is under a flight path - this did not disturb us at all! Dont be put off! A great location for dogs who hate fireworks as it's in the middle of nowhere. Really beautiful, well converted property. Thank you! "
Phoebe - Apr 2025
"Very kind and considerate owners. Couldnt be better. Enormously helpful and extremely pleasant. Charming half-timbered cottage with a great strong shower, cosy kitchen & living room combination and very comfortable bed. Fantastic parking directly next to the rented cottage. Well heated and very charming, and spotlessly clean. Great walks across the fields to the local village of Thaxted and of course within easy travelling distance of the village, replete with half-timbered houses and windmill. "
James - Apr 2025
"We had a wonderful time in Goddard Mead. The cottage was very complete and there were walks on the doorstep. The welcome and stay was very warm. The owners are lovely people."
Annemieke - Apr 2025
"The owners Rob & Sharon, have gone to a great deal of work to sympathetically convert this historic building & we couldn't have had a warmer greeting from them both & of course Bonnie. Goddard's Mead has everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay. The location is in a great area of Essex and would recommend taking the time to wander around Thaxted and other villages/towns nearby to discover it's fascinating history & buildings. "
Carol - Apr 2025
"Such a lovely place to stay in a really beautiful, private location. The owners were really friendly and helpful, nearby if needed but without breaking that sense of privacy. The hot tub was perfect after a day of cycling! One thing to be aware of, the cottage is right under Stansted's flight path, and so there's a lot of aircraft noise. It only took us a couple of hours to get used to it and it didn't spoil our holiday at all, but something to be aware of if you're sensitive to noise. "
Inderjit - Apr 2025
"Had such a lovely, relaxing break. Cottage was immaculate, equipped with everything you need and some lovely added extras too. Couldnt recommended more"
Antonia - Apr 2025
"Had a lovely weekend away staying here. Would love to come back later on in the year."
Rachel - Apr 2025
"Lovely friendly owners. Couldnt do enough when the power went down due to the storm. Very well equipped and clean. Very warm cottage. Our dog enjoyed the enclosed outside space and us the hot tub!"
Penny - Apr 2025
"Perfect venue for a quiet break away. Sharon and Robert have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable. Although this was our second visit it definitely will not be our last."
Georgina - Apr 2025
"The place was lovely and with the dogs was great just walk around all the fields"
Chevaun - Apr 2025
"Stanning cottage with friendly owners and if course the jacuzzi. We had a great time."
Petra - Apr 2025
"A beautiful holiday home set in a lovely rural location. The slated courtyard was perfect and the hot-tub added to the luxury of the property. Great for country walks."
Amanda - Apr 2025
"Fantastic clean place, nice and quiet, hosts are lovely and helpful, great place for couples, the hot tub is amazing, nice enclosed garden for pets."
JANET - Apr 2025
"Absolutely everything had been thought of and the accommodation was spot on... The hosts were so friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. A perfect holiday in an idyllic spot! We will definately be booking again!!"
Caryn - Apr 2025
"The cottage was absolutely fabulous brilliant location really peaceful and relaxing the farm surrounding it was beautiful got to see the horses and the people who own it were really friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice quiet break"
Lisa - Apr 2025
"Very nice cottage. Ideal for a quiet break if you don't mind aeroplanes (at night mostly) as its quite near to Stanstead airport. Hot tub is lovely!"
Mary - Apr 2025
"Little Gem - Beautiful Cottage with everything you need, you dont need to bring anything. I overloaded the car not realising how well equiped the whole cottage is. Welcome pack has all information you need to know about the cottage and menus which was very well thought out. Thankyou for the little extras for our dogs and us. Owners, Sharon and Robert very quick to respond if you need to ask anything. K9's loved it - enclosed garden a bonus. Hot tub amazing. Thanks for the lovely break. "
